Summary: AWESOME! DON'T MISS IT!
Review: I watched this film twice and loved it! It was thought-provoking, tantalizing, invigorating and exciting. The Matrix requires the viewer to actually THINK and its story is deliciously deep and twisting, its concept both frightening and infuriating. I don't like films that depend on special effects. I also don't like films that advertise them and execute them poorly. The Matrix used special effects about as well as I have ever seen in any film. Not overdone, and when used, executed to absolute perfection. The use of slow-motion combined with comic-book style action was the beyond anything I have ever seen--simply mind-blowing! As for nuts and bolts, this film used clever angles and interesting perspectives, focusing in on otherwise mundane situations (falling bullets for instance) to suddenly make them thrilling. The sound effects and music were perfect, not blowing out your eardrums, enhancing--not taking away from--the pace of the story, and adding to the overall enjoyment of the film. The cast was excellent. Nobody was overblown, nobody "stole" the show to take attention away from the others; the film took time to let us get to know the characters, both the good and bad. As you can see, I loved this film. I would not give it a four star rating because it did have some flaws that I felt hurt the story, although I happily forgave the few problems that I immediately noticed. However, I cannot be overly critical of a film that did such an otherwise astounding job from start to finish--but naturally, I wish it had been perfect!

Summary: only movie I've watched 3 times in one night and liked it
Review: I watched this the night it came out on DVD and I didn't know what to expect. everyone from my school had seen it and it was all they talked about. I was really looking forward to it. Extremely complex the first time through, especially if you miss a few of the key elements but it gets a little clearer the third of fourth time. Some of the most exciting fight scenes and the best special effects in a movie with such a complex and intriguing plot-line ever. Go see it . . . a few times.

Review: I found that the movie was very well made and it challenges many of our common beliefs. The only limitation that this movie has is our own imagination. The possibilities that are available, to each and every one that watches it, are endless. Our minds are set free to explore the endless expanse of our own thoughts. By watching this movie it becomes aparent that reality can be different to each person as they choose to see it and the mind is very powerful .

Review: Go buy another DVD because the original one does not work. Pay again. Help the matrix be built. It's just an action movie. As soon as it intends to be anything more, it crumbles away. The matrix is pre-digested visual philosophy for teenagers. Go sit at your home theater. If you can make it work, play your copy. Play it really loud. Keep living the dream. Keep feeding the system. You're bleeding money. Just a big lie. No real feelings. Medium = message. Form = medium. Matrix = entertainment = the very anesthetic illusion that it claims to unveil. "It made me wake up, it opened my ayes", yeah, yeah, yeah. This is no visionary sci-fi film. The stupidity of the "humans as an electricity source" theory pretext has already been pointed out, but here goes another major flaw: zero, nothing, not a word on genetics. And it could be happening now. It's not AI against humans but cognitively enhanced humans against regular ones. It's just a matter of time. And money, of course.

Review: The Matrx is the best movie ever made. The whole scenes about the guns and martial arts are the best. WB made a great job of making the movie from the beginning to the end. It deserves 5 stars straight out....maybe even 5 1/2 who knows? hehehehehe
