Summary: Fast Paced Futuristic Fantasy
Review: Normally I shy away from Sci Fi due to the usual goop and robot insect creatures, so I waited forever to see this movie. Keanu Reeves really got me hooked on the story. He is perfect as the software techie/hacker who moves from virtual reality to reality (they say).

The fear of machines taking over the world is exploited to the max. Humans are not
only used as a power source, they are bred for the job. Each living in their own virtual reality, while being hooked up to serve the planet. Anyway, that is a small part of the movie, although disturbing.

Neo (Keanu Reeves) is drawn into his own destiny through a phone call and phones become an intrical part of the story as the way the characters move back into a state of reality, where their bodies are hooked up ready for their minds to be programmed with the newest information at a minutes notice.

Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) is trying to save the planet from the machine takeover and is convinced Neo is the "one." Near the end of the movie, Keanu gets into some real power positions that are highly attractive.

He knows how the world should be, how it deserves to be, and everywhere he turns, he is faced with the fact that there is something wrong with his world. In fact, he is not in the real world, but in a virtual type reality that controls his life.

In order to conquer this world, he has to start to believe he can. During this fight for what he believes is right, the special effects really capture your attention.

I was pretty fascinated with all the concepts involved. It was not only intellectually fulfilling, but there is a ton of
suspense, action and of course Keanu Reeves.

Hey, It's a good reason to watch a movie
if I ever heard of one. ;)

Summary: The Matrix Hurah.
Review: I'm sorry, but this movie is dumb. When I went to watch the 1st time, I wasn't ammused. The story is easy to figure out (a greek philosipher came up with this theory along time ago) and the effects, well, they were to laugh at. They were the worst special effects I've seen. They look so fake. Even the film's highlight was unippressive. You could see a little black outline around the girl when she jumped up and paused in the air. I don't know why everyone thinks that so good. The reason it gets two stars is because it tried to be original, but sadly it's taken a story that has already been told and hollwoodized it. I'm not that easily ammused Hollywood. This film made Star Wars Episode 1 look great. ...

Summary: A New Classic
Review: The interesting thing about this movie is, whether you like it or not, it is a classic already. We don't need to wait and see if it lasts another 20 or 30 years. Let's hope it isn't pulled out that long anyway, look what happened to Star Wars. The great thing about it is that it is not just eye-candy. It is what we have all been waiting for- sci-fi that makes you think. The only downside is that I am tired of people being confused by it. Sure, maybe it is a complicated movie, but please pay attention. To sum up, I think the movie is best described in the words of Keanu Reeves- "Whoa!"

Summary: The special effects sold this movie.
Review: As an avid movie watcher, I am always looking for anything new. This movie delivered with its ground-breaking special effects. The directors will be hard pressed to match this movie's success in the sequels unless they come up with something new.
The plot was also somewhat new, the idea of living a dream while being used as a human Energizer also broke new ground. The mixture of an old karate movie and a good sci-fi flick worked out well in my opinion as well.

Summary: What else needs to be said... the best
Review: This is the greatest Sci Fi movie of all time .. what else can I say. The story and premise are awesome, I love movies that make people's view of the world/universe turn upside down. OK mabye Keanu can bug sometimes in some movies but he works in this one all things considered. The story and concepts are what really make this movie. The special effects and action are just icing on the cake. One hell of a movie, Mister Anderson.

Summary: Simply the best DVD ever made
Review: To put it simply, The Matrix is the best DVD ever created by mankind. But a little strange. I'm not trying to put it down, (because personly I think it deserves 6 stars) but Neo having 2 lives? Coming back to live? I don't know about you, but I take that as being a little out of the ordinary. But like Final Fantasy, you need to watch it 2 or 3 times for it to make complete sense. But I just watch it for the action, not the storyline(although it still has a pretty good one). And the whole thing's not people kissing, witch most intense action movies are.But who cares, it's still A MUST HAVE! CLICK THAT ADD TO SHOPING CART BUTTEN NOW! YOU WON'T REGRETTE IT!

Summary: Amazing!!!
Review: My wife and I saw this opening day while we were visitng Toronto. I was suprised the theater wasn't packed with all the publicity this film got. Either way, it was a knockout. We loved this movie for all it's special effects and action. Although I'm not a Keanu fan, he did play admirably. Lawrence Fishbourne was the true star of this film. Once you watch this movie you'll be forever wondering if we are also part of a matrix.
