Summary: Jackie Chan Meets the Predator
Review: The Vampire movie to end the fascination with Vampire movies once and for all. I've seen the first installment 20 times and there is no comparison. The sequel is a terrible disappointment and you'll literally be dying to hit the stop button 15 minutes into this drivel. Somebody had the idea to give all the vampires black belts and speed up the action 3X so they could squeeze more blurry action into this major dog-it doesn't work. Quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen...

Summary: blade hybrid cross with preditor 2, the best film ever!!
Review: This drastically under publicised classic is mos def one to watch, this blade/preditor 2 cross combines all the classic acting talent of blade (wesley snipes) and whistler (kris kristofferson) aswell as adding new actors such as reinhardt (ron pearlman-aliens ressurection)to spice up an already impressive cast. this truly brilliant film is a new type of hybrid cross of films to lead the way in the film industry, up there with the greats such as the matrix, and boys in the hood etc etc. the soundtrack does not reflect the film as many songs where left off the album (in fact, all the good ones were) so dont be disheartened. this truly brilliant, blood ridden, fast, action packed film will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way thru and will keep you begging for more vampire violence in the form of mass masacres. mos def one to watch. dont miss its release!!!

Summary: About time!!
Review: The first Blade was very entertaining and I was beginning to think there would not be a sequel. I have the first one on DVD, saw the second one and am awaiting that one to come out in DVD so I don't have to go bankrupt watching it again and again. Very good movie, I've read the reviews, etc and won't try to impress anyone with my knowledge of graphics plots, etc. just a good must see movie. Sit back and enjoy !!

Summary: A strange movie to turn out so great.
Review: If someone told me a year ago that I would be thrilled with the sequel to an OK action/horror movie based on a pretty cheesey comic book, I'd say he was nuts. Everyone knows sequels rarely out-do the movies before them, and numerous sequels to movies based on comic books are typically greenlit until the franchise has been milked dry. So why the heck did Blade 2 turn out so great? It's tight, much more focused than the first Blade, more intense, and so much more fun than it should be. If you're not already predisposed towards this sort of movie, Blade 2 likely won't change your mind. You'll be bludgeoned with violence, sinister techno music, and enough macho posturing to remedy sitting through any chick flick. Plot-wise, there isn't much here that hasn't been done a thousand times before, but the execution is so fluid it hardly matters. Mortal enemies uniting together for a common cause is always facinating, especially knowing that the bond won't hold after the cause is gone. The Reapers are some of the best movie monsters in quite a while. The action sequences are often amazing to behold and the CG that glues several shots together is pretty good when the effect is used sparingly (a CG Blade fighting a GC vampire is not very convincing). I laughed during a sequence of the gang, dressed in black leather, walking in slow-mo across a street while rap music played in the background. Pretty silly stuff, but it fit in completely. And after all, a movie about a half vampire vigilante who slays vampires has got to poke fun at itself. Or be mercilessly self-indulgent. Either way, it's great fun.
This is also the movie that put director Guillermo del Toro on my radar. I would also recommend his recent "Devil's Backbone." He's definately someone to keep an eye on.

Summary: Classic Entertainment
Review: I would simply like to state, for the record, that I believed the first "Blade" movie to be nothing more than unoriginal, but stylish dreck. Some movies simply aren't meant to have plot, and "Blade" was one of them. What started out as fascinating ideas (a society of vampires, just barely at a truce with humans) quickly turned into setups for dull cliches (the young brat who wants to destroy everything and rule it all) that we've seen in countless comic-book and comic-like movies. It was cool, but the art, the poetry of the vampire state of being, was missing. If it weren't for what I had read from the critics, I would never have watched "Blade II."

It would have been my loss. The movie is a whirlwind of action and style, with a surprising jolt of humor, and (gasp) character interaction that really *works!*

Yes, it does employ a few cliches, but treats them with just enough popcorn sensibility that they become entertainment. Yes, we've seen the age-old enemies work together a thousand times, but have they ever been played off as well as when Blade and Reinhardt just barely hold back? No one is better at low-key villainy than Ron Perlman, and he's at his best here. And yes, we've seen the kill-or-be-killed roller-coaster ride before, ever since "The Birds" and "Aliens." But it still works, when done right.

The movie began to surprise me in other ways, though, and slowly took on a life of it's own. I was finally really allowed the chance to ponder what it must like to be an ordinary vampire, and given a few glimpses in this film's nightclub scene. Really, it looks like not much change: there's still sex, drugs, and dancing. However, there are razorblades in the kisses, and when you throw your back out, you can simply open up your flesh and get right to the problem. Then, in the third act, the movie began to transcend. There were twists and betrayals so deep, the film began to take on the air of a Shakespeare tragedy. Religious symbolism began popping up (don't worry, it's not really obvious unless you're pretentious like me), and the movie became one that I knew I must see again.

Yes, this sounds crazy. I mean, we're talking about "Blade II" here! What better candidate for the "lame-movie" bin? But we also can't forget that screenwriter David Goyer also wrote the first - and best - "Crow" movie, as well as the amazing "Dark City." Neither are really life-changing, but they *are* riveting, deep, and fun.

This is a movie that belongs in the ranks with those: classic entertainment.

Summary: Whats new in Blade II
Review: First off, if you liked Blade I i suggest you go watch this movie. You really have to watch the first movie to understand the begining of the second. I think its a good rental not worth the money.... Blade one was verry good. Blade II cant compaire to the fight sences in Blade II. The Plot was horrible also. There was no point or reason Blade had to fight the new vampire.
