Summary: Great movie
Review: I thought this was a great representation of Robin Hood. Aside from some hokey moments, like when Fanny joins the fight (I mean, C'mon!), it was great. Of course, Alan Rickman stole the show as usual, and some of his preformance ended up on the cutting room floor. Kevin Costner was good, and I think it would have been worse if he attempted an accent and kept slipping in and out, which I'm sure he would have done.

Summary: It's a Flipper!
Review: My reveiw is not about the movie itself. The DVD is a flipper. After watching the movie most of the way through it you have to get up and flip the disk over to see the rest of the movie. dont waste your money on this one until they re-release it dual layered.

Summary: I LOVED it!
Review: I loved it, just about everyone did a good job acting (I really liked Christian Slater), but everyone else did good also. It was kinda politically correct but can you find a movie now day's that's not? And as for the historical correctness (as mentioned by someone else's review) it's a movie not a history book. It dosen't claim that it's real fact's, it's called fiction. Well I liked it I hope you will too!

Summary: Excellent renditition of an old story
Review: Very good telling of an old story. Take away the bad acting on the part of the Sheriff, the other actors performed with great sincerity and passion. Especially good was the Lady Miriam.

The only drawback to this movie was the Sheriff, who seemed to be little better than a clown. Morgan Freeman fit in quite well.

Summary: double sided, not dual layer... disappointed!
Review: I thought they should have included the Bryan Adams single that was on the laserdisc version.. my boy Bill loves that song.

Summary: Poor acting, characters and plot
Review: This is the politically correct version of Robin Hood, complete with a feminist Maid Marian, superstitious and ignorant Friar Tuck, and a Moor, in the role of the true hero. The character of Robin Hood is irrelevant, and annoying, as portrayed by Kevin Costner, who only does well in baseball movies. In any event, there were no Moors in medieval England, and the character of Friar Tuck has been changed to represent Hollywood's contempt for Christians. There were other historical inaccuracies- the Moor brings gunpowder to England almost 200 years before gunpowder was invented...But then, movies like this are only interested in politically correct multiculturlaism- not the truth.

Summary: GREAT MOVIE EXCEPT FOR COSTNER
Review: This is a excellent movie. great acting,(excluding of course Kevin Costner)great sets and locations and a wonderfull story. Oh yeah and plenty of action. Even the smallest parts are played realisticly and are well done. However Cosnter is just soooo bad its not even funny. The rest of the cast holds this movie up

Summary: Impressive.
Review: When I first saw this movie, I was a little surprised. More or less the movie is pretty historically accurate...of course not including that Robin Hood is a legend. The portrayal of King Richard's Crusades is believable, even despite the lack of accents. This movie is not for the squeamish however. The beignning scene in the Turkish prison is stomach turning as with poor Duncan who lost his eyes. All in all, a good movie.

Summary: Alan Rickman stole the show!!
Review: There are some very good things in this movie -- especially Rickman, Morgan and Mary Elizabeth, and the returning King Richard cameo. But Costner is just not Robin Hood. I love it in Mel Brooks' "Men in Tights" when Cary Elwes says "I can speak with a British accent."

Fun, entertaining movie, but wrong Robin.

Summary: awesome!
Review: this is one of my altime favourite movies. it's got a bit of everything: action, cool stunts, great humour and - of course, romance. not to mention some great acting, especially from kevin costner, morgan freeman & alan rickman. costner does it his own way again & it works everytime!
