Summary: Could be better
Review: Nicest DVD quality & interactive programe I have seen so far. As for the movie, special effect, sound and cinematographic are great, but, the mood of the movie is rather un-smoothy. The main plot of the movie is very good and interesting. I've seen lots of Sci-fi/action movies, this one is just not up to its reputation. The exitements and mistyrius built up from the beginning and peak up to climax within the first 30 minutes of the film, then it started to decline, then some boring scences came in. Also 2-3 times, there were dialoques that made me expected that the good stuffs might come up. Then the movies ended. The movie is not too short but I think they organized the story poorly. Don't know who to blame, but this movie could be better, really. Oh, one more thing, Keanu Reeve never looks better (since he had relatively less lines to speak).

Review: No cheesy storyline or special effects here! This is science fiction of the next millenium! I love reading science fiction and this movie is as close as you can get to the movie you see in your mind when you read. Spectacular!

Review: No Doubt - The Matrix Re-Defines Futuristic Action-Adventure. Has An Excellent but sometimes too complicated plot.But having said that The Matrix IS Un-Questionably the best Sci-Fi of the year. -Best to RENT before you BUY.

Summary: Not an original movie, but worthwhile seeing.
Review: No it wasn't the most original ground breaking film of all time. But was that really what "The Matrix" was aiming for? I am a great fan of Cyberpunk literature, Hong Kong films and Japanese anime. I felt that "The Matrix" borrowed heavily from these genres. But I also felt that this movie was an entertaining two hour synthesis of all of those genres. Two more points worth mentioning: I hate Keanu's wooden "whoa" acting as much as the next guy. But I didn't mind him in this. The thing about human batteries was tenuous... really weak.

If you are debating if you should buy this movie, just check this out...the Matrix is the top seller at Amazon in the Science Fiction category, the Action/Adventure category and it is the #1 top seller out of 100 movies on video and DVD here at Amazon. Also, the Matrix DVD beat Titanic in sales when it first came out. If you want to see an excellent movie, see the Matrix. Also, if you are debating if you should get it on VHS or DVD, DVD is the better choice, it has many extra features. Both ways are great! The Matrix is the best movie I have ever seen and it will be made into 2 sequels, so it get with the times and own this masterpice today! Happy Holidays!

Summary: dazzling special effects, superb cast
Review: No one can be told what the Matrix is ... Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, Agent Smith are carefully developed and wonderfully portrayed in this deliciously thrilling cyperpunk extravaganza. Great martial arts scenes, cute tight black outfits on Neo & Trinity, philosophical questions, everything was near flawless. Hooray for the directors!!!

Review: No one can be told what the matrix is. You just have to see it for yourself. I was very intrigued and amazed at how well THE MATRIX has turned out to be. I myself have seen the picture about three times. The special effect are so amazingly done that it puts STAR WARS THE PHANTOM MENACE to shame. The story is good and the acting is ok, although I believe Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus was brilliant. Despite the fact that Keanu Reeves is in good shape in this movie his acting ability is nowhere in sight which is kind of good for his caracter. Even though in just about every Keanu Reeves movie he looks dazed and confused I think this or his caracter he plays here in THE MATRIX suppose to look confused. Anyway THE MATRIX was a great movie and I defenitaly recomend this movie to everyone.
