Summary: awesome action filled humor
Review: The movie is a so full of action that you must see it more than once to catch all that it offers. The special effects are unbelievable. The humor is not only in the dialogue but also in gestures and facial features in response to situations. It's a must see for anyone who is awed by special effects and the humor and action will keep your eyes glued to the screen.

Summary: Much better than you'd think.
Review: Based on the Disney ride, and paying homage to it more than once, this movie is well worth the watch. Johnny Depp makes an excellent staggering pirate captain, accent, clothes and all, keeping excellent timing to be humourous without being a clown. Orlando Bloom, whilst looking quite young at the beginning of the movie, is the would-be buccaneer hot to deny what he truly is... and yet his actions at nearly every step refute that denial. And then there's Geoffrey Rush. An excellent bloody villian in a story where the heroes are more Joseph Campbell than Disney cookiecutter of old.The film's very tight. It doesn't lag in places, nor does it overwhelm. It's fun, funny, has the right amount of adventure and fighting to satisfy those itching to see swords clash, has serious moments that aren't out of pace with the rest of it. You can believe the Black Pearl actually sailing up to Port Royal with the quality of CGI in this one, rather than knowing it's all a soundstage green screen with a handful of actors and a few props about them. Soundtrack is excellent. People who liked the music for 'Gladiator' done by Hans Zimmer would do well to look into this soundtrack score as well.

Review: If you haven't seen Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse Of the Black Pearl, go see it this second! This is my favorite movie and would see it again and again and again and again, if I had anymore money. The movie has everything nessisary in a movie. It has action adventure and romance. Johnny Depp plays Jack Sparrow, sorry CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow a pirate out to get his ship the Black Pearl back. Orlando Bloom plays Will Turner a blacksmith rescued by a ship sailing to Port Royale. Keira Knightley plays Elizabeth Swann, the Governer's daughter who's looking for adventure. Keira also stars in Bend It Like Beckham. Pirates of the Caribbean the Curse of the Black Pearl is in theatres now and most definitly should deserve to win many awards this year. Go see it now! It rocks and is definitly worth your money!

Review: I think Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is this summers best movie. I was looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I saw the preview for the first time. I loved every minute of this movie. The action in this movie is awesome and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. The sword fights are very fun to watch. This movie is scary in a lot of places especially with the cursed pirates (which is where the special effects are the best). Johnny Depp is very hilarious in this movie, and he does a great job not to go overboard with his humor. Plus there is a little bit of romance in the movie that takes place but it doesn't happen until towards the end of the movie. This is one of those few movies that charms the audience plus it outstays its welcome. If I could see a movie twice, it would be this one. If you haven't seen this movie yet, go see it! You don't know what your missing.

Summary: Pure fun!
Review: With so many long-winded reviews here (I do a lot of those myself) I'll keep it short. This film is pure fun: truly a blockbuster rollicking good Hollywood time with hyper-dramatic performances that endlessly please. The scenery and special effects are marvelous, as are the costumes. Comedic touches make it complete. Sometimes a movie sweeps you away and takes you to great emotional heights - and that becomes everything. Such a wonderful time.

Summary: Excellent! Disney Strikes Again!
Review: Probally my second favorite film of the summer, this action-filled movie might be one of Disney's greatest, and that's the hard thing to belive, that Disney made this. I wouldn't take your cartoon-loving four-year-old to this; he or she would freak out after the first half-hour. And don't be scared about the zombie pirates. They're nowhere near scary (Alritght, they're a BIT scary, but I wouldn't make this a horror movie for them) It has an excellent, thick running plot and super charecters, not to mention the villain, Barabosa, who is one of the greatest movie villains of the summer. Last but not least, it has great special effects, like when two fighting zombies are rolling through the moonlight, they flash from skeletal to normal. SEE THIS!!

Review: Excellent movie! Nothing else needs to be said. Some of the most fun i've had watching a movie in a very very long time. Everyone, take my word on it, and GO see it, you will NOT be disappointed. By the way, for all the guys out there, just do me the favor, and see it at least for Keria Knightley; she is just gorgeous (just a little side note).

Review: As you may guess from the title, I think that Johnny Depp was incredible in this film. He stole the show, much in the way that Val Kilmer dominated Tombstone. As a life long fan of the ride, I saw all of the elements of the ride that were incorporated into the movie and it made me enjoy it all the more. Excellent effects and great acting all the way around. See this movie, I had to have the smile, from the enjoyment I got watching this film, sandblasted from my face. Yo-ho yo-ho a pirates life for me INDEED !

Summary: The best movie of the year!
Review: This movie was amazing. I saw it yesterday, and i was blown away. It was absolutly well put together. The dead pirates were sooo cool looking. They looked real.
Now, before I went to see the movie, I asked my bestest friend in the whole world if she wanted to come. She declined my offer. Too bad. She missed a great movie.
The plot was perfectly interwoven with twists and turns. Especially Jack Sparrow played by Jonny Depp. He was cunningly perfect. Jonny Depp is undenilable handsome, but put him in a pirate outfit, and watch out. He is a half drunk, pirate hottie. Depp is a good actor, as we know by Chocolat. But with POTC, he has transformed him self into a great actor. This could be the turning point for him.
Orlando Bloom. I could talk about him all day. As Willam Turner, he portrays a pirate's son. Although he doesn't find that out until in the movie. It is a break from Lord of the Rings. He has a bit more freedom. Plus, he doesn't have to wear a long white wig and try to sword fight. And of course, he's definitly hot...
In a movie such as this, you need the damsel in distress. Keira Knightly. She was brillant in Bend It Like Beckham. And was even more stunning here. She plays Elizabeth Swann, the governers daughter. And she is brillant at it. She is not the damsel in distress, well, not all the time anyway.
Considering that fact that this movie is based on the ride in Disney Land/World (not sure which one), the movie was really good. No, better than good. Excellent. Superb.
But before the movie, they showed a trailer for Hauted Mansion (another movie based on ride). It might be a good movie without Eddie Murphy. He just seems to think that this will be a comedy. But it looks like a horror movie. And I want to see it! The set looked amazing for this movie.
Overall, go see this movie. Take the kids. Take the whole family. And the best part is, not Disney logo with the castle at the beggining.
