Summary: Boring as " Bass masters classic "
Review: My faveorite James Bond of all time was Timothy Dalton and my fave bond movie was " The living Daylights ". So in 1988 or 89 when i went to see licence to kill i thought it would be good but i was dissapointed. This movie was boring.....i advise you dont watch it or rent it....same thing goes for " on her majestys secret service ".

Summary: The Best Bond in Years, but One of the Lowest Grossing
Review: Oddly, this film made less money than any other Bond. But it's far better than any of the Moore films. I saw it a couple of times in the theater back in '89 and found the story more cohesive and interesting than almost any of the prior outings since Diamonds are Forever.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BONDS EVER!!!!
Review: Licence to Kill, was Timothy Dalton's second, and last Bond film, and that's a shame because he was the best Bond ever. Just a bit better than Sean Connery. The film bases Bond's partnter and long time friend going after a Cuban drug dealer, Sancheas, I think that's how you spell it? On the day of his wedding, once James catches him, he is brought to jail and sentenced for over 900 years. While James enjoys his friend's wedding, Sancheas escapes from the help of a corrupt cop. After escaping, the drug dealer kills Felix's bride, and nearly kills Felix, feeding him to a Great White Shark. Bond soon sets out for revenge, not accepting to turn in his licence to kill, to take Sancheas down. While tangling with two Bond girls, and tracking the enemy down. He learns the criminal is transporting drugs in gasoline trucks, turning them into gasoline, and turning the cocaine back into powder afterwords. Bond soon battles with his enemies, meets Japanese avengers going after the dealer himself, and falls in love twice more! Dalton is superb as Bond, and scenes are packed with nothing but action, humor, and that Bond wit you just fall in love with. I wish Dalton could of been in more, and it's too bad this Bond wasn't based on an Ian Fleming novel, I would of loved to read it! A great Bond!

Summary: A good Bond, but not the best I've seen
Review: I think that Timothy Dalton did a good job of portraying Bond in this action thriller. I feel that this particular movie didn't place real high with me because it wasn't like the original storyboards that the other Bond movies have. "It hits too close to home" with all the drug lords and scandels that occur in today's world. I especially like the movies with S.P.E.C.T.R.E and super villans like Blofeld, ones that have unheard character names. It still is a very good movie, but lacks the originality of the earlier Bond films. It is still a good purchase to buy and I think that I will order this title myself, just to see the pyrotechnics and the action sequences that are excellent.

Summary: Ugh!
Review: Don't get me wrong here, I think Timothy Dalton made a terrific James Bond. Sadly, he was saddled with some horrific scripts and was wise to depart the series after just two films.

Despite Dalton's talent at portraying Bond, this particular film is enough to make even a die-hard Bond fan hurl. Having run out of original Ian Fleming novels to adapt to the screen--and apparently unwilling to pay current authors of the Bond literary series for their works, the screenwriters decided to put together a story(?) on their own. They failed. All they managed to do was to slap together a pastiche of elements from former Bond movies and books. For example, the scene where Felix Leiter gets dumped in with the sharks was lifted directly from "Live and Let Die." Other scenes were taken from "Thunderball" and some of the short Fleming novellas in "Octopussy" and "For Your Eyes Only." The result is incoherent garbage. It's not worth the effort and certainly unworthy of the Bond character.

Timothy Dalton's too good an actor for this drivel. I applaud his wisdom in leaving. Let a hack actor like Pierce Brosnon act in these hack movies.

Summary: A very different James Bond!!
Review: I first saw Licence to Kill during the T.B.S "Fifteen Days of Double-0-Seven." in December of '98. I must now say that this movie, blew me away! Since then I have seen this film a great number of times and I have grown to love it very much. It will always have a very special place in my heart. Of all the James Bond films this stands out as being very different from the rest. It just feels different! In fact, if you change the appropriate names and it's music L.T.K. may cease to even resemble a bond film. At least until 'Q' shows up with his bag of goodies. As some of you may know the original title of this picture was the better fitting 'Licence Revoked'. It was changed because it made American audiences confused. They thought (and I'm guessing)that it was the sequel to something called 'License to Drive' which was a hit the year before.

Summary: Revoke this "License"
Review: Whew, what a bore. LICENSE TO KILL could have killed the James Bond series! Maybe all the cigarette smoking (a tobacco company paid to have its product prominently displayed) clouded the filmmakers' judgement. Were it not for a funny, unctuous villain wonderfully played by singer Wayne Newton, I would have walked on on LICENSE TO KILL. Don't pay a cent to see LICENSE TO KILL. But if you can catch it on TV, suffer through it just for Wayne Newton's part.

Summary: The worst Bond film
Review: This is a nasty, ugly film lacking the wit, style and memorable action of the best of the series. The villains are graceless and sweaty; the music is rubbish; the locations are limited and unglamourous; the women are far from memorable beauties; and Dalton looks as if he's severely constipated throughout. Avoid.

Summary: Dalton Does It Again! Great!
Review: Dalton's debut in The Living Daylights was my favorite Bond. Then comes from Russia with Love. The third in line is License to Kill. It is one of the best. James Bond is no longer a robot OHMSS. He's on a personnel vendetta. In the begginning, James Bond and company capture trhe drug lord, Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi, who gives this villain a sadistic and socialable image). A two million dollar bribe and Sanchez is free. To seek revenge he maims Felix Leiter, Bond's DEA crony, and rapes and murders his young bride Della, who is perfect as the frightened bride. Leiter, played by Live and Let Die's David Heidison, is fed to the sharks. Dalton's discovery of the carnage is neatly judged. Then Bond leaves the Secret Service to avenge Leiter. His license to kill is revoked and his comrades are after him too, since he is a loose cannon. The leading ladies are great, with Carey Lowel as Pam Bouvier, a tough woman who realizes there is more at stake than Bond's vendetta. Lupi is also a fine Bond girl; she is Sanchez's abused girlfriend who rescues and is rescued by Bond. The action, the final tanker truck finale and the escape from Milton Krest's ship, is thrilling. The score has the perfect Latin flavor. A great Bond film from the Gun Barrel opening to the love ballad during the credits, If You Asked Me To.

Summary: One of the best Bonds!
Review: This is one of the best Bond movies! Timothy Dalton does a great job at playing Bond, also seen in "The Living Daylights." This is tied with another Bond movie for the best deaths of villains. (The other one is "On Her Majesty's Secret Service.") Great movie!
