Summary: What is the MATRIX
Review: Matrix is hardly to miss. Using the words of one of the main film's character Laurence Fishburne(Morpheus) 'the matrix is everywhere, even here in this very room' So my oppinion about the matrix is that is one of the best films ever made because of its original plot which may be unbelievable but makes sense. So, the film is about a system kinda VR that all human beings are not born but grown in it. there are some persons called the Agents who runs the whole thing and there are the good guys who are not inside the program and want to destroy it, but they can't. that is because they need someone more powerfull that theirselves. that man is called neo (keanu reeves) and is the chosen one for the job.

Summary: I Don't Get It
Review: This is apparantly a very well liked film according to the reviews on Amazon. I guess I just didn't get it. The horrible acting, lame story line, and rather mundane special effects make this flick an all out bore. Keanu Reeves is by far the worst actor in film history. I guess the writers thought that adding biblical references would lend credibility to the plot. Wrong, it just adds to the sillyness and disjointed flow. I know that I am in the minority giving this film one star, but if I can encourage one person to save two hours of their life I would be happy. Don't even rent, let alone buy, this one.

Review: Sure, there were some good things about The Matrix. The special effects were very well done, the acting was good. And it has some good martial arts scenes. But the plot has some major flaws - things that just don't make any sense at all. (I won't spell them out here, not to ruin the plot.) I felt my intelligence a little insulted at two points in the movie, like I wasn't supposed to notice major plot elements that were just nonsensical. Besides that, the story was not very original; the basic (paranoid brain-in-a-vat) idea has been done before. Not a bad rental, but I sure wouldn't buy it.

Review: Fantastic movie with superb special effects. Keanu Reeves plays an intelligent, wide-eyed, computer geek/lad destined to save the world with an air of Zen-like calm and quietly spoken power. The plot is incredible, drawing you into it until you have no choice but to keep watching. Ever hear the phrase about the abyss looking into you? This movie fits it to a 'T'. You'll finish the movie with many more 'what if's' than you had when you turned it on. Terrific special effects, great lines, and bad guys whom you love to hate. GREAT!

Summary: Entertaining beyond the movie
Review: This is a DVD which makes great use of the formats strengths. There are numerous bonus features, including the 'follow the white rabbit' feature, which lets you see the making of a scene when the scene plays in the movie. Also has voice overs by cast & crew and the music composer. Top it all off with a very cool movie and you get a heck of a good disc. Worth much more than the asking price.
