Review: I never seen in my whole life, so many visual effects and so many shooting. If you enjoy action and magic, you'd love the movie. Full of movement. This is Keanu's best action movie. I highly recommended ,see it you won't regret it.

Summary: the movie is about the story
Review: I noticed that many of the other reviewers were fixated on the special effects and all sorts of other alphabet soup. Special effects are not what these movies are about. These movies are about the story, the questions, the implications, and the philosophy. The special effects only aid in the visualization of neo's abilities and of the powers held by everyone who realizes them. If you think that The Matrix is about special effects then I suggest that you watch it a few more times and maybe then you will understand it. You can never watch The Matrix too many times.

Review: i only have to say this is the one of the best movie of all time,you can see this movie more than 20 time and you still want to see more again,the first time i see this movie in the theater i have to stay in the theater and see the movie 3 time in the same day,this is much better of the star war movie.

Summary: There is no spoon.
Review: I originally rented The Matrix to "get even" for having to endure my spouse's previous choice of a "chick flick." She wasn't amused with the choice, but agreed to sit through it and ultimately said it "wasn't bad," which is about as positive as she would get for this genre.Short summary: Excellent special effects and great supporting characters. The Wachowski brothers do an excellent job of creating the environment and there is a lot of obvious effort made in maintaining the atmosphere. (To wit: Swallowing the pill, slimy rebirth) The DVD version has some wonderful behind-the-scenes footage. The explanation of "bullet time" and how the effects were done added to my enjoyment and helped me appreciate how much effort and training was involved by the actors. The story boards and the "Follow the White Rabbit" program worked really well. When I initially saw the movie, I felt there was a strong John Woo influence, confirmed in the interview with the Wachowski brothers confirmed it. The supporting characters Agent Smith (masterfully played by Hugo Weaving) and The Oracle (Gloria Foster) were, by far, the most interesting in the movie. After multiple viewings, I have special appreciation for the depth which Agent Smith is played and how he develops the seething rage at the world he's trapped in. The movie is excellent entertainment, and the DVD is an incredible example of what can be done with media. "There is no spoon."

Review: I OWN ABOUT 30 DVD'S, BUT WHEN MY FRIENDS COME OVER THE ONLY REQUEST I EVER SEEM TO GET IS MATRIX. TURN UP THE SURROUND SOUND, SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS AND LET THE BASS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS BLOW YOU AWAY. THIS ONE IS A MUST FOR YOUR COLLECTION.

THIS WAS FULL OF ACTION, DRAMA, AND SPECIAL EFFECTS THAT WERE ORGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THIS FILM..AFTER VIEWING THE BEHIND THE SCENES CLIPS AND THE DOCUMENTARIES, I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND THE GOAL AND THE OBJECTIVE OF THE FILM, WHICH WAS DEFINED REALLY WELL THROUGHOUT THE PRODUCTION OF THE FILM..THE ACTING WAS EXCELLENT AND THE PORTRAYAL ITSELF, WAS BREATHTAKING!

Summary: Great movie to teens who love action/violence movies.
Review: I personally like "The Matrix" for the updated movie technology used. The plot of a group of people trying to save the human race from liers and one big lie, "The Matrix" is very intreging to me. Plus the little bit of love added in for the classic apeal is very captivating to a teens eyes.
