Summary: What We Have All Been Waiting For
Review: Star Wars I was the next Star Wars movie we have all been waiting for. It is the perfect beginning to a legend that we will never forget. We are introduced to Annakin Skywalker, the young Darth Vador, and Obi Wan Kenobie, as well as some new characters like Jar Jar Binks. It is an action packed thriller with cool fight scenes, cool characters, and great acting. This is a must see for anyone who vaguely likes the Star Wars films.

Review: In this childish butchering of the Star Wars saga formerly talented director George Lucas tells the beginning to the Star Wars saga. Where to begin? Well where for the former films were excellently made and entertaining for kids as well as adults this is poorly scripted, directed, trash dedicated to the celebration of special effects over script. This film butchers every aspect of the Star Wars universe right down to unraveling the mystical force fantasy to symbiotes living inside a host body. The script is almost nonexistent as we wander from one special effect scene to another. Poorly written dialogue such as "Are you an angel?" mar the script. The performances are largely poor. Samuel L. Jackson and Ewan McGregor are given next to nothing to do, Jake Lloyd delivers the worst performance by a child in cinematic history, Natalie Portman is more wooden than the forests on Naboo, and Hugh Quarshie appears to be reading the teleprompter. The direction is terrible. Lucas gets nothing out of his actors, and runs a point and shoot imagery. Also, his use of cutaways, box outs, and fades is 20 years old and it shows. Mr. Lucas special effects are not considered direction. Aside from that creatures farting, stepping in feces, and such odd childish acts coupled with the worst comedic sidekick ever to disgrace the silver screen doom the first entry in what was once the greatest film saga in history. As for the DVD? It is too good for the film. Great special features got placed here. My major beef about it is the deleted scenes only seem to remind me just how bad this film was.

Summary: The thrill is gone...
Review: The Phantom Menace, which carried the hopes of so many Star Wars fans, was a dissappointing on many levels. The acting is merely mediocre, with the exception of Liam Neeson who is the films only redeeming feature. The overload of digital material also destroys the magic that was present in the other films. So what if the characters in the older films were people in rubber suits? At least there was something real about them. This film gives you the feeling that you are watching a computer game, therefore there is no attachment to any character. All of the grandiose ideas of what the Jedi order may have been like are also shattered in this story. This film may be appealing to the up and coming generation with its glossy images and lack of intellect, however, the fans of the original trilogy, like myself will not experience the old "magic" with this film.

Summary: "Don't give in to hate!"
Review: So says Obi-Wan Kenobi to a young Luke Skywalker in what is considered by most to be the best movie of the Star Wars saga, The Empire Strikes Back. Yet so many have disregarded the Jedi Master's advice when forming an opinion about this movie. The fact of the matter is, 80% of the people polled after having seen The Phantom Menace said they loved the movie and more people listed Jar Jar as their favorite character than any other character. So why did a movie that went on to gross an unprecedented 430 million dollars get such negative press? Who knows? This is a great movie and a very welcomed addition to one of the greatest sagas to ever hit the big screen and the DVD is every bit as impressive as the movie itself. You'd literally have to set aside an entire day just to get through all of the special features that are packed into this two-disc set. If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for? And if you haven't seen it in awhile, what are you waiting for? You'd amazed at how good a movie this is when you watch it with an open mind.

Summary: Cool Movie!!!
Review: Overall this movie was awsome. It sets the beginning of the Star Wars saga. It may not be like the original but remember that the original was made 16 years before. However the special effects are way better like the underwater city in the beginning, the podrace sequence, and the final battle between the Gungans and the droid army at the end. The acting isn't the best as it was in the original. The queen's costumes where beautiful and you can see by watching this film that Lucas put a lot of time and effort into making it. This is the first movie in which a character is completly digitalized. I do agree that Jar Jar was very annoying at times but the newer ones like Attack of the Clones will not have him as much and for me it was kind of entertaining to watch him on screen. I also would have liked to see some more of Darth Maul as he only appeared in several scenes. Natalie Portman is fantastic and is even better in Episode 2 as she is able to play and show two sides to the queen and portray her as a negotiator and a fighter. If you don't like this one the other ones will be much better as the plot will enhance eventualy causing Anakin to become the evil Darth Vader and give birth to Luke and Leia.
