Review: this movie is great it has everything you need, it has action drama and suspense. NO other film has what it has and that is originality. This film is a must have for all. I hope they make a secound part to this fil it needs it.

Summary: The Best Film of 1999!
Review: Perhaps I am biased. I have, after all, seen the film seven times to date, and plan to see it many more. But this is not your typical commandos-who-kill action flick. It mixes *unbelievable* special effects--so smooth that you don't even notice them at first--with a mind-tingling plot that keeps you musing for weeks. In addition, you are presented with marvelous acting from Moss, Weaving, Fishburne and the rest of the supporting cast. The violence (which is considerable; hence the R rating) remains mercifully non-gory, being composed cheifly of Kung Fu and guns ("lots of guns," to quote the main character). It is hard to give a synopsis of this movie without spoiling too much of the plot; however, as one reviewer has commented, viewers "get their intellects tickled." With brilliant, eye-catching cinematography throughout, beautifully stylized presentation, and more metaphors and symbolism than one can keep track of, I can't rate this film as anything but an emphatic 10.

Review: IF YOU LIKE SPECAIL EFFECTS THIS IT THE MOVIE FOR YOU. IF YOU LIKE AND NEED SUBSTANCE THIS MOVIE FALLS SHORT. THE MATRIX WAS INTREASTING THE FIRST FIVE MINS, THEN COMES THE HOLE PURPOSE OF ANY MOVIE WHY? BECAUSE OF IT'S CONTENTS THE MOVIE HAD TO BE EXPLAINED IN DEPT WHICH TOOK ALOT AWAY FROM THE ACTUAL MOVIE. I GUESS IF YOU A KID YOU NEEDED THE INDEPT REPORT. FOR ADULTS YOU WOULD FELL AS IF THEIR EXPLAINING THINGS THAT THEY DIDNT NEED TO. THINGS THAT YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF AND DIDNT NEED TO HAVE IT POINTED OUT TO YOU. IF IT WASNT FOR THAT SPECIAL EFFECTS I WOULD HAVE TO SELL MY COPY. ITS THAT MOVIE THAT IF YOU DO WATCH IT AGAIN YOU WOULD FORWARD TO THE GOOD PARTS.

Summary: Please, let us reflect on its greatness
Review: Now i've read most of the comments left by other patrons, to those who would call it meaningless "eye-candy", your wrong. To those who would say that its a rip off of Total Recall or Blade Runner, your wrong. It is a whole original, in fact the most original plot to be put out by a major picture studio in years. The cinematography in this film is exceptional, Lawrence Fishborne's voice is more striking than that of Darth Vadar, to those who say its confusing, go back to school. As for myself i have had the DVD for a good week and i am constantly getting requests to see it again and again. I do believe that at this moment it is my favorite movie, up there with films such as Star Wars and 2001&2010 (though the books ARE better, sorry Stanely) Please if you haven't seen it buy it, steal it, do what ever you need to do to see this movie. Oh yeah and make sure to turn the lights way down and the volume way up, its better that way.

Review: Well, the only good thing of this Movie are the Special Effects. Indeed the story is boring. Dark City is and stays the best Sci-Fi movie for now. Okay it doesn't have those greats special effects of Matrix but at least the story is great and you won't look at your watch while watching it.

Review: This is one of the best sci-fi/action films of recent times. Those of us who are huge fans of George Lucas, do not want to betray our loyalties to him and say that there just may be a movie with bigger and better special effects that Star Wars. This movie is hear and it cannot be ignored. It is the matrix. Keanu Reeves is the savior of the human race against the evils of artificial intelligence. Lawrence Fishburne is the man behind bringing Reeves to the realization that he is the "one". The outstanding performances of all those cast in the film is another plus. Very much like Star Wars, all of the cast members are for the most part little known and so talented. Every minute of this film is unbelievable.

Review: This movie could have been so much more if only the writers used their brains. There is no such thing as perpetual energy. It takes more energy to keep humans alive than you could get out. Even if you bought into that, the "virtual world" which allows limitless possibilities ends up in a gun fight. How brainless.
