Summary: This film has been under-rated and is really a lot of fun.
Review: It wouldn't have mattered WHAT film Leonardo DeCaprio made after TITANIC, the biggest blockbuster ever would have overshadowed and dwarfed it. To say that THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK suffers in comparison is unfair. The film is actually surprisingly well-made and a rousing adventure story. The exceptional and talented surrounding cast of Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gerard Depardieu, and Garbriel Byrne practically guaranteed a thespian success with or without the also-talented Leo. Give the film a chance and a break--it really IS a lot of fun to watch!

Summary: A great movie, exciting and well acted.
Review: I liked this movie so much I saw it 5 times. It had a great plot with a little comedy from Porthos stuck in here and there. The four heroes were very well acted. But DiCaprio didn't do any 5 star job, and the love seen between Louis and Christine was a little long. Fighting seens were probably the best.

Summary: Leonardo is truly sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I am so in love with leo his cute little face. All my friends joke me because I'm so in love with him. I think I would probably go in shock if I saw him. But truly, they picked the right person to play the role. He acts so manly, also in his new movie TITANIC!!!!!! I wish I was Rose...........................................

Summary: A wonderful movie...
Review: I would have to say that this movie over-shined itself, despite having Leonardo DiCaprio in a leading role. Byrne played an absolutely fabulous d'Artagnan. As far as I'm concerned, the best yet. He had all the characteristics that one would look at in the school, older version of d'Artagnan. The other three playing the original Three Musketeers were not quite up to expectations. They were all wonderful actors, but for some reason did not fit the part well enough. If there were a chance to re-make this movie, I say that you keep Bryne, bring in a new actor for the double-role, Aramis, and Porthos, and bring Kiefer Sutherland back as Athos. Overall, that movie would be the best.

Summary: FABULOUS!!!!!
Review: I never knew such talent was out there, than the talent in this movie. I'm a tom cruise fan...and I fell in love with this movie. Leonardo has such a gift for playing 2 guys, and the other musketeers are just f---king fabulous, that I am literally speechless. I thought it was a great movie, with lots of action and not too much sex, like most parents are worried about. My 4a year old loves it, swords and all!! A must see, even if it's only once.......

Summary: A wonderful movie for anyone who loves outstanding movies.
Review: Leonardo DiCaprio plays the intriguing and cold-hearted villain, and also his charming, naive twin brother. The great Louie the sixteenth has unjustly sentenced his twin brother to live in a mask for forever (until he dies), for fear of losing reign of France. So Phillippe lives in a cold iron mask until the Three Musketeers free him, with a plan to switch Louie and Phillippe, since Louie is so mean. Ending with a legendary show of bravery and courage, the battle scene is the best part. Truly a gem of a movie, this is a must-see and also a must-have. A little inappropriate, at times, for a young child, but there's always the old cover-the-eyes-with-the-hand. I don't think, though, that violence or sexuality is a reason not to see this truly magnificent work of art.

Summary: A nice movie with the wrong leading actor
Review: This is a really nice movie ... but Leo just doesn't fit as this king. I like Leo as an actor (and of course I think he's cute) but .. I just didn't think he was a believable french king ... sorry! And the end .. it was a little too much ... too big of a cliche

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nothing like the book
Review: I loved the movie but it was nothing like the book by Dumas. I liked it better in the book.. In the book they talked about "the man in the iron mask" for maybe the first 100 pages of a 500 pg. book. The movie was MUCH better.

Summary: absolutely fantastic!!!
Review: a very nice movie. there were only two drawbacks. DiCaprio looked like a total girl, & secondly, isn't a french king supposed to have a french accent?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Over-shadowed by Titanic
Review: This is a moving, true story, that is wonderfully acted, and an all around comepletely wonderful movie. It is, it seems, over-shadowed by the long and mysterious Titanic, whose rave reveiws are not really helping any other movie which came out withen in six months of it. I'm not saying it's a bad movie, I'm a Leo DiCaprio fan, so of course I've seen Titanic. Seven times in fact, and I think it was well worth seeing every time, because I only love it more whenever I see it again. But that still doesn't mean it was good for any of the other movies coming out around it. The movie The Man in the Iron Mask is one of the most captivating films I have ever seen, and I rate it five stars with no hesitation.
