Review: I love this movie. The cars and gadgets are at full throttle and the movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. A must have for bond lovers.

Summary: Perhaps The Best Bond to Date
Review: In my opinion, this is possibly the best addition to the Bond series to date. In fact, I can really only find one thing in the entire film that I *don't* like, which is when Admiral Roebuck criticizes M's capabilities with a quip that had already been used in *Goldeneye.*Otherwise, the film is filled with exotic locations, high-tech gadgets, and well-developed characters that all make a Bond movie worth watching. Michelle Yeoh is superb as Bond's unlikely, but equally--if not superiorly--capable ally, Chinese Colonel Wai-Lin. Jonathan Pryce is, I think, my favorite Bond villain in his role as Elliot Carver. Perhaps that's because I can relate to his field of expertise, but I think his particular aspirations of world-wide domination and his motivations for them seem easy to accept, unlike so many other villains in Bond films. Gotz Otto, Carver's German henchman, is excellent in his role as super-sexy, blond, muscular and utterly evil sidekick. Teri Hatcher also does a lovely job as Paris Carver, Elliot Carver's wife and Bond's former lover. The love scene between the two in Bond's hotel room is really quite beautiful. Although her attitude might be a bit too smug, she makes a lovely addition to a long line of Bond villainesses, as she proves herself to be *not* entirely allied to the villain like so many of her predecessors. Judi Dench and Samantha Bond reprise their roles as "M" and Moneypenny, respectively, and do excellent jobs as both. As begun in *Goldeneye,* Samantha Bond's Moneypenny really turns the tables on Bond tradition, showing herself to be just as sarcastic as 007 himself. In fact, where Bond traditionally doubles his estimations of time to return to headquarters, Moneypenny now halves them for him. Dench is delightful as the strong-willed "M" and her scenes with Moneypenny, although they never lessen her authority, give the two characters a wonderfully subtle kinship that was never seen with a male "M." There are some great chase and fight scenes to be seen here, although perhaps not quite as good as those in the later *The World is Not Enough.* The bike chase, the airplane fight in the opening sequence, the fight in the bike shop, and the superb car chase in the parking garage are all quite good, with wonderful music by David Arnold to help them along. Gadgets by "Q" are awesome--the fully-loaded BMW of the parking garage scene in particular. What does it take to make a great Bond film? Who knows? But I think that this film definitely comes close to having it all.

Summary: My favorite since OHMSS.
Review: The main plot and villian is a tad weak, but Brosnan as Bond
has suddenly aged and lost his cute face, thus now abling
him to protray a darker and more serious Bond. You can see
him working hard at it, but that's good as long as he's
working. And in this film he has a past. An old girlfriend that
got tired of him sleeping with his gun under his pillow.
Bond has regrets about losing her. 007's possible love interest is Michelle Yeoh, who looks
great in both a wet t-shirt or formal wear. Their first
kiss is saved and climaxed brilliantly at the end. The production is first rate as are the action scenes.
Especially that helecopter coming blades first down the
street. The action goes over that top at times but with
both Brosnan and Yeoh, playing it straight and serious,
the scenes worked. And that's why I like this movie. It's
played straight and serious with Bond cold blooded at times
the way he was in Dr. No. Now that Brosnan's got it right for 007, he'll leave us
after one more outing. Leave us to who, I wonder?

Summary: So forgettable
Review: I am a HUGE James Bond fan. The Bond series is the greatest franchise ever but this showing was one of the weakest yet. I guess you would have to call it Brosnan's sophmore slump coming after the brilliant Goldeneye. Actually it wasn't Brosnan's fault, the script was absolutely anoroxic and there's a reason that Teri Hatcher doesn't get movie roles. I'd heard that her part was trimmed way down during production. I shudder to think how the movie would have turned out had she been given a larger role. Jonathan Pryce was alright but it's hard for me to watch him on screedn and not think of his Lexus commercials. Stamper was an extremely generic right hand man. Anyway let me boil down my main problems with the movie. When I watch Bond I want the girls, the exotic locations and the action. Teri Hatcher is alright but certainly not stunning. Michelle Yeoh is a bit old and again although she is attractive she is again not stunning. As to the exotic locations half the movie was set in Pryce's big boring building and the other half in Asia. No not the beautiful parts of Asia, the junky run down parts of Asia. The action was relentless to the point of being numbing. I will say that the stealth boat was rather cool. Now this is not the worst Bond movie, that would be the abysmal Lisence to Kill. If you like Pierce Brosnan as Bond get Goldeneye or The World is Not Enough but avoid this clunker.

