Summary: Hello Wolverine!!!
Review: I watched the cartoon on tv as a kid. To see it on the big screen was awesome. The wary, suspicious, and yes yummy Wolverine makes the movie. Add in the story of Rogue, Jean Grey, Storm , and the ever evil Magnito and you have a hit! The movie really centers around Wolverine and Rogue which answers a lot of questions you might have had about the comic strip or the cartoon. What? What questions? Well, for one, why does Rogue have white streaks in her hair? Want to find out? Watch the movie! You will not regret it. Also recommended: Dungeons and Dragons.

Review: I originally did not plan on seeing this movie, but many of my friends told me that it was good, so I finally gave into the peer pressure and saw it. I'm glad I did, because this movie is great. I guess the visuals are the real stars of the film, but the actors are still good. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are great as Proffesor X and Magneto, respectively. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is on the mark, and the character Toad (Ray Park) is cool in his own way. The script is good for the most part, but it does have some clichés, such as Wolverine and Cyclops fighting over Jean Grey, or Storm giving Wolverine a lecture about choosing sides. Also, a few lines weren't written very well, especially when Storm is about to fry Toad with a lightning bolt. She says, "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else!" I just don't see the threat. But all of the jokes were great, my favorite being the "Middle Claw" with Wolverine. This is a feast upon the eyes, and is very good for some laughs.

Summary: Storm Shines
Review: After Kate & Leopold & Swordfish (Hugh Jackman films)& Halle Berry's Oscar, I wanted to revisit the X-Men DVD. What a treat! I saw the theatrical release and watched this on VCR, but the DVD format is super. The interviews with director Singer on the Rose show really tell us what he was doing with the film; and he did deliver. The cartoon comic characters are there with enough action and pacing to keep the kids' interest, but there is also the depth of levels with themes of racism and intolerance to pique the adult viewer's interest and make this a movie ABOUT SOMETHING more than just the cartoon. The actors turn in fine performances. I enjoyed the extra material in the DVD version. We had fun watching part of it in French. The Fox commentary with Bruce Davison's Senate campaign commercials and the mock news format was a fun addition to the film. The actors' interviews are illuminating. I enjoyed seeing what the actress who plays Mystique (the blue woman) looked like. In retrospect, I really enjoyed the control Halee Berry shows with the character of Storm. This is a DVD that adds to the viewing enjoyment of the film. If you've seen this in other formats, you'll want to catch this one. Storm shines!

Summary: X-Men is a great comic book transfered to film!
Review: I love this film! It is a great adaptation of the comic book! The X-Men starring Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, and Ian McKellen. It is based on the popular Marvel comic book produced by Marvel Comics. This film relies heavlly on Special effects! Great Visuals and lighting! I thought Hugh Jackman was perfect Choice as Wolverine! He seemed much like comic book character! Anna Paquin as Rogue was great too! The plot centers around these two characters Wolverine and Rogue. The romance between Wolverine and Rogue is done well in the story. They have a special bond and chemisty as they get to know each other in the film. Patrict Stewarts performance as Professor Xavier is convincing and the relationship he has with Magneto (Ian McKellen) is very much intense! Professor Xavier and Magneto have this good versus Bad veiew of Normal humans. Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants wants to condemn Humanity for its unfair treatment of Mutantkind! But Professor Xavier believes that Mankind is uneducated and their is hope for Humans and Mutants to co-exist in our society! The is probably the best Marvel comic book ever made! Buy the DVD if you read the comic book and saw the Movie in theatre! The DVD includes multiple features including Movie Trailers, Hugh Jackman's screen test, X-Men art gallery,Interviews with X-Men Director Bryan Singer, and etc., Buy it! A must have for X-Men fans!

Summary: It deserves 5*!
Review: I just rented this dvd today and it was incredible! By seeing the x-men being real people,it makes you see a different side of them. It is a wonderful movie that I am going to buy. I wish that they would make a sequel, but we'll have to wait for that. It even has recent oscar winner Halee Barry( sorry if i spelled it incorrectly) and the hottie hugh jackman. If you aren't gonna buy it, it's deffentely at least worst seeing.

Summary: Well made, bring on the sequel
Review: X-Men is one of the best comic book adapted movies, it's right up there with both the original Superman and Batman movies. Plus the guy no one ever heard of, Hugh Jackman, gives the breakthrough performance of the year as Wolverine. Anna Paquin, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen shine as well. Halle Berry doesn't really work as Storm though; she doesn't have the tough look or right personality for the role. Angela Bassett would have been a better choice, possibly. Plus it would have been cool to see Beast, Gambit and Night Crawler in it, but I understand why they weren't, because who needs an overcrowded cast? The film had enough trouble giving enough screen time for the mutants that were in it as it as it is. Still, with those minor problems out of the way, X-Men is still my number #1 pick for best movie of Summer 2000.

Summary: Is Hugh Jackman hot, or what !?!?!..
Review: ..this is a great movie for the older kids, and X-men fans; but I'm sorry, Hugh Jackman is just the hottest thing on two legs,
and steals this movie away from everyone else.

Summary: Basically A Good Flick
Review: Wolverine was cool, and so was Magneto. The movie was OK, but not the sort of movie you watch again and again. Will it bring the return of the super hero genre? Perhaps

Summary: A good action flick
Review: X-Men was a great movie especially first time I saw it. It was a nice script, with good actors, & it introduced me to the team of mutants protecting a world that hates & fears them.I really got into the comics & the cartoon. I realized there were a few holes, but every time they take a comic & slap it on the screen, there will be mistakes. It is a good adaption, though. The acting was very good, especially Hugh Jackman's & Anna Paquin's.
There is a sequel being filmed now, & I, like all whiney comic book reader's who want the film version to be perfect, have a few suggestions.
#1: Give us Beast. He is the real mutant doctor who is super-smart.
#2: Give Storm( Halle Berry) a real character! She couldn't have been mor useless. THis is the writer's fault, not Halle's.
Even though I have bashed one of the greatest movies ever, you should buy it. You'll love it!
