Summary: Not terrible, but not good.
Review: Since I gave Batman & Robin 1 star, I'd guess I'd have to give this 2. It's better, but that's not saying much. I have a real problem with the characters. TWO-FACE is NOT the Joker with an ON/OFF switch. He's a real complex character with a good/evil side, not a quiet/loud side. I also didn't like the blink-and-you'll-miss-it introduction of why he is. The RIDDLER is NOT the Joker in pajamas. He is a cold, calculating insane genius. Val Kilmer is pretty good as Batman, although I'd like to see Batman portrayed as the brilliant detective he is. Chris O'Donnell. If he was the Jason Todd Robin & not the Dick Grayson Robin, I might have been able to stand him. He's a dull brat with absolutely NO screen presence.

Summary: The Second Best
Review: The second best Batman movie,not as good as "Batman:Mask of the Phantasm"(I give 3 1/2 stars) but a lot better then the other's. "Batman" was ok I give it 1 1/2 stars. "Batman Returns" Sucked I give 1 star. "Batman & Robin" SUCKED more I give 1/2 a star. "Subzero" was Great I give it 3 stars.

Summary: The Worst Batman Movie Yet (Including Batman & Robin)
Review: Val Kilmer made a horrible Batman. Jim Carrey was a mockery to the entire Batman movie continuity. Tommy Lee Jones used absolutely NO acting talent as Two-Face. Nicole Kidman was bad too, and so was Chris O'Donnell. I think this movie was worse than Batman & Robin (though I didn't like that either). All I can say is, BRING BACK BURTON, KEATON AND ELFMAN!!

Summary: The movie is good, but could use better lighting.
Review: For me, Batman Forever is tied with Batman and Robin as the best batman movie ever. I think Val Kilmer does the best as Batman. He is easily better than Michael Keetan(is that how you spell it?), who looks like he couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Jim Carrey really makes this movie stand out though, esspecially with his hilarous lines. ("Your entrence was good-his was better.") Tommy Lee Jones is good also, but you barely notice because you can only pay attention to Carrey. (You also have to love it when Riddler says: "Has anyone ever told you that you have a SERIOUS IMPULSE CONTROL PROBLEM!?") However, it still suffers from the lack of lighting that Batman 1 and 2 had, although it is a bit better. Robin (Chris o'Donnell) is great too, and I certainly hope he is permanant in the batman movies. All in all, Batman Forever is alot of fun to watch, with lots of great lines.

Summary: Great movie,but not as good as Tim Burton's pioneer effort
Review: In my review for Batman and Robin, I stated the fact that this movie was reasonably well done(See my review for Batman and Robin). Tommy Lee Jones' potrayal of Two-face does not correspond with the original character. Nevertheless, he did quite a good job. Val Kilmer at least did a better job as Batman when compared to that of George "Clowney". Chris O'Donnell also did quite a commendable job as Robin, unlike his effort in Batman and Robin. Jim Carrey outshines everybody in his role as "The Riddler", but overdid it a little. Michael Gough's chracter Alfred, was acted very well, as usual. Nicole Kidman's character was however unneccessary. All in all, this movie was enjoyable, but it's just an average movie.

Summary: THE BEST BATMAN EVER. BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
Review: BATMAN FOREVER was in my opinion the best of all the BATMAN films it has the best effects of all of the films. VAL KILMER did a great job in my opinion as BATMAN so did CHRIS O'DONNEL and TOMMY LEE JONES and espically JIM CARREY. This film really gets to the point of who BATMAN is and why he does what he does. Even the soundtrack is great I would sing the prasises of JOEL SCHUMACHER too if it had'nt been for the next film my advice to watch this one and previous 2 and skip BATMAN 4 and wait until BATMAN 5. So all in all you'll have a blast with this movie I gaurantee it.

Summary: Maybe not "Forever"
Review: When director Tim Burton abandoned the "Batman" series, Joel Schumacher took over. His take on the Dark Knight was more light-hearted and campy, much like the 1960's television series. The result? A visually astounding, but ultimately inferior, sequel.
If nothing else, "Batman Forever" is one of the most visually impressive films of the 90's. Blessed with eye-popping cinematography and sets, the eye candy far overshadows the performances. Val Kilmer's take on Batman is somewhat convincing; I also thought Tommy Lee Jones made a great Two-Face, even if his character's story was destroyed. But the Riddler (Jim Carrey) didn't impress me at all, and Nicole Kidman was wasted in her throwaway role. I'm not even going to touch on the plot--the movie pretty much consists of (more than) a few dazzling action setpieces, with some of Bruce Wayne's brooding thrown in for good measure.
Is "Batman Forever" a worthy entry into the Batman Legacy? No. Is it an entertaining, technically-impressive action movie? Absolutely. If special effects and bright colors are your thing, check this one out.

