Review: Matrix brings the sci-fi category into a new era. I would say that even people who doesn't like sci-fi, just have to see this movie. The Plot is set at present day, but as the movie goes on you'll find out that this is not for sure. Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne takes this movie to another level! I wouldn't give this movie 5 stars, but 6!!! "Do you dare believe it's true?"

Summary: I love a plot that challenges your mind
Review: I love this movie. My boyfriend took me to see it (it was a compromise: He got mindless action and I got to see Keanu Reeves!) But boy was I supprised when the plot amazingly kept me awake!! I mean you had to pay attention to know what was going on (and I love that!!) Both my Boyfriend and I came out raveing!! Some one below me said it was as "hard to understand" as Mission Impossible. Well I dont know what this says but I loved that movie too. It was the same AKA it kept me watching the movie instead of driffting off to look at my watch! Maybe this guy just wants to be able to numb his mind out and watch blood fly, but if your not like that but still want action go for this movie because it WAS GREAT

In this reality, right here, right now, our experiance is only our perception, our beliefs. Change your perceptions, change your experiance. Change your beliefs, change the world! Best movie I've seen all year!

Summary: Things to Think About...for a Change
Review: What an outstanding movie! It's been ages since a thought-provoking movie has been produced. Sure, there was plenty to criticize. But the underlying theme hasn't been touched in a meaningful way since "2001: A Space Odyssey." Computers and "artificial intelligence" have become such an integral part of our society that it's hard to imagine life without them. "Matrix" takes us into the next realm of our existence---or at least makes us consider what life might be like. The movie does attempt to appeal to our baser "shoot 'em up" instinct on occasion. It's dialogue, however, is what stands out, particularly between Neo (Reeves) and Morpheus (Fishburne). If you're not stuffing your face with popcorn, you are drawn into a critical analysis of where we are headed as a society. In time, we'll look back on this one and call it a classic.

Review: Let me say that I think MATRIX is one of the best sci-fi movies we've gotten in '90s. However, it is overrated by many. To say this is as good as STAR WARS EPISODE I is perhaps the most absurd comment I've heard in a decade. Granted, MATRIX has fantastic action sequences and a well-executed concept. But the characters are *weak*. Very weak. They're not memorable. The Oracle was pathetic. The villain is also poor. Agent Smith isn't exactly Vader or Maul or the T-1000. He's a guy in suit that talks like he's out of X-FILES. That's about it. So yes, MATRIX is a great movie. Yes, it is worth your time. No, it is not as good as STAR WARS.

Summary: There is no middle-ground
Review: Viewers of this film fall solidly into 2 categories. 'loved it' or 'hated it' depending on how much you love grand conspiracies, and stories that make you either suspend belief or disbelieve. The Matrix is a wonderful techno-fairy-tale, follow the white rabbit, be swept down the rabbit hole, believe or cease to exist. I (along with all the rest of the coppertops) think it is thought provoking, exciting, and if you're willing to accept the different reality you have to accept it completely. A wonderful offering, and I look forward to the remaining 2 films in the trilogy.

Summary: SuperCalaFragaListicExpialy-dope flick!
Review: For all y'all who don't know. Dope means tha bomb. Bomb means the baddest ever! Critics will say it wasn't original, idiots will say it's not worthy of the title "film" and was a waste of thier $$$. Loosen up would ya? The Matix is the best Sci-Fi movie to date since Terminator 1 & 2. The fighting choreography was so phenomenally constructed, the newly introduced graphics was superbly enhancing. The acting? I wont even bump that. It wasn't almighty and superb, sensational and smashing, yet it was adequate enough to warrant my 5 star rating! It is a must see. Anybody who insults this movie just cannot comprehend what sci-fi means or the depth of hypothetical thinking. Every friend I know who hated this movie has re-seen it by my recommendation and has ended up thanking me. I just bought a DVD Player and now await the best purchase of my life. Matrix on DVD - Widescreen, Dolby Digital Stereo... oh yeah!!! Can't wait for the sequels. 2 thumbs way up!
