Rating: Summary: Only Goldfinger is better Review: I disagree with the previous review...Goldfinger is the best Connery Bond film, but Diamonds are Forever is a close second, Thunderball being the worst. Diamonds has extremely fun and creative action sequences in wildly variant locations throughout the film, and a story that beats most other Bond films. Some of the supporting characters are unforgettable. A great film.
Rating: Summary: Connery's farewell Review: Connery's last film in the official Bond series is not one of his best, but neither is it one of his worst. Why does Blofeld have hair? That is the big mystery of this movie for me. In my opinion, this is the 4th best official Connery film, worse than Goldfinger, Thunderball, and From Russia With Love but better than Dr. No and You Only Live Twice
Rating: Summary: It's all about the money Review: Connery was at his absolute worst in this film. They had to pay him a high amount to do it, then he only reluctantly agreed. Jill St. John was a horrible bond girl. Her lines were garbage and all she did was mess things up. She could have at least been good looking. The actor who portrayed the villain was an ally in You Only Live twice. What kind of casting is this? Connery should have done his last official movie in 1969 in OHMSS which would have been fantastic with his acting ability. Nobody's acting in this was inspired. If somebody had told me that the movie was 3-1/2 hours long I would have believed them. The movie was supposed to be fun, but I felt myself yawning a lot more than laughing. If you want to see a "fun" Bond movie, check out Live and Let Die or The Man with the Golden Gun. At least I laughed twice in those movies. Definitely Connery's worst outing. Actually I think this is the worst Bond movie ever. period.

Rating: Summary: Not bad for Connery's return Review: "Diamonds Are Forever" is notable for starting the second wave of Bond films: a more comic-book, light hearted approach. After a misguided experiment to create a more humanistic 007 in On Her Majesty's Secret Service had resulted in poor box-office results, the film-makers decided this was the approach that was necessary. The end result is a much more satisfying film than OHMSS. Diamonds Are Forever is simply filled with fun. With George Lazenby walking away from the role the produced offered an exorbitant sum of money for Sean Connery to return. His presence ensures that the main character dominates. However, may I just point out that Sean Connery is NOT the best Bond. That honour goes to a certain Mr. Roger Moore. Now I know some of you may start hopping up and down and shouting how on earth I could say this, but you'll see that Moore is not only an actor who is more fun to watch, but that he clearly dominates the screen as well. Just look at Connery, with his stumbling Scottish accent (Bond is meant to be English) and dreadfully wooden and lifeless image.Anyway, back to the film. Diamonds Are Forever contains a brilliant teaser with Bond hunting down Blofeld for the murder of his wife Tracy, he kills him.....or does he....? Later on there are entertaining sequences such as when 007 flees his enemies in a moon buggy, and when he mountaineers his way into a high building, where he finds the REAL Blofeld... On the down side, Charles Gray just doesn't have the menace to play Blofeld well (Blofeld should always be bald). Charles Gray had previously played an old-time MI6 agent in You Only Live Twice. Tiffany Case is rather dumb as a Bond girl (although Jill St John does a good job of playing her), Felix Leiter is badly acted by Norman Burton, and the special effects aren't that good. Although it isn't first-rate Bond, Diamonds Are Forever will keep you entertained.
Rating: Summary: Connery Steals the Show! Review: This is my favourite because of the basic elements that a bond film needs: The casino The nasty henchmen Blofeld back again (He gets killed though)etc Not only is it comical in many seens, also very exciting and quite mordern looking. The best Connery by far.
Rating: Summary: Awsome is Forever Review: This Movie is awsome and is forever. Check out my other reviews and buy the Bonds
Rating: Summary: Worst Bond movie I've seen. Review: This is even worse than a view to a kill, the movie that made me swear off bond movies forever. Connery's hairpiece is the best special effect. Why does Blofeld have hair? Why isn't Bond's wife's death mentioned? Why the hell are the production values so low? They basically use pre-existing sets, and use them poorly at that. This movie is terrible, what a waste of a great storyline that arced through the first six movies. Oh, the music sounds like it was produced with two synthesizers and a poorly tuned guitar.
Rating: Summary: A jewel worth watching Review: Once again, proof that Sean Connery is the best 007. This movie contains all the elements that makes Ian Fleming's character universally entertaining; a cruel and stylish nemesis in Blowfeld, evil and interesting asassins creeping all around, and a suave Bond, always the ladies man, with his signature dry, tongue in cheek humor. The setting of this picture is not quite as exotic as one would expect in a Bond film, but there's enough action not to make this a distraction. The two wacky asassins in this movie, are particularly sadistic and funny, making them quite memorable. Not quite as good as Goldfinger or Thunderball, but still a favorite for any Bond fan.
