Summary: Wow, this movie is a real stinker!
Review: I am writing this review to prevent others from wasting their precious time and money. Take it from a guy who appreciates good films and understands value, Pirates of the Caribbean is greatly over-hyped and overrated. I am not going to go into a detailed scene-by-scene breakdown or critique any of the actors because it is simply not worth my time to point out the faults.If you are reading these reviews for advice, then I hope that my words will be helpful to you: Beware of this disappointing movie!

Summary: Use the stars for each aspect of these discs
Review: This film was great. Depp was great as (the Keith Richards sounding) Captain Jack Sparrow, but the show stopper were the special effects. In one scene, when they're fighting it out, they show flesh, turn to skeletens when moonlight hits them, & go back to flesh flawlessly. This was a truly masterful film. Also as a side note, every scene from the ride is also in the movie. Now that the DVD's out, and I thought after the movie "It can't get better than this", it did. Not only do they have background material on the movie, but on the theme park ride itself (2 of them, but 1 requires a DVDRom). There's several special making of features, and a hilarious bloopers reel. This is also the most exstensive use of DVDRom features that I've ever seen. It's so elaborate, that they even have a vertual tour of the ride (quick time 6.0 required), and a morphing kit called, "Moonlight Becomes Ye". An extra side note. Because of the loud one minute soft talk the next, and Depp's Keith Richards mimic (brilliantly done - don't get me wrong), it's sometimes hard to pick up all the dialogue (unless you wear headphones, or drive the neighbor's crazy). That's when the subtitles come in handy. Because of the aspect ratio, the subtitles are shown under the movie (not on it). It also comes in handy if you're listening to one ot the 3 audio commentaries (3 audio commentaries - WOW). Kudos to Disney Studios, and Bruckheimer for making what is quite possibly the most Entertaining, and Versitle DVD's of the year. 5 stars for the movie, 5 stars for the bonus material, and 5 plus stars for the DVDRom material. This is what DVD was meant to be. YoHo, YoHo, a pirates life for me (Yar).

Summary: How could you not love this movie...
Review: This is one of the most entertaining movies out there right now, accuracy may not always be a on que but the entertainment value is awesome. All history and no entertainment would be boring and this movie is far from boring. I of course loved Johnny Depp, who wouldnt in this movie, he was awesome, and well of course gorgeous. Must buy movie, or at least see, you know, a couple dozen times.

Review: I am so pleased that Disney movies are starting to get entertaining again! I have been disappointed by the last few they have released, and was nervous about this film. But once again, Johnny Depp pulls off an amazing performance!

Review: Hey, they plundered two hours of my life! I want them back. No, actually, this is a fun film, especially if you are a kid and especially if you liked the ride in Disneyworld. Personally, I like the ride better--it's only 5 minutes long. But that's just me. The film has some great swordplay (the blacksmithy scene is excellent stuntwork) and Depp is wonderfully quirky as Jack Sparrow, pirate captain of the cursed Black Pearl. Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings) is fine and believable as the hero and there is a host of good actors supporting this frothy adventure comedy. For those who want fantasy fun from Disney, this delivers.

Review: The first time I saw this movie, my eyes were glued to the screen. It made me laugh, and made me lean forward with anticipation. Johhny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow is hilarious! His sarcastic remarks and crazy antics are enough to make even the most solemn of viewers chuckle. The swordfighting, and the scenes with the Black Pearl and the Interceptor will have you biting your nails. No matter what you like in a movie, Pirates of the Caribbean has it all. From humor, to action, to romance, you're sure to find something that enthralls you.
