Review: When I went into the theater to watch it, I thought it was going to be another average action movie with explosions up the wazoo. Instead of explosions for me to gawk at, it was all the action sequences. The slow motion parts were incredible, especially with the bullets and flying pieces. My mouth was open for most of the movie not believing what I was seeing. The plot was mind-boggling and really interesting. Everybody in my family loved it, even my little sister and my mother! The Matrix is the best movie ever.

Summary: Unbelievably entertaining
Review: When I went to go see this at the theater I expected it to be a very cool movie. I left the theater thinking wow what a fantstic sci-fi thiller. "The Matrix" fulfilled my expectations about it and more. It has it all, mind-blowing special effects, some romance between Neo and Trinity, an awesome villian named Agent Smith, great plot, killer soundtrack and the list goes on and on. Fishburne was excellent in his role as Morpheas and the movie had very memorable parts like where Neo and Trinity take out all the cops and military guys, the helicopter scene, the kung-fu fighting between both Neo and Morpheas (In the middle or so of the Movie) and Neo and Agent Smith (Around the end or so). The story carries out at a steady rate which pretty much keeps it from ever getting boring and has a spectacular ending. I don't really expect everyone to like this movie but I do recommend it for checking out and renting if you havn't seen it yet. I can't wait for the other sequals although I don't really expect them to be as good as the first Matrix film. Peace to all.

Review: When I went to see this film, I thought it would be bogus and cheesy.. come on, it has Keanu Reeves in it! But I was so totally blown away! It made me think, especially since I live in a world surrounded by compters. Did you ever think that was possible? I believe in the matrix.

Review: When it comes to sci-fi, nothing beats The Matrix. It breaks new ground. It is not only a masterpiece with its striking visual effects and well choreographed action scenes, but it also is one of the few movies that forces the viewer to think. This unique movie will be remembered for years to come. If you don't have the DVD yet, PICK IT UP.

Summary: A very original movie
Review: When most movies are formulaic, this one had an original plot, great special effects that worked well to progress the story, and good music to boot. Only 1-2 slow scenes for me to deal with, but I have a short attention span. I definitely can't wait for the sequels. You'll barely notice that Keanu Reeves isn't a good actor.

Review: When movie historians look back on "The Matrix," it will rightfully take its place alongside ground-breaking science fiction juggernauts like Star Wars, 2001 and Planet of the Apes. "The Matrix" redefined action movie cinemaphotography and sound, setting new standards by which all others will be judged. Many will copy "The Matrix," but it will never be duplicated. The cast is compelling, the direction revolutionary and the story thought-provoking and refreshingly free off cliches. Musically, the movie is just as dynamic, producing an original score and soundtrack that blend perfectly with the visual aspects of the film. Somehow, this movie becomes more intriguing each time you watch it. Reeves was tailor-made for the part and Fishburne is wonderfully understated. Moss is beautiful and, well, a bit nasty. There's only one problem ... where do you go from here? Mind-blowing! Simply mind-blowing!

Summary: The movie that redefined the action-genre.
Review: When previews for The Matrix hit the movies, people were probably confused as well as excited. Me, I was more confused then excited. But, I put my differences aside and I fell for the "what is the matrix?" ploy and then I was just blown away. This movie was one of the few that I have seen that can balance science fiction, comics, hong kong action and anime films all at once. You weren't sure what you were watching at first, but you didn't care. It grabbed you and held you as you went deeper into the world of the Matrix.
Yeah, it may not be the best movie I have ever seen, but it is high on the list. Even if Keanu is not an Oscar calibur performer, he is still enjoyable to watch as Neo. It's a great popcorn flick with a little philosophy and a lot of style.

Review: When something as technologically amazing as The Matrix comes out, what can you do except get on the ride and hang on? I saw this movie a while back, and it was incredible!When you enter this movie, you're introduced into The Matrix- slowly you begin to grasp the concept of what it really is. Nothing in this strange, superficial world is what it seems- especially when it come to keeping the peace. You have two choices: either learn to use the Matrix for your own side- or die. Everything about the movie was fairly good, though the real treat is the visual effects, as you've probably heard by now. The computer graphics are seamless and perfect- they really add flavor to the movie. Then you can get into the plot itself- a refreshing look into the paranoid. It's one of those things that really makes you look at life, even though it's probably in a weirded out, paranoid way. The acting is good, too, and Keanu Reeves does a great job with his role. The features included with the DVD are great, too, and I could just sit, watching the opening screen for a half an hour, at least. (It's really cool!) This movie is philosophical and deep at times, and then a few moments later it's full of good guys duking it out with creepy agent guys. It's sure to become a Sci-Fi classic!

Summary: Knocked me out of the cinema chair.........
Review: When the film first started, i though oh no, just another hacker movie....... But then it just exploded into an orgie of effects, thrilling scenes, sci-fi, and humor. I have now seen this film 5 times in our local cinema, and i will buy the DVD in december. I can`t really express my fellings after seeing this film in another way but saying: WOOOW Looking forward to the two other follow-ups!!!

Summary: An electrifying, spellbinding event!
Review: When the Matrix came into movie theatres country wide last year, millions of people knew they wanted to see it because of its science fiction look which appealed to them. I saw it opening night, and by the end, the whole crowed was cheering and talking excidely. Of course, critics are not ecpecially generous to this sort of fantasy movie, so who knew that a year later it would be up for three oscars including best visual effects? This movie lives up to its exciting preview, and is, oscar winner or not; a winner on its own.
