Rating: Summary: May become the key part of the trilogy Review: When I first saw Reloaded I was disappointed because of the sudden change in the roles of the characters. But after watching the movie the second time I saw more into the plot, the scene with the Oracle is the key. I agree with most that the plot was ambiguous with all the philosophical psychobabble but the arguments of deterministic nature and free will, will come full circle in Revolutions because they go hand in hand. But they did their job with the cliffhanger. Wether you like the movie or not you will watch Revolutions if you are a die hard Matrix fan.

Rating: Summary: Heaven Forbid A Movie That Makes You Think! Review: Look Out! Be Afraid! Run For It! Its a movie that actually has a plot involving personal reflection. The entire point of this trilogy is to show the struggle between the choices we make every day of our lives and the consequences. Its not another mindless action flick with subpar acting and a plot so full of meaningless holes. The holes left within the Matrix "Reloaded" are called plotlines and red herrings. It is a movie designed for two things: 1 - To awe you with its amazing special effects 2 - To Make you think, make you question the motives of the movie and the motives of yourselves. Its true that some scenes were done with the specific reference to kill time. But ask yourself...faced with the idea of 250,000 sentinels burrowing deep into the earths core to kill you...wouldnt you throw a party and try to celebrate your life on the perspective final night of your life??
Rating: Summary: doesn't matchup to the original Review: I thought the sequal was a disappointment due to the fact that it doesn't catch your attention or give you a thrill of excitement as the first one did. I'll give credit to the action scenes especially the big car chase scene but other than those points i have to say was uninteresting and boring so i recommend this to fans of the matrix series only.
Rating: Summary: Reloaded for bear... Review: The highest grossing R rated movie in history, The Matrix: Reloaded is a combination of thinking man's sci-fi thriller and summer blockbuster...and against the odds it's a worthy sequel to boot. Just as the Two Towers was to Fellowship of the Ring, Reloaded doesn't waste any time re-introducing characters or re-establishing the setup...it kicks off a scant 6 months after the end of the original Matrix, and hits the ground running. The movie trilogy, for those who haven't noticed, represents the cycle of life...The Matrix was all about birth (Neo's awakening) and eventually The Matrix: Revolutions will mark death for either the humans or the machine army. This middle chapter celebrates life in all its glory...hence that sweaty rave/sex scene that garnered so much misunderstanding from the critics. I really enjoyed that transitional sequence, and to me it juxtaposed nicely with the newly freed Smith, and his brutal reproductive methods. Actor Hugo Weaving steals every scene he's in with exceptional gravitas and presence, not to mention some great action set pieces. It has to be said that if you're easily confused by all the techno-talky sections then this movie may come across as four or five fight scenes strung together with blah-blah-blah dialogue. I think you either buy into this movie world or you don't, and non believers probably shouldn't apply. IMBD's forum's for this movie are rife with people bickering over whether or not Neo could have beaten all those Smith's....it's a film guys, and you either like it or you don't. And if you didn't then don't watch it again. For us jack-in types however, I think this movie has given us some of the most artfully arranged and splendidly realised action sequences ever devised...its what would happen if Jackie Chan married Bruce Lee, and John Woo conducted the ceremony. I defy those who said the movie lacked a sense of humor in its depiction of action and violence...one only has to turn to veteran actor Harold Perrineau for some great comedy timing, and indeed the whole film is underscored with comic-book irreverance. The strong cast keeps things ticking, with Keanu Reeves continuing to impress both physically and with his intensity and commitment to his role; he evens manages to raise a few smiles with his deadpan delivery. Stony-faced Carrie Ann Moss pulls off a few funny lines, and Monica Bellucci provides some pleasant eye-candy as the movie segues into its showdown action scene. Throw in special effects that make Star Wars look dull (and I'm a SW fan as well) with a thumping soundtrack and this is a DVD that your home theatre will fall in love with. Shake the halls of Zion, and buy this movie.
Rating: Summary: Simply Fantastic Review: Sure it's not going to be the first movie over again, but it stands on its own and delivers. I found the plot twists captivating and the special effects great. I will buy this on DVD and I will go see the third when it comes out in November.
Rating: Summary: What's with Review: Remember the scene in Empire Records, where Lucas starts spouting nonsense like "Who knows where thoughts come from? They just appear!" and AJ asks him, "What's with you today? Yesterday you were normal and now you're like the Chinese dude in Karate Kid." The Matrix Reloaded uses this same style of meaningless, pretentious, pseudo-philosophic mumbo-jumbo as dialogue. Except in Empire Records, they did it on purpose as a joke. Here, they think it's serious. Many fans of this series claim its detracters simply "don't get it." What's there to get? The world is virtual reality, the machines are using us as electrical generators (very flawed physics), and apparently every event has been forseen by the Oracle, because it's all programmed and has happened before. If there's any confusion, it's because these facts are related to us in by far the worst dialogue of any movie, including the silent era and Ed Wood films. They hide the plot behind this inane banter, and try to pass it off as intellect. That's only if you're awake for the dialogue. After ten minutes of a computer-generated image of Neo fighting a hundred computer-generated images of Agent Smith (still the only good character), I got bored and closed my eyes. I opened them again to find Trinity (now obsessed with sadistic violence, and creepily possessive of Neo) and Morpheus (now flabby, and just as pretentious as the dialogue) fighting some albinos on a freeway. This is meant to be the special-effects centerpiece of the movie that everyone's raving about. Fifteen minutes later, it's still going on, and I take another cat nap. Action scenes are only good when the characters are in danger; this is just a video game, and I don't even get to play. Why do these fights persist? Especially when Neo cannot be killed, and has the ability to fly? Why the rave in the mud? Why did I waste over two hours and seven bucks on this nonsense?
Rating: Summary: Good Grief! Review: All you people keep [complaning] about the same old things! Well I say that If your to dumb to understand and like The Matrix Reloaded, then I'm at a lost as to figure out how you figured out how to use your computer. THE MOVIE WAS SPECTACULAR, AND THE DVD IS EVEN BETTER with special features somebody might accually care about. And if you still are to dumb to understand the plot at face value, buy ENTER THE MATRIX, and get some insight. I'm Disgusted that so many people are that dumb. Just step back and try and see it in a new light, and if you still hate it, your a lost cause.
Rating: Summary: Let's face it, this movie was awesome. Review: Matrix reloaded, being the second in the series, did not provide most of the elements that mde the original so good, but instead provides others. Instead of being concerned with a discovery and explanation of what the matrix is, reloaded expands on themes and surpasses any other summer movie by miles. I really could have done without the dance/sex scene, and Neo and Trinity's relationship should not have just been assumed to be romantic from the start. But other than that, the rest of the movie was really fun to watch (and I'll probably watch it a few more times to try to figure out all the symbolism). Some elements I really liked were the whole key thing, Neo's choice dilemma, the return of Hugo Weaving as Agt. Smith (and Agt. Smith, and Agt. Smith..), and the introduction of the twins. Overall, you can't not see this movie. You've already made that choice, now you must act.
Rating: Summary: the best matrix Review: This one is 50x better than the first more action more plot more mind blowing speciel effects I loved this movie from start to finish a great movie buy this one.
