Summary: Blah blah blah.....
Review: Blah blah blah....Everyone is getting all analitical over a comic book turned movie. If you were not a fan of the Hulk from the comic books you may not like the movie, it's not that great. But if you were a fan of the comic book and you take the movie as a comic book, you shouldn't be dissapointed. One thing though....the bridge scene in San Francisco....in the first shot it is all foggy and gray, then all of a sudden in the next scene it's a clear day...oops.

Summary: Brilliant film!
Review: This is the first time I've seen the Hulk, and I was blown away by it! Ang Lee is one of my favorite directors, is there nothing he can't do? The Hulk, a monster fulled by rage, could have been so easily overdone by any director. But Ang Lee tells the story perfectly. The editing is increadble in this film! It should be required viewing for any editor. Ang Lee has fun with this film, and the edits show it. But they do more than show it, they work! He breaks rules left and right (see if you can count how many times the 'line is crossed' in this film) and yet it still works. The cuts are extremely creative and a thing of beauty. The acting is supurb! And the body language of the Hulk is nuanced. I can't say enough about this film. Compared to any of the other action/sci-fi films out there (Matrix Re-whatever, Kill Bill) it beats them hands down with the acting and character development.

Summary: Hulk kicks Spiderman in the rear
Review: You call this boring??? Did some of these reviewers ever see the uncut version of Aliens. The opening for that was over an hour long, but you definitely would NOT call it a bad movie.

What is wrong with the American public today. Must we always see guns blazing in the first 5 minutes of a movie in order to catch our attention.

The Hulk is a great movie with excellent special effects. Its has a lot of character development, because thats the way it is in the comics. duh.

Summary: So much potential, so little payoff....
Review: Given the choice between a comic book adaptation that's dark and deep and one that's wafer-thin, I'll take seriousness and depth. Too many recent superhero fantasies have involved by-the-numbers stories dappled with computer-generated graphics.

But, man, Ang Lee's "The Hulk" requires way too much heavy lifting for your basic monster movie.

In telling the story of Bruce Banner (Eric Bana), a scientist transformed by his experiments into a big green behemoth, Lee gets a lot right. The colors and camera angles and production design neatly evoke the Marvel Comics renderings of Jack Kirby; the blunt, stark dialogue all but floats over the characters' heads in "word balloons"; and an array of split-screens, wipes and dissolves replicate the panels of a comic book, even if they are overused and distracting.

The crucial element that's missing, however, is fun. There's not a drop of fun in this long, low movie. There's no sense of adventure or wonder, which is the core of any fantasy. Instead, by filling the plot with lots of half-baked psychology about Bruce's evil dad David (Nick Nolte), Lee and screenwriter James Schamus have transformed "The Hulk" into a bland allegory about bad family ties. If they had injected just a little hope and humor into the story, it might not have mattered that the title character is obviously a digital effect. But they didn't, and "The Hulk" is clearly just an artificial creature.

Summary: Don't get me sleepy. You wouldn't like me when I'm.....zzzz
Review: "Hulk" was a disappointment. I hate to say it, but it's true. This movie had so much potential, but it fell flat from the word go. The story dragged on for what seemed like a lifetime, and Ang Lee's comic-style editing became annoying after the first few minutes. The highpoint of the movie is, of course, the Hulk. If you are blessed with a DVD player, simply skip over the parts that don't include a CGI graphic, and you'll have a good time. Eric Bana didn't win me over as Bruce Banner, and as much as I enjoy Jennifer Connelly, her Betsy character has the emotion of a stone. Nick Nolte was also a let-down in this feature. Sam Elliot was okay, but if you took off his military wear and slapped a cowboy hat on him, you'd think you were watching one of his westerns, which he is so much better in than this creation.

The "Hulk" creature was fairly good. Throughout most of the film, he seems reasonably real-life. If Ang would've given the CGI monster more screen time, this movie would have been a lot better. Granted, all he does is smash up things and save a few innocents along the way, but that is so much more interesting than the rest of this story.

I'm a big fan of comic book movies, and this is one of my least favorite adaptations. If Ang Lee would have left out a little more of the "why" Banner ended up as a green crushing machine, and got to the substance of this story, perhaps it would have been a lot better. Besides, when I think of the Hulk, I think about things getting ripped up and trashed. This movie, however, spends more time on the woes of child abuse, domestic violence, and genetic testing than our green hero.

If you can stay awake through the agonizing dialogue and ever-so-slow pace and actually see CGI Hulk, you may like this movie. If you're a die-hard Hulk fan, you may like this movie. But if you don't meet this criteria, please just consider this a rental.

Summary: Worst movie i have ever seen
Review: This movie was without a doubt the worst movie i have ever seen. Usually I rate movies in terms of how they do compared with my expectations, but even if i expected the worst, i would have hated this movie. I expected this movie to be an OK movie, entertaining but stupid and cheesy (spider man...). It was nothing short of awful. The plot took forever to develop, there was too much wierd scifi stuff, etc. The special effects were very good, but they did not translate into enteraining action sequences. I truly hated this movie and as a result will never see another comic book inspired moive again.

Summary: Not bad at all.
Review: Bruce Banner (Eric Bana)is a genetic scientist who, while trying to save a friend, puts himself infront of a radiation explosion. While recovering in the hospital, he realizes that he's not in pain and feels much better than he ever did. The downside to the accident is that it gives him the power to turn into a bulging green giant whenever his angry feelings no longer remain supressed. For someone not knowing anything about the Hulk, I was quite surprised to find myself enjoying this movie. The only bad thing I have to say about this film with the CGI in this film. It was awful.
