Review: I HAVE RENTED THE MATRIX ON VHS SEVERAL TIMES AND FINALLY BOUGHT A DVD PLAYER AND BOUGHT THE MATRIX DVD. I WAS HOWEVER DISAPPOINTED THAT IT ONLY CAME IN THE WIDE SCREEN FORMAT. NOT EVERYBODY CAN AFFORD A WIDESCREEN TV. I HAVE A 50" BIG SCREEN SO IT WAS TOLLERABLE. ABOUT TEN MINUTES INTO THE MOVIE YOU FORGET THE BLACK BARS ARE THERE, BUT YOU STILL ARE FOCUSED ON THEM IN HOPES THAT THEY WILL DISAPPEAR.

Summary: Awesome movie
Review: I have seen many reviews on 'The Matrix' that don't discuss what makes it such a kick-ass movie. I don't know if it is because people are too ignorant to see past the kung-fu or it is really that hard to grasp.'The Matrix' is NOT a remake of any other movie (see some review below) and it is NOT an easy movie to watch and grasp. I believe that this is an underground movie, that appeals to the masses due to the action, because unless you really sit down and turn on the subtitles, you miss what makes 'The Matrix' so awesome. People have said to me before that the first hour sucks because there isn't much action but in all truth, it is the first hour that contains the philosophical elements, biblical allusions, and backgorunds that leave you totally awestruck. I have also seen reviews that say the acting sucked, which is total bull, because many have played their best roles to date in this movie. All in all, please don't watch this movie unless you want a deep, thought-provoking movie, because if you sit down to see the action, you miss the parts of the movie that took the most work and thought. If you watch it with an open mind, you will become transfixed like I was in the thought that went into the screenplay and cinematics. Once you understand what i am talking about, the movie will make sense, and so will the fact that the Wachowski brothers have created a masterpiece that should rank in the top ten in our movie libraries for a long time. Don't forget to listen to the commentaries, watch the extras, 'take the red pills,' and follow the White Rabbit. "I can only show you the door, you must open it for yourself."

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR
Review: I have seen this filn two times and I'am waiting to buy it in VHS. Is one of my favorite movies I ever seen with Star Wars. The effects, the fights, the characters, all, it's perfect. The story is exellent. The only thing I can tell you: BUY IT!

Review: I have seen this movie 5 times, it is so fabulous. Keanu is awesome, Neo and Trinity are great characters. I still have to wonder if I am actually living my life, or if one day someone is going to wake me up and take me out of my pod.

Summary: Easily better than that "other" Sci Fi movie
Review: I have seen this movie almost as many times as I've watched the original Star Wars, already. I'm 28 years old, grew up with Star Wars this, Star Wars that, lived and breathed wanting to be Jedi. Then this movie came along, fulfilling any possible cracks not already taken by other factors of life. It consumed me, as it has countless other individuals over the several months of it's release. I've never seen a movie like it, and unfortunately, the next probably won't hold the same mystique. Sequels never do. However, I'll hold my judgement until then. This movie has more to it than just "wooden acting". If you think about the bad guy, he was over-dramatic because he was simply a computer program. He was designed to be the way he was. If you can't see the movie for what it is, you probably should stick to traditional Sci Fi. ie, Star Wars. Come on, you can't tell me that Neo is more wooden than Jar Jar.

Review: I have seen this movie at least 6 times in the movie theatre. Absolutely the best movie I have ever seen! Think about the originality around the story, and the all around in-your-face explosive special effects. Keanu and Lawrence were absolutely spectacular in this movie. Carrie Anne-Moss(Trinity)definately got alot of viewers attention by making her true debut appearance.(Can you say Cha-Ching!) This is one of those movies that you cannot see just once and that makes you think....What if? On a sad note,I bought a DVD player especially for this movie , and the Matrix did not play on my player. Warner Bros. should have made sure this would not have happened considering this might be the biggest selling DVD so far. 10 for the movie! 0 for Warner Bros. sloppy actions.

Review: I have seen this movie over four times and I absolutely think it is one of the best movies ever made. Nothing compares to it. The special effects, sounds, and story are amazing. I am also a HUGE anime freak, so the anime-inspired fighting rocks. This is the BEST sci-fi movie ever made.

Review: I have seen this movie over ten times and I still enjoy it. I find that the action and the alternate reality thing going on keeps me hooked onto the movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Review: I have seen this movie tons of times in the theater, and it just seems to get better and better! The Matrix also boasts the best fight scenes ever! This is really a must have in any format! (but especially DVD)