Summary: Tommy Deserved Better
Review: This film has a suitable "Two-Face" style reaction for me. On the one hand it is a relief after the nasty darkness of 'Batman Returns' it is also a disappointment in terms of character development and overall Feel. Val Kilmer's Batman is a pouty, emotionally stunted wet blanket(not his fault but the director's), Nicole Kidman's character is a slut, Chris O'Donnel's Robin spends the entire movie acting like a punk, and Jim Carrey plays Ace Ventura, I mean the Mask, uhh.. Riddler. The thing that really makes me mad though is taking a Great Actor, Tommy Lee Jones, Cast him as a Great Character, Two-Face, and Making him perform him like he was the Joker and under-develop him to the point that he plays second fiddle, no pun intended, to JIM CARREY! CURSE YOU SHUMACHER! If the film had centered around Two-Face and Bruce's guilt for not being fast enough to help him, it would have been great! But that is almost an after thought in the actual film. Blaming Two-Face for the Death of Robin's parents sets him up to be a "Robin" villain, Something more suitable for Riddler or the Penguin. All this ranting aside, Tommy is the only Main Character who is actually convincing in the film. It's too bad he wasn't able to work with Tim Burton and Michael Keaton on a film that was worthwhile. Elliot Goldenthal Wrote the music but it pales in comparison with Elfman's work on the first two films. I was hoping there would be deleted scenes on the DVD but there aren't any. Most of Tommy's Scenes are in the movie, but some juicier moments were cut. Oh well.

Summary: Batman Forever
Review: Batman Forever is the third installment in the highly successful Batman series.This movie is good in many aspects, and not so great in other ways.It is certainly no where near as good as the first two, but it is still a fun and impressive film.The new characters ;Riddler and Two Face are great.Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carry aren't that bad; but at first I wasn't that sure how they were going to do.I also liked how they brought in Robin.The movie has an awesome cast; they did for the most part a good job.Nicole Kidman was in this one, but this film definetly wasn't one of her best pictures;not that she didn,t do a good job.The riddles also weren't to bad.Now some of them were easy, but added up well.ASnother thing I liked was Gotham City; it looks best in B2 though.The special effects were an improvement from the first two.Now that we are through with the good let's go to the bad.I hated so much how there was a new Batman; no offence to Val Kilmer, but he just shouldn't have done this.Also the new director.It wasn't the same without Tim Burton and Michael Keaton.Besides that the film was good and I would recommend it. The third installment in the "Batman" series. Here the Caped Crusader must once again contend with two strange-looking, personality-impaired villains. First, there's maniacal ex-DA Harvey Two-Face, so named because half his countenance has been horribly disfigured by acid. Then there's the wise-cracking, hyperactive Riddler, whose alter-ego Edward Nygma is a nerdy, highly disgruntled ex-employee of Bruce Wayne. Together, these two masterminds plan to conquer the world with a device that not only mesmerizes users with 3-D television images, but also transports the viewer's thoughts into the Riddler's mind.Batman also has to contend with two other new people in his life. One is lovely psychiatrist Chase Meridian, who has fallen in love with Batman AND Bruce Wayne. Then there's Dick Grayson, a young, orphaned acrobat who desperately wants to become Batman's crime-fighting sidekick in order to get revenge on the man responsible for his parents' death: Harvey Two-Face.(7/10) "Not as dark as its predecessor but still a great visual feast"

Summary: It should have stopped here!
Review: The first Batman was a classic battle of good vs. evil "mano e mano" as the Joker had said. Starting with Batman Returns the policy appeared to be "stick in as many characters and subplots as possible and try to hook them together." In Batman Returns they could pull it off, but not so in this movie. First, the loss of Tim Burton and his stark, nightmarish vision is sorely missed. Schumacher's Gotham just doesn't have the gritty feel of someplace that would create a Batman. Val "I have one facial expression" Kilmer does not make a convincing Batman at all. I mean, sheesh, the guys only asset as an actor is his pretty face, and that was covered by a mask for the most part. While it was nice to see Jim Carrey playing a character instead of a noisemaker for once, that character was NOT the Riddler (the jury is still out as to who it was). Tommy Lee Jones sacrifices the subtlties of the comc book two-face and plays him as an uninteresting, hyperactive giggling madman. besides, didn't Billy Dee Williams play Harvey Dent in the first movie? Now he would have done it right! Although Chris O'Donnel does a good job with Robin, the script does not allow him the depth and development the character deserved (sorry Chris, but we gotta meet the subplot quota, you understand). Overall, disappointing compared to the earlier films, but worlds above "Batman and Robin."
