Rating: Summary: grr tanya roberts hot Review: A view to a kill is awesome i loved it. It was 58 year old Roger Moore's last outing as bond. it had the hooooooooootttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tanya Roberts. I wonder why people dont like her. shes my 2nd favorite bond girl. next to Yolt's Akika Wakabayashi as Aki.I think Christaphor Walken is a great lead villan as Zorin. Also I thougt Grace Jones WAS great as MayDay even though that is a stupid name.so in conclusion long live Charlie's Angel/Bond girl Tanya Roberts.
Rating: Summary: Bond bakes quiche, saves microchip industry!!!!!!! Review: This review's title is, sadly, true. The hopelessly aged Roger Moore pairs up with the second-worst Bond girl ever (Tanya Roberts, who does give "Golden Gun's" "Mary Goodnight" a serious run for her money as the worst...), and 80's icon Grace Jones, to give us Bond fans this: THE bad Bond movie to end all bad Bond movies.Sure, the action sequences (at least some) are very, very good. Also, this movie features Christopher Walken who, along with Diana Rigg, Judi Dench and Halle Berry, is one of the greatest actors to ever support Bond. Walken is maniacally interesting, although painfully under-developed as a character. This movie also features the legendary "Avenger" Patric Macnee ("John Steed"), as the obligatory "sacrificial lamb" a la "From Russia's" Kerim Bey. The present of John Steed notwithstanding, this movie is sunk from the get-go, and one figures that not even Emma Peel could save it... The movie starts out with a ridiculous sampling of The Beach Boys'"California Girl's", while Bond beats the bad guys and boards a MI6 submarine decorated like a bachelor pad, complete with a bimbo-looking "agent". This scene is, to my mind, the absolute nadir of the Bond series: Roger Moore has finally done it, given a then-young Mike Myers the inspiration to spoof this legendary series and this legendary character. It doesn't get better, either. A San Francisco cop answers Moore's "Bond. James Bond" with "Yeah, and I'm Dick Tracy!" Unbelievable!!! The kitsch level is so insufferably high, and Moore's ridiculous un-Bondian mugging makes it all the more insufferably so. Of course, as this review's title indicates, the 60+ year old Bond gives us a whiff of domesticity, actually baking a quiche...! Thankfully, this would be Mr. Moore's final appearance as Bond. Thankfully, the under-appreciated Timothy Dalton would rescue this series from itself, and set up Pierce Brosnan's blockbuster performances as Bond...
Rating: Summary: The worst Bond film ever... Review: Roger Moore should have stopped making Bond films after "For Your Eyes Only." That was his fifth and should've been his last. Instead, his last was two movies later, an abomination called "A View to a Kill." This film is littered with weaknesses that make for a painstakingly boring two hours. The most noticeable is Roger Moore. He wasn't that great of a Bond to begin with, and here he is far too old to be considered an action hero. The second is the plot, which is completely stolen from "Goldfinger," one of the best in the series. Next, we have that annoying computer expert chick who couldn't be convincing if her life depended on it. Also, the "laughs" in this movie are too frequent and too silly, making this film hard to take seriously. The films only merits are the casting of Christopher Walken and Grace Jones as the two badguys. While their characters really don't feel that menacing compared to other villains, the two do everything they can to bring out good performances. "A View to a Kill" is the very worst of the Bond films. Thank goodness it was Moore's last.
Rating: Summary: Complete Tripe, but I Like It... Review: Ok, Now I must admit that this movie had some serious flaws. Tonya Roberts only recently reached her acting zenith on That 70's show. Bond and Moneypenny are(I really hate to say because I loved them in earlier movies) too old. And much of the acting is not the best. But ..., this is the only Bond movie set in S.F. Bay Area(...), and I saw it being filmed, so that trumps all factors. Plus Christopher Walken is truly one of the best bad guys ever. And Grace Jones....yum. It also has great Paris scenes. Hey, you can't beat Duran Duran for pure cheese value. Like I said, complete tripe.....but I like it!!!
Rating: Summary: Weakest of the Roger Moore Bond films Review: I love James Bond films and am a big fan of Roger Moore but this is the one Bond film I don't like very much. Reasons? (a) Tanya Roberts can't act (b) Christopher 'Wooden' Walken can't act (c) Duran Duran's songs all sound the same (like crap). Okay I realize that most Bond girls aren't exactly picked for their acting skills but please! Tanya Roberts? Come on, they could have done better than that. Any of the other ex-Charlies Angels would have been better (Jacklyn Smith would have been awesome - but I digress). If you want to complete your Bond collection, by all means get it but I'd say any of the other Roger Moore Bond films are superior to this one ...
Rating: Summary: Excellent bond movie! Review: I am only 13 but i love the 007 movies and roger moore is the all-time best bond and his films are so much better than the rest, I have devoted my life since i was about 9 (octopussy blew me away!)to be just like roger, with quirky anecdotes, sharp dressing and THAT trademark eyebrow! Rog really DIDN'T look 58 in this did he? And this film still proves, though he was old enough to be George Lazenby, Timothy dalton and Pierce's dad, that he still can play bond the same, if not better than in live and let die, it includes an 2 excellent car chases! So if your a moore fan and you are put of by the reviews saying "he is to old", "it is pure slapstick" or "martin grace (stuntman) played bond longer than moore in this film" Watch it and you will not be put off, believe me if it was that packed full of sloppy jokes or roger looking to old, do you think that a 13 year old would like it without saying "James bond 007 looks like a grandad and none of the jokes are funny" BUY IT!!!
Rating: Summary: Dance Into The *Bond* fire! Review: Good movie. Sadly, Roger Morre's last 007 movie. Oh well. This movie has A LOT of action. Some people don't like the chase seen in this movie when James hangs from the lader. I think it's cool. The story is this guy, Mr.Zorin wants to rule the world(well what else!) Not also that, he wants to make an earthquake! Bond must stop him. The DVD features 3 traliers,3 tv stops, a documentry of the movie and about the James Bond Songs from 1962-1999, and a music video of Duran Duran. 007 fans, this is a must see. Get it on VHS or DVD today!
Rating: Summary: HAHAHA! THIS IS SO SILLY (AND FUNNY)! Review: Many people hate this movie. And, one person thought it was bad because the videotape was never rewound! AHH! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Who's laughing now! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh, that's funny! The name, Zorin, that's funny too! Ah! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! The Zorin blimp blowing up at the end: the funniest! HAAAAAA! HAAAAA! HAAAAA! Ha! (You've been attacked [again] by another attack review!) Oh, and one more thing: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Rating: Summary: Supposed to be New Review: But it wasn't even rewound
Rating: Summary: OK I guess Review: A View To A Kill was OK but not one of the best. But it's not the worst either. This is the worst Roger Moore one though and it was such a bad idea to make this his last one. I wish Octopussy or For Your Eyes Only was his last or at least made The Living Daylights his last even though Dalton did quite a good job of performing in it. They should have made this after Moonraker. I'm not saying it was as bad, I'm just saying they have some sort of similarity like for instance, they both happened in California. But most of the of the action sequences were enjoyable. I know part of the plot but not all of it. All I know is that one of Zorin's (the villan performed by Christopher Walken) horses got an operation on her leg so the could put the micro chip inside her and the micro chip would make the horse win the race. you can buy this. It's kind of enjoyable, but don't expect too much from it.
