Review: Made in the epic stance of Ten Commandments and El Sid, It is good to see Superman in the HERO status rather than "dark side" or "adult" level. Reeve is awsome, Kidder great Lois and Hackman a good demented human being without being suggestive. Why can't Hollywood make good HERO movies like this one anymore?

Review: I saw this Movie a couple years back and never ever forgot it.I'm a superhero fan like non other. The special effects in this movie aren't that bad eighter,you got to remember it was 1978.And the cast is encrediable.Marlon Brando,Cristhopher Reeve,Gene Hackman,and Margot Kidder are an excellent cast in this wonderful superhero fantasy. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!

Review: This is the only and definitly Superman film.When I saw it for the first time in my native country (I was 4 years old), I saw it so real, that I spected saw him flying near to my window. This is the film that takes the essential aspect of the man of steel. And the beging of the legend of Christopher Reeve. An obligated film for the real Super fans. I hope see Christopher Reeve walking again, he's a very good actor, (if he hasn't suffered this terrible accident, he culd be fighting in the oscar's trial at this time), he has the cuality.

THE PART THAT MADE ME REWIND OVER AND OVER AGAIN WAS THE PART WHEN , HE WENT INTO THE PHONE BOOTH AND SPUN AROUND SOOO FAST AND CAME OUT TO SAVE HER...AND THE PART IN THE ALLEY WHEN HE RAN AS HE WAS CHANGING INTO SUPERMAN...GREAT EFFECTS...I WISH I WAS STILL IN THE 80'S ..THOUGH I WAS VERY YOUNG BUT SUPERMAN 1 AND 2 WILL ALWAYS BE A MOVIE U CAN SEE ANYTIME THEY PLAY IT ON TV. Summary: The definitive movie on the Man of Steel.
Review: Superman is one of the best movies ever made. It is truly the definitive film on the legendary comic book superhero. Great effects as well as being one of the best adapted films based on a comic book. Christopher Reeve plays the most human Superman ever. The rest of the cast is superb. Marlon Brando was also effective as Superman's father Jor-El briefly in the film. Richard Donner was the right director for a movie of this scale. This movie was released in 1978, Superman's 40th anniversary at the time. A must see for everyone.

Summary: Spectacular!
Review: Spectacular! John Williams had a lot to do with this. Reeve was made for the role and does an incredible job of splitting the personalities of Clark Kent and Superman. The script was great except for the ending which I thought relied on too much science-fiction to bail the story out. My only other criticism is that Donner should have had someone sing the words that Margot Kidder recites while she flies with Reeve. I personally hope they would just digitally remaster this movie (as well as the second one)and prevent anyone from producing more Superman movies. This was the first and it should be the last. I would love to see Reeve walk again and reclaim his role one more time. There will never be a person who was more suited for the role than he was. Nicolas Cage is an insult to the Superman legacy. Cage may be a fine actor, but you've got to at least have the looks for it to be believable. The Superman movies (I and II) blow away the Batman movies -- and I'm being objective (the first Batman was pretty good, though).
