Summary: There willbe more
Review: I thought this movie as a whole was not well. The acting was not all it needed to be, exeptions: Natalie Portman, & Darth Maul. I feel that this movie was just to set the weels spinning, the filler will come in the next two. Just like the original series. I've been a fan since 1977 and may be jaded but I feel that this was a film that had to exist to set up the rest. Effects, of course, were amazing as was the background. The plot was not where it should have been. The sotry as a whole not bad, not great either.

Summary: Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phanton Menace
Review: I thought this movie was pretty good. It stayed right in line with the other Star Wars movies. The special effects were great! I think this is one of the best movies put out in years.

Summary: Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace (Widescreen Edition
Review: I thought this was a great movie. Granted it was not the best Star Wars movie, but hey, its been over 10 years, and I was hiungry for more. This is a great movie for family movie. Lucas did great keeping it at a PG rating. When I compare Star Wars with the Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, I feel the first movie wasn't as good. The Phantom Menace is the first in this series and Lucas has set the level to only make this series better. Only wish it was on DVD. The widescreen edition seems to be missing the top part of the movie. It keepss looking like the tops of the actors heads are getting chopped off.

Review: I thought this was a very good dvd.Jar Jar Binks stinks like nothing I've ever seen in a movie. A complete waste of film space, and completely unnecessary! He nearly RUINED the film. A few scenes could have been incredibly powerful were it not for him swaggering around with his floppy ears filling up half the screen. But I prefer streetbrawls.com There are even people who have taken the time to make Jar Jar hate sites! A total goof ball... agh... I can't go on writing about him.

Summary: BEST STAR WARS SO FAR!
Review: I thouhgt this movie was great. The special effects were outstanding. I will admit jar jar was a bit annoying, but thats no reason to hate this movie. The reason many people did'nt enjoy it was because it did'nt live up to the hype. It was impossible for it to. This movie was talked about and inticipated years before its release. There was no way it would of lived up to that hype. It was a great movie though and if you enjoyed the other star wars films or sc-fi/action movies you'll love star wars-episode one!!! Can't wait for the rest of the prequals!

Review: I thouht Episode 1 could of use more acting in it then all that effects. but otherwise it was a good movie and i cant wait to see Episode 2 with more of Sam L. Jackson. I give it 3 star because of the effects. Oh yea and also Darth Maul.

Summary: Impressive
Review: I too was dissapointed about the lack of a DTS version of this film. But, the Dolby Digital sountrack is very impressive. Audio and visual wise, this is one of the best DVD's that I own, and it is by far the best Dolby Digital DVD that I own. I can't understand why they couldn't have put a DTS version on the first disc since all of the extras are on disc two.

Don't let the lack of DTS, or your dislike of the Phantom Menace keep you from owning what I feel should be a part of anyone's DVD collection who cares to get the best out of their system.

I can't wait to see the other DVD's in the series. They should all be very very impressive!

Summary: too much folklore mixed with bad science
Review: I understand that folktales reach out to us because they are familar to us, yet I can't help but wish that Lucas would do something new and different. I have no idea why the Jar Jar character is here, no idea why they felt the need to explain the "force" in bad psuedo-science terms, and little respect for something that seems more geered toward making money off of toys than entertaining an audience. I was very very disappionted.

Summary: Let's Stir the Cauldron
Review: I used this movie to explain to my 6yo son many political lessons. Example: Taxes are oppressive . Centralized governments can lead to suppression of individual freedoms. Bill Clinton actually played Darth Sidius.
