Summary: Holy Spectacular movie Batman!!!
Review: From the first time I watched the tv series I fell in love with it. The characters are so different from each other - the penguin - catwoman. The jokes are tragic and the situations Batman and Robin get into are hilarious. The famous 'will Batman and Robin escape certain doom or will they meet an untimely death? find out next week' is classic. When they get into fights you see POW, ZZZAP, OWWW and many more. This movie version is a great continuation of the series and does not fail to deliver more outrageous adventures and a gripping climax. Watch out for the plastic shark!!! - you'll know what I mean when you watch it!!

Summary: Better Than all the New Batman movies!
Review: Yeah it's campy but it's campy in a fun way and is a much better movie than the much darker Batman movies which can be a little too creepy at times, I think Adam West is the best Batman and Burt Ward the best Robin, and Cesar Romero is the best Joker, Frank Gorshin is the best Riddler and Burgess Meredith is the best Penguin, and though not as good a Catwoman as Julie Newmar who is the definitive Catwoman Lee Meriwether was good and held her own.

Summary: Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb...
Review: I admit that this review is entirely biased, myself being a huge fan of the 1960's Batman television series. Anyone who is less than a hardcore fan will likely be either bored, disgusted, or render utterly apathetic by the film's conclusion. Granted, the complete lack of any sort of character development or serious plot developments does tend to grate on the length of the film - only 90 minutes, but seems like ages as the Dynamic Duo sprint from escapade to escapade. For the fan, however, the movie is a near-perfect representation of the series. Gratuitously campy? Certainly. Ridiculously buffoonish dialogue? Of course. Who would have it any other way? The Boy Wonder and Caped Crusader do an admirable job of acting (for their parts, that is), and, although Julie Newmar is disappointingly absent, the Rogues Gallery of Villains (Villains? There were others? Admit it, you spent the whole time staring at Newmar's replacement, Lee Meriweather, as Catwoman), stacked with original series actors Burgess Meredith, Caesar Romero and Frank Gorshin, is superb in their comic evil. Really 3.5 stars due to its inacessability to non-Batman-addicts, the movie is still very enjoyable to hardcore fans of the original series.

Summary: Nice Trip to '60's Gotham City
Review: Anyone expecting a dark Tim Burton-esque telling of The Batman's story is going to be very disappointed. But keep in mind, the 1960's Gotham was a far cry from the one that came about over the succeeding decades. This was a camp town, as the TV series shows, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. When I saw this film as a kid, it was breath-taking adventure. Today watching it, the film is a riot! Everything is labeled, from those Bat-poles (Access to Batcave) to the Bat-Ladder Batman uses when he gets out of the Batcopter. No, the villains aren't brooding like those in the later films, but they're not supposed to be. Complaining about that is like complaining that a black and white film isn't in color. It was a different time altogether, with a totally different approach to the material. The "Making of" feature is interesting, but a lot of that is already covered if you listen to the commentary track by Adam West and Burt Ward. That alone provides some very interesting insight about this and what it was supposed to be. Also, the other special features like the photo stills and tour of the Batmobile are very interesting and worth buying the film for. They contain an intersting look behind the scenes. I've seen this film listed under "Comedy" in video stores. That's about as good a place as any for it.

Summary: Holy, P.O.S. Batman!
Review: this is the WORST movie I have ever seen. I am one who will generally find something enjoyable about any movie (Heck, I liked Battlefield: Earth, Highlander 2, Star Trek V, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie), but this movie is just terrible. The material is idiotic at best, while the acting is just plain bad, even for that incarnation of Batman.

Summary: Slam bang action and oh yes he is just right for the part.
Review: Adam West is Batman in this great movie adaption from the 1966 television series.

Summary: Na na na na na na na na na na na na na BatMan.
Review: Way better than Micheal Keaton, Val Kilmer, or George Clooney. Superb acting by the whole cast. A must have for your collection. Only catwoman sucked. It should have been Julie Newmar.
