Summary: A "MASTERPIECE" FOR OUR "TIME"
Review: I believe that a great movie is great because the creative forces that produce the movie somehow connect with an aspect of life or the "truth" that is currently not fully revealed in human consciousness, yet exists in the human sub-conscious. I further believe that "THE MATRIX" is a vehicle that has the power to awaken us to a new awareness of reality. I beleive that we are pure consciousness, perceiving our Self to be that which we perceive in a virtual world we created long ago. THE MATRIX gives us the rare opportunity to reach this awareness, to experience the "true human condition", and THEN, it further creates the possibility for "true FREEDOM". My opinion is THE MATRIX is a masterpiece, as a movie, as a science-fiction / special effects movie, and as a bridge to the awareness that is only now emerging in human consciousness. If you haven't seen THE MARTIX, don't miss it.

Review: If you are the common dissatisfied movie goer who is on an endless trek for the classic action movie, look no further. With unbelivable special effects and a story that keeps you drawn to your seats, The Matrix is by far the most well rounded action movie of the decade. With suprisingly good acting by Keanu Reeves, and a great suporting cast of popular hollywood stars, it is a flick for the savy individual in need of an exhilirating rush. With everything from suspense to drama to action, The Matrix is the movie to beat for the, well......Teen Choice Awards.

Summary: The best science fiction movie I have ever seen
Review: ok, I admit at first when my brother asked me to see it I refused. I wasn't a big sci-fi fan. The story line seemed confusing and the plot didn't sound all that great. But one day I was bored so we went to see it. It was great. I saw 2 more times after that, and I will by the video. This movie was a classic from opening day, and it will always be.

Summary: Not original... but... Mmmmmm, cinematography
Review: From the start, the film plunges you into the dark, comic-book-ish, frightening setting that "The Matrix" is set in. The movie takes a lot of time to explain the plot and concepts presented in this film, so you have no excuse to complain about how confusing this film was. Some of you will realize that "The Matrix" borrows a lot of concepts from the 1998 film, "Dark City". Both films are about an inhuman race keeping a population of humans in a fake, virtual world, until one man learns the truth and fights back.The story & concepts in this film are not very original, but the film makes up for this by having the best action cinematography ever seen in a motion picture. Time will be slowed to the point where you can see bullets travelling across the screen as the camera flawlessly spins in circles around the set. In other words, the action scenes in this film are super-stylized, much like a Japanese-animated film. The orchestral score maintains the moody-ness of the film and keeps the audience intrested. This film will keep you intrested and entertained from start to finish.

Summary: Revoltionary views of thought, technology, and reality
Review: If you are reading this waiting breathelessly for the release of this movie in November then you have already seen it two or more times. There is nothing that I can say that will make you want this movie more. I am not a Reeves fan, but his chemisty with Fishburne and Moss is remarkable. The selling point though will be the special effects, for which I initially saw the movie. The sheer concept though is revolutionary. Perhaps there never has been nor will be another,that will make you question the very air you breath

Summary: Surprised by the complexity and originality of the plot.
Review: I walked into the theater expecting to see the run of the mill let down put forth by Keanu Reeves; however, when the plot unfolded in all of its high-tech complexity, the movie proved to be more than just a Reeves spotlight. Its action and fast-paced sequencing kept me interested through the entire movie. Maybe Keanu will learn how to act one of these days.
