Summary: A Collector's Must Have Item
Review: I'm a hige fan of spidey and this box set was no disapointment. ... The Spider-man dvd menu could have been tweaked a little better and the outakes/casting auditions are pretty [bad]. However, the movie itself is great and the other bonus features such as the rogue gallary, the many loves of Peter Parker, and etc. do well to make it up.

I know that a "Deluxe Spider-man" set is coming out but be warned!!! It is the regualr widescreen edition + Stan Lee's Mutants, Marvels, and Monsters, and the Spider-man Soundtrack.

Summary: Spider-Man
Review: This movie was quite thrilling. I love to see a red, masked man swooping through skyscrapers and taxi cabs, into burning buildings and busy bridges. I also loved the fascinating battle between good and evil, and the struggle within the characters between their human and superhero personas. Very intriguing and mysterious.

However, I felt the ending was kind of weak. I realize it was a lead-in to a sequel, but really, something more has to go on there. I don't want to give anything away, but those who have seen the movie might know what I'm talking about.

Also, I felt the additional content was rather lacking. You have to give customers something more exciting than a few sloppy histories of comic books and commentaries on the film. I was underimpressed.

But the movie was good. Quite good.

Review: I had my doubts about toby muguire, but about a half hour into the movie i new he was spider-man, and mild or nerd-y peter parker. great movie for all ages. there were some cartoon parts that dident seem real to me but over all sam raimi did a great job in the directing of this movie.

Summary: ok dissapointing ending
Review: the movie was good, the actors were really good yet the ending was very very very dissapointing. Because it really ruins the relationship between Kirsten Dunst and ahem... Tobey Maguire:)!But as far as the story goes it was pretty good. A lot better than I thought it would be! I really recommend this to action fans, fans of the comics but I think romance fans...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................this might be ok every once in a while but I wouldn't check it out like every week because the romcance part is kindof depressing. BECAUSE HE DUMPS HER IN THE END THE WOMAN HE LOVES!AND THE WOMAN WHO LOVES HIM BACK!! I FIND THAT THE STUPIDEST THING SPIDER-MAN COUD'VE EVER DONE IN THIS ENTIRE MOVIE!. So as you can see it kinda dissapointed me at all cost as a die-hard romance fan I was kinda dissapointed yet kindof satisfied.

Summary: Get this movie! It's WAY COOL!
Review: Spiderman rocks. That's basically what I have to say. I wan't a Spiderman fan when I saw this movie in theatres, but the movie was awesome. It still is. This movie is about an ordinary teenager who gets superpowers. Then he has to save people, and stuff like that. Be a superhero. But he still has a crush on a girl he's known forever. This movie is great. It has action, sad stuff, parts that make you jump, and romance. Also, the DVD's special features are cool. It has info about how the movie was made, music videos ^_^, and tons of other stuff. I totally reccomend this movie, wether you're a Spiderman fan or not. It rocks.

Summary: Widesceen version on Pioneer DVD player
Review: Although both the packaging and the DVDs themselves are
identified as the widescreen edition, my Pioneer DVD player
only played the fullscreen version; I could not get the
widescreen version to play. The package info does not even
indicate the fullscreen version is on the disc. On a different
brand player, the widescreen version did play.
(So both versions are on the DVD even if the viewer can't
choose between them.) -- I returned the DVDs and did not
get another, assuming any copy would have the same result on
my player.

Summary: An A+ super hero movie to come around in a while..
Review: I was a Spiderman fan when I was little but grew away from it and became a Superman fan/collector. However, watching this movie brought it all back. I thought the movie was packed with some real good action and adventure. Good plot and it stuck to the comics. This movie definately kept my attention, especially in the end when Spidey got hammered by the Goblin. I highly recommend this.

Summary: Excellent for fans of the comic book...
Review: If you are reading this review, you know what the movie is about. So I am not gonna review the movie, but the DVD. This is a MUST for all Spidey fans, both comic book and movie versions. The extra's on disc 2 cover the history of Spidey in comics, there is a nice documentary with Stan Lee and other writters and illistrators. They have a history of Spidey villians, Peter Parker girlfriends, and my favorite, they highlight certain issues of the comic book from 1960 through today. I never read the comic, but i enjoyed the movie very much, and I learned alot from this DVD. I sort of wished I did read the comic. The makers did an EXCELLENT job on the DVD. So even if you are the few who are a fan of the comic but didnt like the movie, you should buy this DVD.

Summary: Just stick to the movie
Review: The movie itself is great. The problems of the gift set are, well; No.1, I think the interview of Stan Lee's is extremely lengthy and boring and I'm actually typing this very review as I can't stand watching it but couldn't turn it off as this is the first time I'm playing the dvd(and probably the last). My advice is, you have to be a die-hard Stan Lee's fan rather than Spider-man's(or other characters') in order to live thru watching the stupid interview; No.2, The litograph would have made us so much happier if it had had been autographed personally and not printed; No.3, how would the 35mm film cell be made 'collectible' if everyone gets to have the same segment of the same scene from the film? Basically, it's still OK to buy the gift set if you are not too fuzzy and not mind paying a little extra. Otherwise, just stick to the movie.
