Review: I think I have discussed this at length elsewhere, but I think this is an ideal forum for mentioning that I have never so far watched the Matrix without falling asleep. This is surprising for me, because I've always been a fan of science fiction (until I got married), and in principle, this should have been absolutely riveting. However, there are very compelling reasons why this should have happened. Firstly, there may have been some after effects of the wrestling sessions I was having at the local gym just before I saw each screening - and secondly, there may have been secret subliminal messages transmitted during the film. I'm still checking my body for unexpected metallic objects/implants. Also for cuts, bruises, and sprains from the wrestling. Any comments or offers?

Review: I think it was a good movie because it shows another point of life that computers are in control not the other way around.
It made me think about stuff I never thought about before. What if we create a computer that is smarter then us? The world could come to an end or we could become slaves to our creations. It was a good movie and I'm going to see the second.

Summary: This Movie Is Way OVERRATED!
Review: I think my title made it clear that i think this movie is way overrated. It was not worth my money. I bought it expecting that it would be one of the best movies ever. The visuals are really good, great actually, but you cannot base a movie on good special effects. You need a good story. Everyone is talking about how mind-blowing all the concepts are. Well I have news for them, it is a movie that pretty much shows what paranoid people think about all the time. It just plain out did NOT impress me. The thing that ticked me off the most was that all the people who saw it said that the gun fight in the lobby was the best part of the movie, and the best scene of any. I was really disappointed with that part. All my friends said that pillars were falling down and that it was intense. First off I will say that no pillars fell down. Only one pillar looked like it got hit by tons of bullets. That scene was far from intense, because more than half of it was in slow motion. Excuse me, but slow motion in an action part of an ACTION movie doesn't really work. The only thing that was cool was when he dodged the bullets on the roof in slow motion. I will end by saying this, if you want a great action movie i will recommend a few, DIE HARD movies, and James Bond movies. The Matrix just did not live up to my expectations and i am glad i expressed this with you the reader. If you do want to see it, RENT IT FIRST PLEASE. Do not make the mistake of buying it first.

Summary: What to read to understand this movie
Review: I think that many watchers would understand this movie better if they previously read Carlos Castaneda's books. The whole theory of people being energy for other beings and the fact that this world is simply a prop, draws heavily from Castaneda's works. Whoever really liked this movie might give Carlos a try.I enjoyed the movie- great entertainment.

Summary: One of the best DVD's you can own
Review: I think that most people that don't like this movie just didn't get it. The thought that there is some other force guiding our lives and actions - a dream within a dream - is a common story theme but in The Matrix, the Wachowski Bro's really take this concept to a new level. Whether you liked the movie, understood it, or not, its still worth noting that this is one of the best examples of DVD technology to date. Not only is the film transferred superbly in both widescreen video and 5.1 audio, the extra features are nothing short of astounding! From several behind the scenes videos, to multiple full-length audio commentaries, even pc-dvd-rom features, the disc is innovatively designed to entertain far beyond the running time of the standard film. This is a must-have for any home theater enthusiast.

Review: I think that the effects in the Matrix are the best that I've seen in any film and the concept of the Agents creating a world to live in so that the real world (a barren, ruined World) is hidden and the humans think that everything is ok. The best bit of the whole film is when Trinity and Neo go to the Agent's Headquarters to rescue Morpheus, just having made a visit to Guns 'R us.
