Summary: Excellent SCI-FI Movie
Review: I thought this was an excellent movie. The story was unique and not overplayed like most movies today. The action sequences and special effects are unbelievable! I highly recommend this movie, there is not a single person I know that didn't love it. The only way you could give this movie a bad review is if you didn't understand it (or your one of them). Can't wait until the next one...

Summary: Typically outstanding 5.1 Dolby Digital.....Picture POOR!
Review: I too was anxious to get this DVD release. Very good story line with outstanding visual effects, so I pre-ordered and waited with much anticipation. From the very beginning, I was stunned at the poor quality transfer to DVD. Grainy darks, and washed out colors left me feeling cheated. The Dolby Digital 5.1 was exceptional and is of reference quality. Oh well, it's still a good buy....Bring on "The Mummy"... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Summary: Wow!! I can't get enough of this movie
Review: I took my girlfriend to see this movie and she loved it too. Usually when we're there, we see 1/2 of the flick and the rest...well you know lol. Anyway after watching 5 minutes of this masterpiece..I was captivated. I felt drawn in to the virtual world that matrix is. This movie had it all! I enjoyed every minute of it. My jaw droped to the floor after watching all the kool special effects. And the storyline...the best well written plot I've ever seen. Reality and science fiction at it's best. Like when Neo had Deja vu and that meant that there was a glitch in the Matrix. How kool and clever was that!! Little things like that made me question my own reality and existence. If 2 hours in a theater can make you do that...then by all means, buy this movie or risk missing out on some fine eye and mind candy. In my opinion the Matrix is possible.

Review: I usually don't like movies my teenagers like, but I must say this was one real neat flick! I'm a die hard action movie fan and this one fills all my needs in that department as well as the Sci-fi department. This one is worth it!

Summary: Sci-Fi Greatness!
Review: I usually don't like Scientific fiction movies. I usually hate them. I decided to give this a chance. That was the smartest move I could have made. This movie is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Here is a breif description:A computer hacker named Neo is wanted by Agents (people who are trying to rid the Matrix of humans). The matrix is a fake world, a computer program, we all live in it, and we are basically shielded from the truth. We are aslepe in the real world. Neo is also being pursued by people that have broken out of the matrix. These people were also computer hackers. They have already broken out of the matrix. They go back into the Matrix to get Neo. Throughout the movie, Neo eventually gains the burden of Morpheus dying or him dying, and it is up to Neo what happens. Morpheus is caught by agents, because one of the hackers who was supposedly a friend of Morpheus, backstabbed Morhpeus, and through this, Morpheus was caught, and tortured. Neo is then faced with, Save Morpheus or save himself???!!! That is a brief description without giving away anything important in the movie. The movie was a thrill ride throughout the whole thing. Though to some people this movie is slightly comfusing, just pay attention, which I am sure won't be hard, and you will enjoy this a lot. There is not much more to say. It is my favorite movie of all time. I can watch it over and over again, and still love it. I am sure you will be able to too. When I bought my DVD player, that was the first DVD I bought. It is an amazing movie, and I hugely hugely hugely recommend it. I couldn't recommend anything more than this movie! Get this now!

Summary: Even Keannu Reeves couldn't screw it up!
Review: I usually hate Keannu Reeves with a passion, and his acting is truly unpleasant in most of the movies I have seen him in (A Walk in the Clouds - can you say not only cheesy, but rotten cheesy?). In "The Matrix," though, his dumb "I don't know what is going on" acting WORKS. I have seen this movie in the theatres 5 times, and in these days of highly overpriced theatre prices, this says a lot. I love the chic (Trinity) and think that she makes up for Keannu's acting. The special effects are visually stunning, and so new and fresh that you want to watch them again and again to absorb them all. The concept itself is really well done, although I had to watch it a second time before I caught all of the nuances. WATCH THIS MOVIE - Catch it on the big screen if you can. One of the best sci-fi movies ever.

Summary: DVD pausing ruined the film
Review: I very muck liked the movie when I went to see at the theater. But when I bought it on DVD. The pausing through out the movie kind of made you mad. I would not buy it on DVD.

Summary: This movie is FUN!
Review: I view movies primarily to be entertained. The Matrix is packed with action and visual effects that had me gasping. There are four truly outstanding, memorable performances by the actors: Laurence Fishburne's Morpheus is erie and casts just the right tone of a man who has seen it all. Carrie-Anne Moss is so right for the part of Trinity. Hugo Weaving takes evil to a whole new level as the dead-pan Agent Smith. And Gloria Foster as the Oracle steals the scene with that little twinkle and the cookies. The details of the plot are only as complicated as they need to be to frame the story and allow for the action to take place. Because, in the end, THAT is what drives the movie forward. The viewer is invited along for the ride. And what a Fun House ride it is!! From the opening sequence where Trinity is trapped by local police, then runs (over rooftops), leaps through air for a flight-long tumble down steps and finally dashes into a phone booth about to be smashed by a huge trash truck, this viewer was left breathless and in awe of the power of this scene. Why is she being chased? What crime has she committed? Who are the guys in the dark glasses and black suits? After this, the action never really stops. Gradually, we are given answers to the Why, What and Who as Keanu Reeves is recruited into an organization dedicated to giving the earth back to it's human batteries. Sure, it's an outlandish plot, but I'm looking for entertainment in this movie, not great literature. It's a fun movie and one that I have watched more than once. So it was a good choice to add to our DVD collection.

Summary: Surprised by the complexity and originality of the plot.
Review: I walked into the theater expecting to see the run of the mill let down put forth by Keanu Reeves; however, when the plot unfolded in all of its high-tech complexity, the movie proved to be more than just a Reeves spotlight. Its action and fast-paced sequencing kept me interested through the entire movie. Maybe Keanu will learn how to act one of these days.

Summary: this is the Best SciFi movie to date
Review: I wanted to rewind the good scenes but the scenes following were great!! and I wanted to rewind the great scenes but this movie just blew me away... for the fifth time!!!! Not too many movies are great the 5th time but this one gripped me so hard I could not even push the buttons on my remote so I had to watch it again and again to catch my favorite scenes. A MUST buy!!! The Wachowski brothers are genius in their work.
