Summary: What is the Matrix?
Review: Think that the reality is a dream - this thought follows Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves). Thomas lives in a double life, at day he's a employee at a big computer company, at night he's the hacker Neo. A day Neo wakes up by someone who is contacing him via the computer. Right after that Neo gets arrested. Agent Smith looks at the young computer expert as a treath, and Neo gets even more confused. First when he meets Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), the picture becomes clearer. I love this movie becouse of the amazing special effects and the really good story. You just have to see this movie! I would recommend buying the movie on DVD that is if you got a DVD. Becouse there you can watch Interviews and documentary about the special effects. Very Best Regards Yngve Elde

Summary: Edge of the seat entertainment
Review: After seeing this movie and the short film on the making of same, I am happy to give the 5 star rating. The special effects, unusual treatment of the usual violence and premise of humans as losers in a war with AI makes this movie special. It is a cartoon storyboard come to life, literally, on the screen. The two young fellows who made it have got the creative stuff! Hope they can keep it up and bring more unusual movies to us.

Summary: DVD-ROM owners beware of bullying installation
Review: Those intending to play this disk on DVD-ROM should be aware that it will not play on your regular software but insists on installing PC-Friendly, which is actually a pretty lame player. It might insist on updating various drivers as well. To top it off, if you have the Creative Encore software, the picture won't play at the correct aspect ratio till you figure out how to swap into your regular player and change it. Altogether it took me over an hour to get the movie up and running properly, and it stuck me with software I don't want and don't like. Rude!

Summary: Suspense Never Stops
Review: This DVD is probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. The acting, script, and action sequences are wonderfully done. The soundtrack is one of the best heart-thumping albums I have ever heard. Also, this DVD is packed full of extras, including a twenty-five minute behind the scenes movie. All in all, I recommend this DVD to anyone and everyone who is a fan of action or science fiction movies.

Summary: Follow the white rabbit
Review: What can one say that hasn't already been said about this movie. See it with open eyes, or to have your eyes opened. It does not matter whether the story could happen, as some reviewers would have you believe. I don't want to give anything away for those who have not seen the Matrix. I will say, buy it, rent it, take it home... and if you have a good sound system, crank it up as loud as you dare. This is one of the most original movies ever. "The world as we know it has been pulled over our eyes to blind us from the truth." This movie will make you think! Excellent picture and sound quality. A must see!

Summary: This is a glorified video game.
Review: My low expectations for this film were not disappointed. It takes what could have been a truly compelling idea and predictably suffocates it in mediocre acting, ludicrous shootouts, and special effects overkill. As in so many other movies of its kind, thoughtful intelligence takes a back seat to theatrics and mass audience mentality-this is just so many empty visual calories. "Blade Runner", after all these years, still rules.

Summary: Simply Entertainment
Review: The Matrix is an excellent science fiction film, the operative word being fiction. For sheer entertainment this movie has it all, brilliantly conceived FX, shoot outs, martial arts etc.. Movies of this nature are here to entertain and nothing else. They aren't meant to stretch your mind, or its perception of the world. The character of Neo isn't made out to be a god or messiah in any way, simply he has the ability to bend the laws of an artificial computer generated world. Thus this makes him "the one". Get this movie simply because it is good entertainment, don't try analysing it to death. Excellent movie.
