Summary: Sci-fi/action with effects that define the new millennium
Review: The MATRIX creates surrealistic view of humanity verses technology with technology winning out -- or so it seems. The story tells of humans being slaves to living machines, but kept in a virtual world to prevent any uprising. Ironically, to tell the story -- new technology makes it happen. But, it was the genius of the Wachowski brothers, their insight of what to present, the extra effort of the cast and crew that make the unreal -- real, the impossible -- possible. Once again, the human spirit endures.

Summary: Finally movie production is catching up with technology!!
Review: Finally a DVD worth giving a "Referance" title to. Both the video and audio transfer to DVD is impecable!! It may not have been the greatest movie as far as plot goes, but how many Theaterphiles actually see a movie for its plot. This movie is well worth the purchase if you own a QUALITY AC-3 Home Theater, otherwise don't bother because you will NOT be able to get the full effect!!!!

Summary: QUITE GOOD
Review: I THINK IT IS A GOOD MOVI

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Verry entertaining.
Review: The film is set in the future, aproximatly 3000 AD. The world as we know it is "normal 2000AD" -known as the Matrix- but this is an illusion as the humans are bread as batteries for machines. There are renegade humans, intent on freeing the other humans from the Matrix. The story centres on a man recently freed from the matrix, destined to destroy it. Other than that watch it and find out for your self.

Summary: Not quite the classic they would have you believe
Review: Superb special effects. Intelligent plot-let down by sledghammer dialogue. Average to poor acting. Superb photography and camera work. The Matrix isn't quite the classic I had been lead to believe, it really is a mixed effort. Yet, compared to George Lucas' latest travesty/merchandising campain, it really is a good effort. Worst point: Casting of actor who played Damien in that moronic aussie soap Home & Away. He was bad in that and he's even worse in this.

Summary: Best movie I've seen in years...
Review: If this is the direction of movies in the 21st century - hit me again. Love it! The DVD is jam-packed with awesome extras.

Summary: DVD Will Not Work With Most PC DVD Players
Review: DO NOT BUY THIS DVD. It will not work with most PC DVD Players. This is probably why Amazon has marked it down so low, since they say there are no returns on opened DVD's.

Summary: Major high energy packed into one small movie: Amazing!
Review: Once I saw the previews it was set in stone that I see this movie! The special are amazing, the storyline is semi original but it gets pulled off with extreme precision! The fight sequences are phenominal and are the best HK fight scenes America has ever had. Heck it rivals that of Chackie Chan and Jet Li! You will immediately fall in love with the slow-mo battles ( they are superfast in the movie's time continuence). If you loved this check out any John Woo movie, especially the Killer and Hard Boiled ( which you can get in a double package right here at amazon.com.) I just have one question? Why are you reading this and not watching the Matrix? Easily one if the best movies of '99.

Summary: Am I really typing this review or is this the Matrix?
Review: The machines finally take over and turn us into energizer bunnies...."Follow the White rabbit". They keep us slaves and use our cerebral electrical energy to keep their machine brains going. But thank God there's a group who escape the machine control and fight back. The one human man that can destroy the machine rule dies. But, fear not, the rumor has it that he will be reborn and once and for destroy the machines. This movie plays on two levels...reality and what appears to be reality. The Matrix is a reality projected?, created?,by the machines. If you like video games you'll like this movie. You'll have to watch it twice. The first time your heart and mind are moving so fast to keep up with the movie, you have to watch a second time to pickup on all the plot details and neat special effects you missed. Enjoy! Rent it first.
