Summary: Good; Unexpectedly
Review: Having grown up in the time when DD first came out, I had doubts the film could do the comics justice. Ben A just did not come across as being the right one for the part. I was wrong; the movie actually inserted the emotional factor which can't be garnered from just reading. If you're a DD fan, you'll love it; if not, you'll still like it.

Summary: The best superhero movie yet!
Review: What I said is true. This movie rocks! What really boosts the movie's quality (not video or audio, but overall viewing) is the music. The music boosts up the action and the action boosts up the movie. Everything is good about it. The only thing I didn't like was Colin Farrel's character for some reason his accent was terrible and just he was ick! But that was the only bad thing other than that the movie was great and the soundtrack is kick butt! There is alot of great action scenes as well as good cameo appearances by Stan Lee (man at crosswalk) and Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob director Kevin Smith (forensics dude at forensics lab, a really funny scene who he shares with the wonderful Joe Pantoliano of Memento fame). A good date movie and a good movie to see on a weekend!

Summary: Successful Spiderman Follow Up
Review: Following the success of both X-Men and Spiderman, Marvel brings us yet another succesful comic to film transition. Daredevil, while still maintaining a comic book feel is a much grittier film than both of the previous Marvel releases. In fact, I feel that this film is oriented more towards adult movie-goers than younger ones, although it should be a perfectly acceptable film for older children.
THe casting in this film was superb. Ben Affleck was a perfect selection for the part of the Dardevil. As well, the gorgeous, Jennifer Garner, portrayed a very sexy and lethal Electra. The other supporting characters were also played well by their respective actors/ actresses.
Overall, I give this film a 4. I also highly recommend it to any older fan of the comic hero or action junkies.

Summary: Affleck's action premiere is awesome
Review: For those of you who know Ben Affleck as a lesbian-chaser/comedy-only guy, you just may be slightly shocked with his performance in "Daredevil". In this comic-based film, Affleck assumes the role of Matt Murdock as well as the "justice to be served"-minded Daredevil. But, as in many other comics, his character of Daredevil is hidden from the real world. And his everyday disposition is portrayed through Matt Murdock, a lawyer. But what is interesting about Matt is the fact that when he was a kid he was blinded; yet what blinded him only made him stronger in his other four senses. Then soon after he lost his sight, someone killed his father. But as he searches for revenge, he becomes more and more insecure about his role.You must understand that this movie is based on a comic book. And a comic book is meant mainly for kids to be able to understand. So if you're thinking to yourself, partway into the movie, that the plot is kind of bogus--you're right. It's meant to be that way. As I don't want to spoil any of the movie for you, I won't tell you much of what happens. But as you can imagine, Daredevil runs accross many foes and a few friends. One of those friends is played by Alias' (on HBO) Jennifer Garner. She (as the beautifully strong Elektra) becomes, after a impressive fight with Ben, friends with Matt. But the life story of Elektra is not quite favorable, to say the least. What really makes this movie excellent is not the plot. It's the direction. Mark Steven Johnson did an awesome job with, as I said before, a guy who didn't have much of an action background to support him. But from what I saw on a VH1 All Access show, Affleck and a few others took around two months of training for their roles. And it shows. You don't have to be a genius to see that. And if you're thinking to yourself that the scenes look too fake, you just don't understand. Another big plus for the movie was the supporting cast. It features, aside from Garner, Michael Clarke Duncan of "The Green Mile", Jon Favreau (who gives us some much needed comedy--without him that would've been something the film lacked), and Joe Pantoliano ("Memento" and "The Matrix"). There is also a cameo appearance by comic enthusiast and Ben's lifetime friend/co-worker, Kevin Smith. And if you're a Kevin Smith fan you'll love his appearance as a forensic assistant. I think Kevin was the only person to use a swear word in the movie. And fitting it was. Being that his movies are mostly curse words and vulgarity (not to say that's bad). Although I did not see "Spider-man", I'm going to assume that "Daredevil" is somewhat similar to it. I think that's a fair assumption. The reason I gave this movie 4 stars, and not five, has to do with Kevin Smith. Being the big Smith fan I am, I was disappointed to hear that his next project "Jersey Girl" was to be delayed. It was delayed because Affleck wanted to play the parts in "Daredevil" and "Jersey Girl"; yet this one came first. Call me shallow or call me stupid, but I don't think that's a way to treat a friend, or a girlfriend (Jennifer Lopez will be co-starring with him in "Jersey Girl", out this summer). Anyway, you should see "Daredevil". If you enjoy Ben Affleck, action or comics, then this movie is definitely for you. It's a great action-packed movie with a great cast; and it's one of the best comic book stories I've ever been a part of. Honest.

