Rating: Summary: Robocop 2: A great sequel! Review: I think Robocop 2 is a great sequel especially because of the direction. Director Irvin Kershner could clearly understand what the first movie was about. The dark humor, the violence , the struggle of a man becoming machine and all the elements that made the original a success is again on the second movie, also the plot is very entertaining. Definetly a sci-fi masterpiece!

Rating: Summary: One of the biggest disappointments ever! Review: Robocop 2 is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Having been mesmerized by the first film, I went into this one having high expectations, especially with Irvin Kershner (Empire Strikes Back) at the helm. The movie opens with out any credits or title at all, which was strange. It moves very fast into Robocop trying to visit his wife again, which immediately brought a feeling of depth to his character. But that is abandoned quickly, like they wanted to get it over with, and they movie into 90 minutes of useless gore, profanity and poor plot. The special effects were much worse than the original and the human element, which made the first one so good, is all but gone. I remember standing up when the credits were rolling and just making a loud "Aahhhh" sound and most of the people agreed. Very poor!!
Rating: Summary: That;s all he wrote Review: This movie has all the elements of a bad comic book story, Not surpriseing because a comic book writer wrote the script, all I can saY TO THIS SO-CALLED WRITER is Don't Quit Your Day Job.
Rating: Summary: Not bad for a movie sequel Review: Most sequels to great movies aren't very good, but "Robocop 2" is an exception. Robocop (Peter Weller) returns to rid the city of criminals. In this sequel, he's ultimately after the drug lord of the city, Cain (Tom Noonan). But the road to finding Cain won't come easy, especially not after Robocop gets torn to pieces by some of Cain's people. However, Robocop does finally meet Cain face to face, except that Cain isn't human anymore, he's a cyborg just like Robocop himself, and an evil one at that.I don't see how anybody could give "Robocop 2" a bad rating because it's a great sequel. It has a little bit of dark humor such as a commercial where a woman puts on blue suntan lotion that has a caution reading: "Using this too much can cause cancer." And best of all it has spectacular action sequences, especially after Robocop and Cain finally meet and start fighting each other. The special effects are great, and Robocop 2 (Cain as a robot) is especially well done with all his weapons and the computer that acts as Cain's brain. If you like great action movies or if you liked the first "Robocop," I recommend getting "Robocop 2" without thinking twice.
Rating: Summary: What's up with the bad reviews? Review: Robocop 2 is a great movie. Sure, people say it lacks the dark humour and the deep story of the first, but I disagree wholeheartedly. I think when people watch Robocop 2, they see bright blue skies and shiny sparkling streets that they build up some preconception about it not having the dark moody tone of the original. But in actuality, the sparkly, glittering exterior is just a candy-coating, masking some disturbingly dark undertones. I've watched this movie when I was around 10 years old about 500 times, and believe me when I tell you that this movie screwed me up really bad. Take it from me... this movie definitely has some subversive sumbliminals working in it. Of course, the visuals was what kept me watching the movie so many times again and again when I was little. Robocop looks awesome, sinced they polished his armor up a bit after Robocop 1. The captivating stop-motion Cane also has to be the most amazing villain ever concieved! There has never been a more intimidating, scary, and downright goosebumb-inducing badguy in any movie. This dude sent chills down my spine when I watched him as a little kid. One more thing of note is that the film quality is MUCH better and clearer than the original Robocop, which is one of the reasons why I like #2 better than #1. Basically, I believe Robocop 2 took the formula of Robocop and made it way better. I honestly don't know why the reviews are so unfavorable to the movie in comparison to the prequel, because I love it. Maybe the director took a little time and inserted a hidden frame subliminal-message here and there, and got me hooked at a young age : )
Rating: Summary: Awful !? I loved this movie ! Review: This Robocop movie is better than the first and last Robocop movies. This movie was more into the 90's and was very violent then the oher Robocop movies. No wounder the first two movies were rated "R". This movie has a crime boss named "Cain" who gets killed in the middle of the movie and then "OCP" actually had an idea of creating a new Robocop but this time with the brain of the same guy Cain! I loved the story plot cause it first deals with the drugs of "NUKE", Robocop being torn apart, Cain getting killed & the new Robocop model killing people. Great movie. I don't know what you guys are saying but I enjoyed this movie more than the first and last movies of Robocop.
Rating: Summary: Awwwwww Review: What i can say that this film is boring and predictable, the first one beats it by 4 stars. It has stong violence and action, but if you want jackie chan style action and at least humour don't bother buying this one,you won't be happy, won't be happy watching it twice or more it'll bore extremely.
Rating: Summary: Awful Sequel! Review: I am not sure what movie some of these people were watching but this was a painful movie to watch. They should have just ended Robocop after the first movie and been happy. I would not rent this movie again let alone buy it, save your money!
Rating: Summary: accomplished special effects but dismal script Review: Unfortunately I have to concede that I found the film to be highly unpleasant.Unlike the first film the violence is unremitting, with automatic weaponry blazing throughout the movie.Eventually the repetiousness of the action scenes tires the viewers. The villains in the original were so much more credible and frightening.Judged on its own merits the film is passable action move but compared to Verhoevan's original and moving dystopian masterpiece it is a severe letdown.
