Summary: Tim who?
Review: Tim Burton's dark, dim version of Batman never came close to the Batman Bob Kane created.
Now with Burton out of the picture viewers can come to know the story of the Dark Knight.
With Robin by his side, Batman is battling Mad Criminals like Two Face and The Riddler.
All the bat-gadgets and bad puns are back as they should be. This is a fun feel good movie!
It's the real Batman!

Summary: "We're 5 little items of an everyday sort..."
Review: Batman (Val Kilmer) goes up against The Riddler (Jim Carrey) and Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and gets a sidekick named Robin (Chris O'Donnel) whose family is killed by Two-Face. The two villians are made for each other as they go on thier crime spree. The best of the Batman movies.

Summary: Not too bad
Review: I've heard mixed reviews about this film and i don't agree with any of them so I feel the need to inject my opinion here.
"Batman Forever" is good. Disregard the first two movies and everything you've heard about it and you'll likely enjoy it. I don't view this as a sequel to the first Batman but more of a different take on the story. Sure some of it's cheesy but this movie is practically the Godfather in comparison to Batman and Robin.

Summary: Schumacher takes the "Dark" out of "Dark Knight".....
Review: I know when you watch a movie, you're supposed to temporarily suspend belief, but how in the world did Harvey Dent turn from Billy Dee Williams Jr in the first Batman movie to Tommy Lee Jones in this Batman movie. It would've been interesting to see Billie Dee as Two-Face, just like Michael Clarke Duncan played the Kingpin in the Daredevil movie.

One Last Thing--I hate to admit, but Schumacher had to play these Batman movies light, flaky and campy as long ws Robin was in them. In the comics and cartoons, Batman's character is so dark grim and moody, Robin has to make "light" of everything to ease the tension and make Batman not look [so uptight]! Without Robin, you can make Batmn psychologically grim, moody, and completely obsessed with fighting crime! That still doesnt excuse Schumacher from ruining Batman the way Adam West and Burt Ward did.....

Summary: This one killed the "Batman" movies!
Review: I loved the original "Batman" film(1989), and enjoyed "Batman Returns" (1992) even more. Now they just HAD to do a sequel with cheesy special effects, bad acting, and barely any action at all! Val Kilmer just doesn't have the good ol' touch to be the Gotham hero compared to Michael Keaton, the BEST Batman of them all! Skip this one along with "Batman & Robin", for they both seemed to have killed the series. See the first two instead, they are true classics than this mess!

Summary: TIM BURTON, WHERE ARE YOU?
Review: The third chapter in the "Batman" series is without a doubt, a shame for all the superhero fans; the first thing that you can notice is that "Batman Forever" seems to be made for children.......... Tim Burton is not here anymore, neither is Michael Keaton, and neither is the fun of the two previous movies. In this film, the Gotham City superhero is now Val Kilmer, a stiff and way too serious Val Kilmer, I must say......Also we can find Tommy Lee Jones as "Two-Face", in perhaps his worst role in his fine career; as "the Riddler", we can find comedian Jim Carrey, he plays the part nicely and steals the show from the two superheroes and the other villain.........but the most interesting novelty in this mediocre film is the gorgeous Nicole Kidman as the new love interest of Batman.....If you are a fan of Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman or Batman, watch this movie, but that probably will be the only time you see this awful movie.

Summary: PURE ENTERTAINER ,DONT WASTE TIME JUST BUY IT

Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey also performed well. Its the movies which will entertain you.Special effects are beautifull.

Summary: Last of the good ones.
Review: This time, Val Kilmer dons the cape & cowl as he takes on "Two Face" (Tommy Lee Jones) & The Riddler (Jim Carrey) who combine forces to expose Batman's secret identity by the use of a mind-reading device. The ultra-sexy Nicole Kidman co-stars. The music could have been better though.

Summary: Manages to both ... and blow
Review: In his ...tastic reimagining of the Batman franchise, Joel Schumacher manages not only to fill his story with ridiculous plot elements but also to drain the backstory of all drama and emotion. The worst performance by Val Kilmer ever. He plays Bruce Wayne as if he's uninterested in how the movie turns out. Jim Carrey makes a terrible, non-intellectual riddler who is more concerned with physical contortions than mental puzzles. Instead of showing the tragic backstory of Jones's "Harvey Two-Face," Schumacher bizarrely opts to have it coldly related in a newscast so that more time can be spent on the brain-sucking (both literally and figuratively) plot. Finally, Scumacher commits the ultimate sin, with a ridiculous, near-instant "cure" for the emotional scarring that provides Bruce Wayne with his reason for being Batman. Apparently ruining this movie wasn't enough, so Schumacher had to ensure that all future Batman movies that followed in this continuity would ...as well. The only highlight of the movie was Robin, who is well played and whose origin is relatively faithful. The only way to enjoy this movie is to watch "Batman and Robin" first, because then this one at least looks good by comparison.

Summary: Got worse
Review: No doubt about it, the BATMAN series is getting worse as it goes down the line. The first two were great. The first one was better than the second, but now the second is far better than the thrid. It is mostly because the BATMAN series is basicly starting over from scratch. A new Batman, a new director, and a very different and irritating scenery. First: the new Batman/Bruce Wayne played by Val Kilmer. The chemistry just isn't good at all. And a lot of people say it was because it just takes to much getting used to after Keaton's great portrayal as the original Batman, but I can assure you, there is nothing to get used to. Val Kilmer is not good as Batman. The new director Joel Schumacher, is a somewhat good director in movies like THE CLIENT and the newer movie BAD COMPANY but definatly not cut out to direct a Batman movie. And the scenery just [stunk]. It went from the really dark and gothic feeling that Batman is supposed to be to a lighter, neon color filled Gotham Ciity. It's like a little kid's Batman movie. The thing that really saved this movie was Tommy Lee Jones's awesome performance as Two-Face. He was great at bringing the schitzophrenic character to life. And even Jim Carrey gave a surprising perfromance as The Riddler who he was pretty much born to play. The plot was ok to a certain degree. More com;licated than the first two were. And now the moment everyone waited for has arrived. ROBIN is now part of the Batman cast. Everyone knew it was going to happen. And I wished it would have happened also to continue the Batman series. But it was very unfortunate that they introduced him in this kind of a Batman movie. But the movie over all was good. Overlooking the bad Batman, director, and scenery, the movie was still fun and worth buying to add to the Batman collection. I mean it's still Batman and Batman is still the best superhero so you can't go wrong with any Batman movie.

"Batman Forever" runs for 2 hours. It is rated PG-13 for some strong violence and very brief sexuality.
