Summary: Modern version of an old story.
Review: This movie did not attract my attention when I first heard about it. It seemed to be just another one of those overdone sci-fi films. When I saw it I was amazed by its ability it take ancient philosophical ideas, like Plato's analogy of the cave and present them to a modern audience. There also seem to be many Christian themes creeping into the fray as well. This is a very cleverly written movie with some great filmwork to boot.

Summary: A Digital Treat for Home Theater System
Review: When I saw this movie in the theater, I was blown away - great story, tense action, super-cool villian (thank you Hugo Weaving!), and awesome sfx. I knew I had to have this on DVD. I wasn't disappointed. Running this disk through a DTS home theater system at a decent volume scared my neighbors. The fight sequence in the Federal Building alone made me wonder if the police might show up at my door. Great movie and best DVD for "wowing" your friends with those old VCRs!

Review: Martix was phat and suprisingly tangible. Loved the complications and concepts of life concieved by this movie. Sweet and recommended for any kind of audience. Beyond science fiction. Can't explain the great effect either.

Review: I would have to say that this movie points out some of the little "unknowns" that we all wonder and fantasize about. A great thriller with awesome special effects. A deffinate "buy-it-now" kind of movie!

Summary: Fantastic and a MUST for every homosapiens.
Review: Personally, this is the best movie I have ever seen in years. The screenplay is above average, the effects, idea and everything are beyond words. Comparably with Star Wars, Phantom Menace, I would take on this movie anytime. Just some simple arithmetic, how many critical scenes does Star Wars have and how many does The Matrix has. Ratio? 1:3, 1:4? I would say 1:4. Although the effects on Star Wars are more complicated than Matrix, a lot of the efffects are kinda extra, doesn't serve it's purpose. Don't get me wrong here, Star Wars is good, compare to a whole lot of movies, it is just that the grossing on the Matrix kinda disappoint me. That's all. It could have done better. Go Wachowski brothers!!! p/s: MOVIE OF THE YEAR.

Review: This is a smart, stylish, exciting movie. The best, deepest screenplay of the year, and the first time special effects haven't looked like special effects. Toss in some great actors and searing superhuman action, and you've got just about the best movie of the year.

Review: I wish there were ten stars availiable to give this action packed thriller! I don't really care for Keanu, but in this movie, it doesn't matter. I would have been great no matter who was in the cast. But on another note, the cast did an excellent job in this film. The effects alone are worth the your time. I cant wait to see the second one! I give this movie a ten!

Review: There's no denying the huge significance of this George Orwell-inspired movie. It is probably the best movie of 1999 (perhaps exceeded only by Star Wars). Of course, it will be one of the ultimate classics of the 90's. However, claiming that The Matrix is the best movie ever is a little farfetched. It is probably better than Rocky, A Clockwork Orange and Dances With Wolves. But is it better than Singin' In the Rain, It's A Wonderful Life and Gone With the Wind? That question is for you to answer. However, I personally believe that it is not. Nevertheless, I love the picture and plan to see it at least ten times within three years. Looking forward to part II and III...