Review: totally different from what i was expecting. i thought it would be all sugar and happiness, like in spiderman, but the action sequences both surprised me and kept me on the edge of my seat. literally. i dont know how accurate it is based on the comic books, but i think it was worth seeing.

Review: I went and saw this movie the day it came out with one of my friends because she loves Ben and had to see it right away. It's not really my kind of movie (since I've never read a comic book) but I went anyways. The movie itself was pretty interesting. It wasn't great but it wasn't boring.
Jennifer Garner was awesome in it. I would go see it again just for her

Summary: Daredevil scores a Bullseye!
Review: With Daredevil, Marvel Comics has yet another spectacular film on their hands. Credit must go to the writer/director Mark Steven Johnson for adapting the story so perfectly. Ben Affleck surprises all his critics by giving the performance of a lifetime. Jennifer Garner continues to dazzle and proves that she's a superb actress, an action heroine, and a beautiful star all rolled into one. Colin Farrell breathes vibrant life into the psychotic super-assassin, Bullseye. Michael Clark Duncan introduces us to the ruthless Kingpin while John Favreau, Joe Pantoliano, and David Keith are superb in their supporting roles. Can't wait for the sequels!

Summary: First Marvel Movie to hit the fan.
Review: There are a about a thosand things wrong with Daredevil as a movie. But I will try and list the main ones as briefly as possible. 1. Miscasting; Everyone in this movie was not casted for the roles that they played. Michael Dungan plays a Kingpin who is not very evil or convinceing as evil. Colin Farrel plays a Bullseye who looks like he came from the art department of Roger Corman make-up. Jennifer Garner can not act on a TV show, nor can she do much better as a movie actress. Her Elektra is about as interesting as stale meatloaf on old bread. Ben Affelick talks a lot of corny dialoge as Daredevil. It sounds like it comes from the Daytime soaps. The actors who played Foggy Nelson and Ben Urich, also do lousy jobs. They should have been hired to do MTV music videos. 2. The screenplay is the pits. Mark Johnson's writing and directing skills are sadly lacking in all departments. He can not write nor tell a good dramatic story. 3. The Kevin Smith cameo apperance lowered this movie then it already was. The Stan Lee cameo apperance was uneventful. 4. There is so much vulger humor in this movie that it makes it all the more sad and patheic. This was the first Marvel Movie that really lacked in all departments of creativety or story telling. We already have a dark knight avenger type hero that they can do better movies on, His name is BATMAN.

Review: The string of Marvel movies continues with Daredevil, centering on the masked blind crime fighter that battles villains in the Big Apple. With so many other quality superhero movies coming out lately, there were a lot of high expectations for Daredevil. I am happy to say the movie delivered on most of those expectations. While Spider-Man was a better movie, Daredevil does profit by telling what is inarguably the best Daredevil story arc in the comics history, namely that concerning Elektra/Bullseye/Kingpin. Those comics are still regarded as classics, written by famed comic writer Frank Miller, and the movie is much better for following the dramatic tale. Daredevil, played well by Ben Affleck, is a highly trained super hero who happens to lack sight. This disability is overcome by his other super-heightened senses, including a strange and beautifully rendered radar sense. Like most superheroes do, DD, aka Matt Murdock, attorney at law, patrols the rooftops of the city every night, dishing out violent justice to various criminals. This criminal element is controlled by the Kingpin, played relatively well by a monstrous Michael Clarke Duncan. Fed up with various threats against his criminal enterprises, Kingpin calls in skilled assassin Bullseye. Colin Farrell, who delivers the movies best performance, is very convincing as the psychopathic killer who never misses. Added to the mix is Murdock?s love interest, Elektra, who is dragged into the gang war to come. The gorgeous Jennifer Garner brings a solid performance to the big screen. The movie overall is very good, although at times, I thought it became a little disjointed. Some of the fight scenes could have been a little more detailed, and sometimes Daredevil (a human) showed some really superhuman abilities. These are just trivial problems though, as the viewer is intrigued by the relationship between Elektra and Daredevil, and the devious villain Bullseye. The backup cast, including Jon Favreau and Joe Pantoliano, add a lot to the movie and the story. The final fights between the whole cast of characters is impressive, and Affleck pulls of the requisite emotions pretty well. Those of us who knew the story from the comics should be very impressed to see it on screen, but even those unfamiliar with the story should be very much entertained.

Review: DAREDEVIL is a great movie. The Effects are good and the stunts are excellent. I thought it was better that Spiderman and X-men. I thought it ranked up there with the first Superman and Batman. It confused me how Daredevil fought and after I saw this movie now I have an idea. This is a great comic book flick.