Summary: I'm just brushing up on a little Danish.
Review: I have most of the Bond films, and this one is excellent. Make no mistake: we all lost out due to Brosnan's Remington Steele contract which kept him away from Bond for years. Don't get me wrong: Timothy Dalton was a good Bond, for my money, better than Roger Moore in his later flicks, but Brosnan is great. "Tomorrow" has everything we've come to expect, but a new twist is added by throwing in someone from Bond's past with Terri Hatcher's character of Paris. The great thing about this element is actual character development for Bond, which is something we really haven't seen in decades. The regret, the pain that James shows is becoming something of a trademark for Brosnan's Bond. (See the entire relationship with Electra King in "The World is Not Enough".) At long last, we're getting Bond with a soul. Brosnan also brings a quiet air of menace that Bond hasn't had since Connery carried the Walther, which only makes the films better. Sadly, I fear we may not get more than two or three more out of Brosnan before he decides to pass on the mantle. "Tomorrow" has plenty of action, and one of the greatest Bond chase sequences ever. Lots of cool gadgets, and pretty good screen time for Michelle Yeoh, who's a great counterpart for James. Grab some popcorn (or perhaps a martini) and settle in for real entertainment.

Summary: One of the first DVD's released that meant "Special Edition"
Review: "Tomorrow Never Dies" is one of those Bond films that people love or hate. For me, as an HK action fan, it was an important movie because it introduced Michelle Yeoh and she did a fantastic job in the movie and worked well with Brosnan. So, I may be a bit biased with this movie, so I will talk about the DVD instead. You are probably looking at this DVD and saying to yourself, "I never seen this DVD before?". Well, this DVD was offered back in 1998 and was a limited special edition release. It is very hard to find and if you can find one version of "Tomorrow Never Dies", look for the Special Edition with the gray cover. This DVD version is seriosly packed with special features. Actually, dedicated more for the hard core James Bond fan. The special features include a commentary by the director, stuunt director, producer, storyboards, concepts, 45 minute "Secrets of 007" featurette, music video, digital effects reel, music-only track with the composer, 12-page booklet, trailers and more. The DVD looks great and the sound is awesome! This is one of the early DVD releases that got a lot of recognition because it was packed with special features when most studios released DVD's bareboned. So, if you can find this special edition release, congratulations...you own one heck of a collector's DVD. Special Edition version of "Tomorrow Never Dies" (Gray Cover) is highly recommended!

Summary: Bond never dies...
Review: Don't get me wrong. I think Pierce Brosnan is still the 2nd best Bond ever--no one replaces Sean Connery, naturally, but Brosnan does a pretty good job. However, I take issue with the story here. It's what I like to call "Cookbook Bond" with every lack of originality of stories associated with Roger Moore, et al. Oh, another nuclear weapon? Surprise...I'm not sure, but MAYBE THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE!! And that's not everything. Our villain is hardly menacing to say the least. "There's no news like bad news." Was that meant to sound evil or effeminate? It's hard to tell, because the line was delivered so badly. I was so disappointed in Jonathan Pryce, a fine actor whose talent really shines in movies like Brazil, but is really wasted here as the "media mogul" whose mission in life is to make headlines. All rightie...let's waste a few million people (potential) customers to basically hold on to a few more customers that we may glean from this ridiculous venture of mass murder. Whatever. I'm thankful that Bond is still alive, but get original PLEASE!! At least Goldeneye had the semblance of originality...financial chaos caused by an EMP strike was interesting to say the least.

Review: Piecr Brosnan blasted onto the screen in his acting debut as 007 in GOLDENEYE! This a great movie but lacks that Acting skiil he did so well in it . He does his best but not up to par!

Review: the first best bond film since the living daylights. I like how pierce Bronsan is showing us the dark side of james bond I like his first bond movie Goldeneye. this one has a lot more action sences to it teri hatcher does a good job as bond flommer flames and jothan pryce does a super job as the mean bad guy. stamper is very mean side kick who want bond dead. i think pierce is better bond than timothy dalton.
