Summary: This is great allegory
Review: The Matrix is a great sci-fi film because of the allegory involved. The human race is under a spell and must be woken up. Because reality is too hard to face we have to numb our pain with illusion. This virtual reality scenario is already becoming a reality technologically, with internet addicts in addition to TV addicts. We are living vicariously through all this media, and the ultimate end would be The Matrix. The rebels among us must stop this from coming to pass. This type of film marks a new wave of Sci-fi, and it's rare in that it's a major film that provokes thought, rather then telling you what to think.

Review: Every time I watch the DVD of the matrix i get that feeling of adrenaline. I'm in tenth grade and each tim Neo blows away a guard I imagine it's football player or my stupid physics teacher. This movie rocks the action genre like no other!

Review: I loved the movie I thought it had a great plot and awsome effects,the acting was good and the fights were great i love the old Kung-Fu style they used, and from the extras on the cd you could tell they had to do quite a bit of training for that stuff, all in all its a wonderfull 2 hour movie and has very informative and educateing bonus features.

Review: This would have been a great movie if I hadn't already seen it before. What I mean is that all the key elements were borrowed from other films, to wit:They Live - alternate reality imposed by evil non-humans Terminator 2 - war of humans vs. artificial intelligence Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Thing, etc. - use humans for raw material Little Buddha - Keanu Reeves is the chosen one Take all those and squish them together, and you have The Matrix. Nice special effects, though.

Review: A film that keeps your heart beating. If you are a guy your heart beats for Trinity... if you are a girl, your heart beats for Neo.... if you are a regular viewer, your heart beats for all of them. This film introduces a new type of special effects and they sure give you an adrenalin bust.
