Review: I watched this movie on a 16 hour bus ride from Washington DC. It was absolutley no good. The plot was confusing, and the end was just creepy. The younger Zorro was pathetic, and the older Zorro was too weird. I would not reccomend this movie to families, as there is much violence. There was some historical reference, but not enough to consider this movie historical fiction.

Review: I don't give out 5 stars unless it near perfect. on a scale of 1-10 I give this 8.7First of all the picture quality is sharp but the sound is incredible. You can hear every slash, clap, step pounding all over you 5.1 sound system. Check out the theatrical trailer. It is of reference quality. (the sound) The DVD could have had some more extra's but the overall quality of sound and picture makes up for it. The film itself is entertaining and can be viewed many times repeatedly. It doesn't get dull too soon. Acting is there, plot is there, action is there. There really isn't anything bad I can say about this film . Well the stable scene with Zeta Jones was overdid a bit I think. but that just my tiny problem. Anyway. Highly recommended DVD.

Review: Sorry to come across so strong, but because of reviews like the ones given at AMAZON.COM (gracious encouraging reviews) of this [horrible] movie- YES THIS A [PATHETIC] MOVIE- I sat through this long, ridiculous piece of trash with my ten year old niece and other family members. Luckily we were at a hotel in New York City and we only had to pay the price for pay-per-view once instead of six movie price tickets, but anyway, I was ashamed to have suggested this movie which is CERTAINLY NOT a family picture with the extreme violence spread out evenly through this exhausting abortion. Getting away from the point that is not just a fun little film like it is somewhat represented to be, it is just plain DUMB. The character of Zorro is destroyed by having a young and old version and the young one (Antonio) is just a filthy thief who could NEVER transform himself into a dignified person of noble blood in the few days allowed and a swashbucker woman, that was purely for laughs but annoying nonetheless. YES, Anthony Hopkins adds some depth to this otherwise completely dismal picture (which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of the one it really deserves) but come on people, don't let a little of his polished acting fool you into thinking this ANYWHERE near the quality of THE MARK OF ZORRO with Powers, which puts this high-budget loser to shame. Shame on you people for giving it five stars--...

Review: This movie was the perfect mixture of romance, action and adventure. Anthony Hopkins turned in a surprisingly good performance as diego de la Vega (Zorro) Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones sizzled! I heartily recommend this movie, it blew me away.

Review: Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins and the everlasting beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones were so perfect! I was never a fan of the Zorro character, and so many friends encouraged me to watch the movie but at first I refused... that was a mistake! Until I saw it on cable last year, oh my God... it is so perfect. Genuinely a challenging, thrilling and loving story! Not to forget the touching music. Don't make my mistake, go ahead and watch it if not buy it and you won't be sorry!

Summary: The legendary Zorro
Review: About 5 years ago I first watched the Disney's Zorro series. I was 8 or 9 then and my child's heart was deeply affected by the knight in black. Then the time erased the image from my memory. At least I thought it did. Sometime this year I was put in a very deep depression the previous day. I was literally ill and could not go to school. My parents rented the movie and I had to take my mind from my trouble. I kept on watching the movie over and over again from early till 9 p.m. It has some inexpressible beauty and charm to it that "may never come again" (from the soundtrack by Tina Arena and Mark Anthony) in nowadays world. After watching the movie you will walk away light-hearted. Antonio Bandras, Anthony Hopkins and Catherina Zeta Jones portray their characters in the right, desired angle of all the passion and want of justice, freedom and happiness in the California of 19th century. The legendary Zorro will never die or should I say the legend of Zorro?

Review: I think this was a wonderful movie. Catherine Zeta-Jones turned in a masterful performance as Elena, Zorro's (Anthony Hopkin's) Daughter.She almost had me convincd she was Spanish instead of Welsh.Antonio Banderas was a wonderful Zorro, he had you cheering for him all the way. As Don Alejandro, he was suave, sophisticated, and positively charming.Banderas and Zeta-Jones' chemistry amazed me, Their dance scene kept me staring,their "battle" was enamoring, and the confessional scene awed me. (Maybe she should have married him instead of Michael douglas)Don Raphael and Captain Love are marvelous villans. Anthony Hopkins is a suprisingly good Zorro. Don't rent this movie, buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Review: this movie was dazzling! I oved the fencing. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio set the screen on fire with their intense chemistry. I heartily suggest this movie if you like "swash-buckling heroes" and good old fashioned romance.Anthony Hopkins did a miraculous job as Zorro.THis movie is the perfect mixture of action and romance, not to much of each.

Review: "The Mask of Zorro" is a classic swashbuckler film that offers its audience action, romance and adventure. "The Mask of Zorro" also has its elements of humor to it too; I especially liked the scene in the confessional where Antonio Banderas tries to pass himself off as a priest to the ever-so-fetching Catherine Zeta-Jones. If you love a good sword fight, or just a good movie, you'll definitely enjoy "The Mask of Zorro." If you rent it, chances are, you'll end up buying it.
