Review: Where does one begin to critique a movie that was so good? The Visual FX were breath-taking and have developed a whole new level of mind boggling movements to this close to mastered division of movies! While many movies these days tend to be heavy on special effects and light on substance, I was pleased to see the Wachowski brothers had managed to maintain an excellent plot structure and build it in an amazing sequence of events straight up to the end. This is a definate must see!!!

Review: 1999 will undoubtedly go down in my book as "The Year of Confounded Hollywood Hype", and "The Matrix" only reinforced my unwavering belief. I didn't even bother to go see it until it was released at the $2 cinema near me, and I must say it was a judicious decision on my part. I don't know which is the worser of two sci-fi evils: this endless 140 min.-long piece of shoot-em up VR drivel or "Phantom Menace" with the horribly irksome JarJar Binks (I've boycotted Pizza Hut until they take that idiotic alien off of their boxes). Everything that is allegedly great about "The Matrix" can be seen in just the 1-2 minute trailer! The only thing that spares this "fabulous" action tale from one lousy star is the hyperactive fist-fight scenes between Keanu/Laurence and that demonic Tommy Lee Jones MIB look-a-like agent. If I have to be looked upon as a disgruntled creton since I'm obviously in the minority of popular opinion of "The Matrix", then so be it! At least I'm a red-blooded American male who can think for himself and not with my d--k, an apparent rarity in this stultified, violence-laden society! If you want to see a truly provocative VR pic, go see David ("Scanners") Cronenberg's "eXistenZ". Hopefully it's plot won't be too much for your pion-sized minds, but then again, you'll probably just watch it for the gorgeous (AND BRILLIANT) Allegra Gellar (Jennifer Jason Leigh)!

Summary: Good Graphics, good story line, good acting and a lot more
Review: The Matrix is an excellent film. The graphics are just out of there and the acting performed by the actors is very good but what i can't get over is how excellent the story is. I mean whoever came up with the story must be a genius! The story is a little hard to follow at the beginning but it all falls into place if you follow the story carefully. i've seen many movies but this is without a doubt one of the best movies i've ever seen!

Review: Oh I'm so thrilled it's coming out on VHS! I heard on a site that it wasn't and now it is! =) Seriously, this is one of my favorite movies. I only saw it once in theaters, but that's because I had to leave for vacation after that. I saw it with my brothers and Dad because I just... wanted to see a movie. I thought it'd suck. Since I have 3 brothers and am the only girl, I'm more into action stuff than girls at my school, but I think even they would like this movie because of the chemistry between Neo and Trinity. EVERYONE BUY THIS OR THE MATRIX WILL GET YOU!

Review: well this is mostly in response to other reviews. This movie was not the best movie ever or even of the millenium for that matter, but it was good. I just love how everyting is shown to you and the movie is just pure action throughout. I'll buy it!

Review: I rarely enjoy action movies; you may get a few cheap thrills, but you don't respect the movie in the morning. With The Matrix the Wachowski brothers have created a hip, stylized sci-fi offering, that actually has its merits as a movie. The action seuences are incredible - as said before, pure style - and the plot is not a mere excuse for the action. You might actually have to pay attention. I fully recommend this movie to anyone interested in an adrenaline-pumping, thrill-ride of a movie. This movie shouldn't work. But it does. And how.

Review: It is behond me why i waited to see this movie so long. I didnt see it till a month before it was going to be released on DVD. And now i kick myself for not seeing it earlier. Must pay attention to the first half of the movie to understand what the matrix is. But after that, the action begins and its a non-stop, heart throbing, guns galor kinda movie. Five Stars all the way baby!
