Summary: On Brosnan as Bond...
Review: First off, I enjoyed this movie very much. I am not a huge Bond fan, but I thought that Tim Dalton was terrible as Bond. He was too stiff and serious, and looked *mean* to boot.

I think that Brosnan made a great impression in his first movie as James Bond, and when all is said and done, he may even be considered as the best Bond ever. Heresy, you say? No one could match Connery? Well, my image of Bond was always someone who was refined, a gentleman, a great womanizer (of course), charming, good-looking, but under all that, a highly-trained, and very lethal killer. Brosnan will take some getting used to, but I think he is the rightful heir to the crown formerly worn by Connery and Moore.

Summary: Quite frankly the smartest james bond movie ever.
Review: Almost a decade ago after the terrible and pathetic fall of Licence To Kill.James Bond seemed all but gone leave to MGM to give us a suprise with an annoucment fans would sure to love the new bond is none other the remington steels own Pierce Brosnan to make Timothy Daltons acting job look like cheesy acting. To Tina Turners ravishing song for the title to the fall of a 400 foot dam to a test fire of the goldeneye weapon, to the an elaborate tank chase, and an ifeltration on a giant sattelite complex and a specail effects ending.Exotic locations , beautiful women and of course action. In the most action packed bond ever Brosnan pulls Bond off very well and this is the best bond movie of the 90's , with more options on the dvd you can handle hang on and enjoy.

Review: After a six-year hiatus comes a new Bond movie and anew James Bond.Pierce Brosnan is my second favorite Bond next to Sean Connery. The action and stunts are really good.My favorite part is the climax at the sattelite cradle.Sean Bean is a great villain and Xenia Onatopp is the best villainness of all the Bond films.Nataliya was very good.Brosnan's acting was excellent.Tina Turners title song is one of my all-time favorites next to Live and Let Die, A View To a Kill, Nobody Does it Better, You Only Live Twice, Goldfinger, and Thunderball. The score is also one of my favorites by Eric Serra. The plot was okay and General Ourmouv was really cool.Jack Wade is the new CIA contact played by Joe Don Baker, who played the villlainous arms dealer Brad Whitaker in The Living Daylights. The opening stunt scene is one of the best in the series next to Moonraker's.The pre-title scene is awesome! It is one of the best along with Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever, The Spy who Loved Me, Moonraker, A View To a Kill, Octopussy, and Tomorrow Never Dies. This is my fifth favorie OO7 film, beaten by The Spy who Loved Me, Thunderball, License to Kill, and The World is Not Enough.

Summary: Bond gets back Onatopp of things!
Review: It is difficult to recreate in words the sheer visceral thrill of seeing this film for the first time in a proper movie theater...but I will indeed try. Each time I see this film, I'm reminded of just how great a turnaround this movie made for the Bond series. Some of you may not remember that there was a six-year period where the future of James Bond was indeed in question, thanks to the commercial failure of "Licence to Kill". This movie singlehandedly put Bond back on the cinematic map with a vengeance. And justifiably so, for it is perhaps the best-constructed post-On Her Majesty's Secret Service Bond film. All of the classic Bond elements are well-utilized, be they the gadgets, the lethal enemy, the beautiful ally, the bombastic theme song, or the one-liners which Timothy Dalton never really looked comfortable saying. Pierce Brosnan, despite some stiffness, is indeed suited for the part and we instantly can accept him as Bond. A more psychologically complex and to some extent more vulnerable Bond he is, which makes his portrayal all the more interesting.

And, perhaps most importantly, the film itself LOOKS good. Martin Campbell deserves much credit for his directorial effort; the film is visually a world apart from predecessor John Glen's rather tepid later efforts.

It's difficult to call this film a classic, at least at the present time (it's still a relatively new film, after all) -- but my guess is that this Bond entry will stand up well to the test of time...The Man With The Golden Gun, it ain't!

Summary: Not the best but not the worst
Review: Okay, let's get this out. Goldeneye is not the best Bond film, but it isn't the worst either. If you want bad Bond see most of the Roger Moore canon. The only thing that is distracting in Goldeneye is the horrible soundtrack. It is extremely weak and unbond like. But the soundtracks get better after this one. Pierce as Bond has his moments that come to shine in the next two installments. This really is an enjoyable film and like I said above, it has its moments of pure Bond magic.

Summary: One of the better Bond's (Don't listen to the retards).
Review: "~Ian Flemming's original vision surrounding Bond was a Special Agent who's wife had been killed by organized crime and his only goal in life was to seek revenge and mindlessly murder "The Bad Guys." All the while he is seeking love from women to remind him of his wife, but no woman can do for him so he inevitably leaves them.

"~ off the new gadgets, try to sell them to you by making 30 commercials then promise that the next Bond film will be better. It's a sad formula but has worked well for Tommorow Never Dies.

"~ earth.

is not the best Bond film. But it is an attempt to recreate the meaning of a good Bond movie. The mistaken idol to Bond films Tommorow Never Dies clearly taught us that it's not all about the gadgets and cool action sequences, it's about the intelligence and build up of character.

Summary: Great action and quite well done.
Review: I have only seen one other James Bond film (Dr. No) so don't look to me on how this stacks up to the mythos that is Bond. But as it's own film it was great. Great action. Great story (that wasn't hard to follow at all). Great girls. The only thing I didn't really appreciate about this film, was the way they had to squeaze in some of the one-liners. Usually when I see a PG13 rated action movie, I won't even give it a second look, but I'm glad I purchased Goldeneye. Full recommendation on purchase.

Summary: Brosnan is a complete shame!
Review: What a really disappointing follow-up to the James Bond-films! How in the world do you bring such a nice and nearly perfect Bond-actor like Dalton to the James Bond-role, and then bring this nerdy and lousy actor Brosnan to let him play James Bond? What an insult!

Dalton was convincing and really GOOD as James Bond, but bringing Brosnan to the role is the same thing as a complete joke!

He is weak and dumb! And what a hell is this? Is this supposed to be a James Bond-movie?

What a joke! - It`s a mixture between Die Hard and True Lies!

And it lacks ALL of the James Bond-feelings that the films had during the 60-80`s...

The Bond-era is OVER! -WHY is people so stupid that they can`t realize that!

-It was over after the Bond-movie "Licence to kill" was released!

I think it`s about time to realize that now!

Lousy movie, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with James Bond!
