Summary: VERY ENTERTAINING!!!
Review: This movie really is a crowd pleaser. It has comedy, romance, and adventure all in one--you won't be disappointed! Banderas was great (he deserves an award for his role) and Mask of Zorro gets 10 stars for entertainment.

Summary: They don't make them like that any more
Review: They don't make them like that any more - or perhaps they do. With a flash of executive producer Steven Spielberg's brilliance, and more than a healthy serving of the fiesty beauty of Catherine Zeta Jones, a rejuvenated Anthony Hopkins and a sultry Antonio Banderas combine to produce one of the most truly entertaining films of the year. Everything in the The Mask of Zorro is cliched, but so shamelessly as to only add to the swashbuckling adventure which grips the attention. Laughs and tears, they are all part of the package. It is not hard to find gaping holes in a plot - certainly Oliver Stone would never have it - but The Mask of Zorro is not a film where the plot is so massively important. Every moment of the film is engaging, breathtaking and exciting. Indeed, it is an exhausting experience. Experience it.

Summary: Excellent fencing and romance.
Review: The fencing was one of the most exciting things in the movie. They are very well coordinated. The romance captivated me.

Summary: A good action adventure movie
Review: I thought that the movie was very action/adventure and kind of funny too. I rate it a five. It had a good plot too.

Summary: Thrilling story of good over evil.
Review: An excellent combination of action, romance and comedy. This movie is intriguing from the minute you see the first Z slashed on the screen.

Summary: Worth Owning
Review: As a fan of the original Zoro, I was skeptical that this movie would be any good. I was proven wrong. Overall, it was very enjoyable. There were a few scenes that could have been done without, but the occasional campiness, cheap shots and running gags kept the movie from being too overbearing and serious. I don't think I'd let the little ones watch it, but on the whole, it's a good film for just about anyone.

Summary: The Swashbuckler Returns and How!
Review: In the grand tradition of "The Adventures of Robin Hood", "The Sea Hawk", "The Flame and the Arrow" and, of course, "The Mark of Zorro", "The MASK of Zorro" is pure escapist swashbucking fun. All the ingredients that made action films of the past so enjoyable are all here- likeable characters, swift (and well choreographed) action, stirring music and wonderful performances. Errol Flynn, Douglas Fairbanks, and Burt Lancaster all tip their swords to Antonio and Anthony.
