Summary: it's good... but come on! it's NOT all that!
Review: ok, ok... i admit it... it's a good movie. but all those of you out there who think that this is the best move ever... get your head out of the clouds! it has great action scenes, but that's about it! this movie is way, way, way too long and there aren't nearly as many action scenes as it would need to be a great movie. and let's face it... keanu reeves can't possibly carry a movie as its leading man. i think its an ok movie, but only if you are willing to put in the endless hours to watch it.

Summary: The Most Impressive Sci-Fi Movie
Review: The Matrix is NOT simply another action/adventure sci-fi movie with spectacular visual effects to come in and save it from it's shallow plot. Not in the least. The Matrix has a plot so complex that it even rivals some of the greatest science fiction novels of our century. The Matrix excels where most other sci-fi movies fail in bringing the philosophical aspects of science fiction to life combining one of the most intensly thought provoking plots with the best of effects to form a truly superb movie. It outrates every other sci-fi movie I've ever seen and occupies a place in my mind next to my favorite novels by Asimov, Heinlein, and Niven.

Review: Isn't it great when a movie filmed in your city (Insipid and characterless, my butt!)and starring one of your countrymen as a truly evil villian does so well? (insert smug grin here) Seriously, though, I love this movie, one of the best I've seen for a long time. Now I've got watch it again to find the anime referances the creators said were there.

Summary: I didn't want to watch this movie, but ....
Review: I'm not (normally!) a fan of action movies -- I can do without the shooting and that sort of thing. So I was *not* amused when my husband popped The Matrix into our VCR. I started to get up and go into the other room, but instead I got pulled right into the movie and couldn't stop watching it!I do enjoy sci fi movies (Star Trek, etc.), but I thought this movie would be a little wild for my tastes. Boy, was I ever wrong! I enjoyed the whole thing, beginning to end. I like that, even though the individual concepts were not new, they were put together in a whole new way and made into a movie that leaves you wondering, even several days later! Of course, after I complained so much when my husband "made" me watch it, there's no way I can admit to him that The Matrix has an *excellent* chance of being one of my all-time favorite movies! he he This movie is on my "Must See" list for any sci fi fan.

Summary: a sci fi classic, the down side is....
Review: that it looked like it was aimed towards the moronic youth of today with horrible "hip" music and pretty damn primitive dialog. the movie doesent make you think either, its not deep enough too, if the fact that we are all living in a computer program and used as duracell batteries provokes deep thought, i really feel sorry for you. this movie is a classic, holds up after many many many viewings, like any classic should. and i look forward to the sequels. so get this one, its waaaay better than star wars: episode 1.

Review: Ok, basicaly this movie rocked, well I didn't get one thing for the first 45 min of the movie, but after that it all clicked in place. I liked the scene where Reeves and Fishburn were fighting in the computer. I only wish that it would come out sooner on VHS

Summary: The Matrix is a must see movie!
Review: The Matrix is a very enchanting and intriging movie. The movie is excellent. It is about a man who is trying to find out who the matrix is. He eventually finds out he is the chosen one. He finds himself in a different world and gets to find out that he is to protect the world from machines. He faces many different challenges and he has to work out so he can defeat the people chasing him. He has very many things to do. Eventually he wins the game and finds a new lover. Now thats what i call a great movie and is almost like Odyssey. I think Keanu is a great actor and was very extrodinary in the Matrix. So I really think people should go see this very awesome movie that brought a lot of money to the people who produced it. well i just hope that people go see this very interesting movie.
