Summary: Worst Movie Ever
Review: ...Godzilla 2000 had more action and better special effects. Batman and Robin had ice skates in their boots! What's up with that? The only reason I gave it one star was because it made me. I wanted to give it less than that. It was the biggest waste of money ever. Here's an idea: buy the action figures, set them up, and make your own movie. ...

Summary: STALE POPCORN MIGHT NOT BE SO BAD
Review: Lets get the good in first....wait, there is not good. Batman is suppost to be dark and gothic. However, once Joel Schumacher took over the movie looks like a giant circus. Bright colors and less sinister villians make this movie too cartoonish. Plus adding Alicia Silverstone to the film, only makes your realize this is a hollywood movie, and stars want to be noticed as much as possible. It's not the actors fault, but Warner Brothers needs to get Michael Keaton back and get the films to a darker level like the comic books. I would give this film ZERO stars if I could.

Summary: I thought it was pretty good(actually 3 1/2 stars)
Review: Judging by most of the other reviews I've read,I must be one of the only people in the world who actually likes this movie.I'll admit it wasn't nearly as good as the first Batman movie, but I liked it better than Batman Returns, and as well as Batman Forever.I will say, though, that George Clooney(who is usually a very good actor)isn't as good as Val Kilmer or especially Michael Keaton in the role of Batman.I thought Schwarzenegger was okay as Mr.Freeze, and Uma Thurman looks fantastic as Poison Ivy.Chris O'Donnell is alright(a little whiny at times)as Robin, and Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl looks good, but definately wouldn't win any oscars for her performance.(of course the rest of the cast wouldn't either.)As far as the story goes,it might not have been all that well written, but I thought it was entertaining, and the special effects were outstanding. The DVD is good-the picture quality and sound are fantastic, but as has been said before by others,(about all the Batman movies)there aren't enough extras.Overall,I'll say this might not be nearly as good as the original Batman, but even though I'm one of the few,I enjoyed it.

Summary: The worst of this series.
Review: The reviewer Jason below states that if you like the other Batman movies, you'll probably like this one, too. The chances of that are slim-to-none. The very reason so many people like myself find this movie a disaster is because of how far away it strays from the original. Tim Burton's direction was what made the first two films interesting to watch. Batman is supposed to be the Dark Knight, a loner who fights for justice. In Batman and Robin, he's basically one of 3 other crime fighters and he's really been reduced to a commerical product (check out that Batman credit card). Along with that, this movie also provides some of the most stupid lines I've ever heard. Heck, anybody who read this script and accepted must have been offered a rather good paycheck because this is the kind of movie that ruins a career. But hey, I can somewhat handle stupidity in this script if the action scenes are any good. Well, let's just say Joel Schumacher is inept when it comes to staging lavish action scenes. The problem is, these scenes become absolutely garish. It's numbing, and ultimately causes a lot of boredom. Schumacher has made some good movies, but he should leave this franchise well enough alone.

Summary: BATMAN AND ROBIN DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 DVD REVIEW
Review: The film on this DVD shows incredible color and gives a pleasant show. I especially enjoyed Chapters 13, 14, and 15 in which the colors at the botanical party show very clearly and it looks almost as if you were looking at it right through a window. Chapter 33, where Batgirl defeats Poison Ivy in her garden is wonderful to look at. VERY REALISTIC LOOK!

The 5.1 D.D Track is fantastic. The best scenes to hear the Surround Sound at work is in Chapters 16 in which cars on the freeway zoom past the screen to try to aviod Mr. Freeze's Icemobile and Chapter 36 in which Mr Freeze begins to freeze Gotham. As the Ice Beam passes along the screen the sound follows it faithfully. But of course, the superb soundtrack can be appreciated throughout the 125 min run.

I however did not like the lack of Special Features. Not even one trailer. It does have Production Notes, on the film its self and on various special effects/vehicles that were created. But those are just interesting the first time you read them. After that, you don't care for them. I wish Warner Bros. would put more supplements on thier DVDs.

While I do not think this film is the best Batman film, I do think that the DVD gives it a lot more brilliance and allows you to enjoy it more. I base my 4 star rating on the Audio, Video, The Supplements and the film its self.

(I made a previous comment on this film entitled "Why?", in which I gave my thoughts on the Film ONLY)

Summary: Holy Smokes Batman, it's the worst movie ever!!
Review: I never actually thought that crap was something that a film maker aspired to, but after seeing this, I believe Joel Schumacher sullys the good name of crap. With more neon then the Las Vegas strip and more cheesy one-liners than an episode of Saved By the Bell, this movie actually made blood burst out of my eyes. I understand that claiming this is the worst movie ever may be a bit extream, but I challenge anyone to find me a worse one. Here's a clue, if you can even find me ANOTHER movie that has a 300 foot statue of a naked guy holding up the freeway, I'll be really impressed. Who honestly wanted to see a homoerotic batman anyway? We can just catch the Ambiguosly Gay Duo on Saturday Night Live. It actually seems like Schumacher got the same writer . Anyway, this movie sucks, sucks, sucks. The only reason I even gave it a star is so you guys would know I reviewed it. In short, if your thinking about spending your hard earned money on this movie, do yourself a favor and just remove yourself from the gene pool right now. And take your rubber ducky with you.

Summary: What happend?!?!
Review: This has got to be the WORST batman yet..This movie is filled with the worst acting I have ever seen. And who thought it would be a good idea to cast Arnold as freeze? BIG MISTAKE. Same with Uma.. I liked her in her other films but she was HORRIBLE in this one.. I really wish Tim burton did back off on the last two.. Anyway, Don't waste your money on this garbage!!
