Summary: Wait a minute!!
Review: Don't buy this video yet! I saw Matrix several times in the theater and loved it but...IT IS NOT THE SAME ON VHS!! Even with a good TV and Dolby surround, much of the power and intensity of the movie is lost on the small (not letterboxed) screen. Check this out at your local $1 theater or buy the DVD.

Summary: The best SCFI ever - I don't think so!
Review: Don't get me wrong, I like The Matrix. I just beleive it's been highly overated. Keanu is as wooden as ever, the plot is super thin and it's all too ultra sleek to be totally involing. But it's great entertainment - just very forgetable.

Summary: Sit back and think for a second
Review: Don't get me wrong, Matrix is one of the best sci-fi movie in the 90's. The special effects, story, the plot and the producers, directors etc. (I could go on)are brilliant. But wait a minute, critisicing a film should have its balance of opinions, and in this case, Matrix is not all a yee-pee-do-dah or a thumb-breaking, hand clapping, and streaking out the cinema praising in the rain. Come on, Matrix had a brilliant script with millions of dollars to behind it a$$, and they could not pick the right sort actors and actress' for the film. I have nothing against Keanu Reeves, norr the director, the stunt co-ordinator or even his acting school teacher. Keanu did was not at all convincing, thus,I really think that he did not fit role as the 'Chosen One'. There are two reasons, 1)he did not have that baby innocent face which would eventually turn a killing machine, and then turn again into a angelic hero in which we should all bow and make way for the sultan ( if they researhed on Michael Jackson last album. maybe yes). To be continued.........

Summary: A thinking movie disguised as an action flick
Review: Don't let the fight scenes fool you. They were included only to get the film approved by narrow minded, sequel-oriented, film executives. This movie makes you think about the reality of our own existence as well as the veracity of our government officials. Don't take the blue pill, take the red one and learn about how the Matrix has YOU!

Summary: braver than You think
Review: Don't let Yourself get fooled by the 'special effects'. They are just a pretence in order to get the kids to see this movie. This movie is about the phony world we live in and one man's attempt to break into reality. It belongs to the bravest productions made in recent years along with 'They Live' by John Carpenter and 'Wag the Dog' by Barry Levinson. A weak point is the use of 'artificial intelligence' being the 'bad guy'. Replace that with 'technocrats' and You will not be disturbed by it. Our world is phony, You better believe it!

Summary: Don't enter in the cyber marketing movie
Review: Don't waste your money for a movie like this one. This movie was made for teenagers with anti-social messages like : don't trust the police, your parents, your teachers etc... The gratuitous violence in the movie intend to attract youth people with a message of contestation. In fact, the movie is a real product targeted for the mass market.

Summary: sci-fi? Look no further
Review: Dune, 2001, Clockwork orange. Sci-Fi classics... Make room for another one- the Matrix.

Summary: Action packed Great story
Review: DVD's like this one need to be available in full screen format not just wide screen. The wide screen format is not for everyone.I like the DVD quality but would like it without the black boarders.

Review: errrr, yes. The Matrix. Lampshade hatstand and a koala gave jug now headlice. My plastic brontosaurous has lost his rubber mallet. Wibble mouse mat and window teeth are my favourite afternoon banana shaped chair. There, a review that made as much sense as the film.
