Summary: CLINT CALLAHAN
Review: Rock-hard cop Harry Callahan attempts to track down a psychopathic rooftop killer before a kidnapped girl dies. Harry abuses the murder's civil rights, however, forcing the police to return the criminal to the streets where he hijacks a school bus and Harry is called on once again. The only answer to stop this vicious killer seems to be death in cold blood, and Harry's just the man to do it. Taut, suspensful direction by Siegel, who thoroughly understands Eastwood's onscreen character. Features Callahan's famed "Do you feel lucky?" line, the precursor to "Go ahead, make my day".

Summary: One of the best movies of the 70s
Review: Clint Eastwood and Don Siegel create a film for the ages with Dirty Harry. The locations are exquisite (e.g. roof top views of S.F.). Lalo Schifrin's soundtrack is a classic. (Buy Dirty Harry Anthology) and you'll see what I mean.

Summary: What a treat - widescreen and fit for tv on one dvd
Review: The DVD video transfer is excellent. The sound is excellent. One side of the DVD is wide screen, the other side "normal" fir for tv screen.This affords a nice opportunity to see the difference between the two formats.

Summary: Boy Do I Feel Lucky To Own This Claissic
Review: I love Clint Eastwood's "Give the bad guy no quarter", attitude, why can't REAL cops be more like that. After all, less people would get hurt. The movie pits Harry Callahan against Scorpio, a serial killer who taughts police with letters and phone calls about his past and up-comming crimes (Remember Zodiac?) Well, do I give this movie 5 stars or only 4. Well, seeing as how I watch this movie over and over again for the past five years and would blow anyone's head clean off if they didn't like it, I got to ask you: Do you feel lucky that you own this? Well do you, PUNK?

Review: The orginal Dirty Harry is a classic from the 70's. It features Clint Eastwood in his best role as Harry and Andy Robinson as a detestable villian. The film has a very gritty realistic urban feel to it. It also features moments of potent violence which make each viewing cringe.

Summary: Slick, fast, and intelligent action.
Review: I love Dirty Harry, but, as a good-natured aside, I'd like to point out two glitches. First, when Scorpio is on a roof overlooking a park (preparing to shoot a young black man in a purple poncho), the camera begins the sequence by tilting (not panning, kids; panning is side-to-side) down to a group of children, running across the grass. Notice how, when the kids first appear at the bottom of the screen, they're all standing still, looking right at the camera, and waiting to be cued to run. Suddenly, off they go! Second, when the Police Chief is questioning Harry, regarding Scorpio's claim that Harry beat him up, Harry tries to say, "Anybody can tell I didn't do that to him," but Eastwood muffs the word, "anybody", and says something that sounds like, "any-duh-body." It's really glaring in an otherwise flawless film. Hasn't anyone else noticed these things?

Summary: Dialogue as sharp and cutting as a shot from Harry's magnum
Review: Cop flicks usually bore me, but this is one of the best-made movies I've ever seen. There are so many outstanding scenes, that it is anything but predictable. Eastwood is great as the savvy but cynical cop, and Andy Robinson makes everything go as the villain.

Review: I saw Dirty Harry for the first time last night, and I can honestly say that it's one of the best movies I've ever seen! Clint Eastwood plays Harry Callahan, a cop that will defy any law to bring a serial killer to justice. The killer takes him on a wild goose chase all over San Francisco, leading up to an astonishing climax! This was my first Clint Eastwood movie, and I'm glad! This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I can hardly wait to watch the sequels. Those of you who have not seen this movie yet, see it! And if you're not sure if you'll like it, well ask yourself just one burning question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya?

Review: The first scene encapulates the presence of the movie .... The entrance of the star and the presence of his dry humour and sadistic art shows how the star can act to potential .... The direction by Don Siegel is pure excellence and the infamous scene where Harry foils a bank robbery show how both the actor and director are as one ... The movie is timeless and resembles the true aspect of a man with a mission to do good not matter what the situation or result of his actions .... Dirty Harry belives in the right way of life and up holds the law with extreme dedication ... Excellent film which will never be surpassed ... See It To Belive It !!!!

Summary: Excellent.....the best in the series
Review: This film, in my opinion, is the best in the Dirty Harry series, followed by Magnum Force and then The Enforcer (which stank). Fun to watch.....a definite classic!
