Review: I would just like to say that the matrix is one of the best movies i have ever seen, the DVD version is a amazing. The sound, the effects, the plot, the actors, everything was well done. If you've seen the movie, buy it. If you haven't seen the movie, where have you been?

Review: This film is absolutely amazing! The special effects are out of this world, the soundtrack just as good (dolby digital works a treat), the acting's not too bad and there's even a bit of occasional humour! There's an interesting message in there, its just a shame people are more likely to remember this film because of its amazing effects. A visual treat that really shows what dvd is all about!

Review: At a time when Hong Kong has forgotten what made their films great, Hollywood thought they'd try to remind them with The Matrix. Anyone who's seen Iceman Cometh, Dragon From Russia, Saviour of the Soul or countless other Hong Kong classics will be able to pick out scenes re-created in The Matrix. One of the kings of Hong Kong, Yuen Woo Ping, does a good job with the action and the effects are excellent. However, what the film lacks is the real core that made films like Saviour of the Soul great. The mixture of humour, action, suspense and romance simply doesn't click in The Matrix. Everyone is applauding Carrie Ann Moss's character, but Michelle Yeoh combined fighting ability and femininity far better in Royal Warriors or Project S. The Matrix is visually terrific, but as cold as ice.

Review: I think the real value of "The Matrix" is that anyone can find in it something for himself. Basically your thoughts are reflected in "The Matrix" upon yourself. That's all. You are the One. Face the wall and count your breath.

Review: This is a very strange movie.
Some people i've spoke to, after seeing this movie, something 'clicked'..they walked out of the cinema in awe, and looked at the world in a different way for weeks..the movie had a massive impact, on many levels.
Others, came out saying..hmm, it was an ok sci-fi movie, good FX/action etc.
If it 'clicked' with you, you know exactly what i'm talking about..but i really can't understand why this happened to some, and not others. Does anyone know what i'm talking about. Or am i insane?

Summary: Special effects, comedy, drama, unbelievable!
Review: Very simply put if you feel like you are in touch with "reality" you need to see this movie. It is the best special effects movie of all time...no...it is the best movie of all time. This movie should replace your old favorite sci-fi movie easily...even if your favorite movie is Star Wars. George Lucas beware the future of sci-fi is here and their name is Wachowski.

Review: I JUST HAPPEN TO THINK THAT KEANU REEVES IS A SEXY MAN AND THE LAURENCE FISHBURNE IS AN EXCELLENT ACTOR. THEY BOTH SET THAT MOVIE OFF THE HOOK WITH ALL THE FIGHTING SCENES. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS MOVIE AND ITS ONE THAT I CAN WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Summary: Matrix-Outstanding Dolby 5.1 and special FX
Review: Matrix DVD is a remarkable sci-fi action flick with outstanding special effects enhanced by Dolby Digital 5.1. However, unless you have a widescreen TV, your watching letterbox. I have not yet seen a 4:3 aspect version available. After spending $500 on a Sony Trinitron 27" Tube, I would like to see it fill up the screen.

Summary: This is the best film ever made
Review: This is simply the best film ever made. The plot is stunning, clever and mind-blowing. The special effects are out of this world.Anyone who gave this movie a bad review obviously needs a full-frontal lobotomy. It's not a simple action movie or sci-fi movie, and it does require a bit of thought by the viewer (which is why some people didn't understand it) This movie should appeal to Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure and martial-arts fans. I loved one of the other reviews (of VHS ver) where one guy said that "they could've found a stunt double that at-least looked like Keanu". If he'd watched The Making Of on the DVD then he would have realised that there were no stunt doubles ! This film just ROX !
