Review: The movie was an OK action/swashbuckler film up to a point. Once Anthony Hopkins effectively left it though. I thought it deteriorated with Anthony Banderes and some clumsy humor being hard to take.

Review: Antonio Banderas is the up-and-coming Zorro, a character fit to have all the young chicks cheering. Great for the role he is in, but gals, you're cheering for the wrong man. Yawn to that young stuff. Anthony Hopkins can't be beat for style, class, brains, world weariness and charisma. Everyone cheers over young Zorro, but sorry, Hopkins takes my vote. I'll take the old man any day of the week.Great stunts -- as compared to over-used computer graphics. The horse stunts and swordplay are awesome.

Review: This film was pure entertainment! It had a little bit of everything: action, humor, romance, emotion. The score by James Horner was outstanding. I admire the fight scenes and how they were virtually bloodless and not too violent. I highly recommend this film for your family.

Summary: Critics are fools
Review: I have been a Zorro fan since I saw the movie with Tyrone Power as a matinee and this one captures the spirit of Zorro as that one did. Anthony Hopkins is really something and Banderas carries the tradition on in great style. It's kinda nice that they finally got a real hispanic to play the part. A "very lustful" dance helps the sparks fly, and Banderas's look at the end when he sees her father coming is priceless. All in all a very enjoyable, entertaining movie. Give us more like it. Long live Zorro!
