Summary: thinking man's king fu
Review: A lot of fun. The inner working of computer code, far into the future, when programs are represented from within by humanoid characters, who in turn monitor the sleeping humans who live as well inside the simulation, as they sleep in reality. A group of humans attempt to break out and mayhem ensues. Plenty of analogies to real current day programming techniques, and when taken as a trilogy, a fair amount of pholosophy running quietly in the back ground. Also, the trilogy will have tons of surprises---this movie is actually quite intellectually impressive. this movie is just fun!!! I am planning on getting the trilogy when it comes out as a boxed set early 2004.

Review: A lot of people liked this movie because of its special effects but if you realy want to apperciate it you have to look deeper. It is an impowering movie that sucks you in and doen't let go untill the inapropriat ending where Neo flies. The special effects ar amazing but in 10 years people will look back and apperciate its story ,charecters and general experance more than its shooting and special fx.

Review: A lot of people these days are complaining that the movie industry is falling into a technological rut and that real movies have ceased to exist. I say that if the graphics and technology used in films has my jaw on the floor like this one did then who cares. This film was amazing. The end kind of stunk but I'm not much for the sappy stuff. I don't even like Keanu Reeves and I can watch this movie every day

Summary: Derivative but good
Review: A lot of the reviews of this very entertaining film mention the various sources it draws from: other films, comics, "cyberpunk" fiction (particularly that of William Gibson.) All this is true, but mostly on a superficial level. The real source of the foundation concept of "The Matrix" is the brilliant 1968 Sci-Fi novel "The Futurological Congress" by Stanislaw Lem. I'm not talking about some kind of coincidental parallel here. Read the book (one of the best SF stories ever written, by one of the most influential SF writers ever) and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Summary: Thrilling!
Review: A movie like this deserves a DVD that it got! The beginning will really make you shake, it's scary! I find the Sci-Fi premise very original, big kudos to the person who wrote it! I never saw the film in theater, it wasn't until I got the DVD as a present that I found out how much it blew me away! It's so unlike anything I've seen before. As for the DVD, first off there are the basics like widescreen anamorphic and 5.1 Dolby Digital to satisfy you, but there's more to it that can really blow you away! Movie: 5 stars DVD : 5 stars

Review: A movie should grab you at the beginning and take you on a roller coaster ride. It should have you saying, "Wow, what if this really happened?" And only once in a while does a movie like that coem along. Matrix is one of those movies. It is action-packed from the opening scene until the last frame. The DVD contains LOTS of extras. Review: A must see movie. Incredible is how I describe this move, the special effects are definitely dazzling and totally eye-candy. I have watched it several times and have never grown bored of it. The actors choice is very good, and the movie is awe-inspiring and a brilliant piece of work.
