Summary: This film made Stallone a champion in real life too!
Review: This one had to be a sleeper. It gives every indication of being a low-budget film; but it proves you don't have to spend a lot of money to make a super quality cinema spectacle. This is the movie that will ensure Stallone will be remembered with the greatest actors who ever appeared on the screen. I personally enjoyed the movie because I am a native Philadelphian who recognized many of the locations where this film was shot.

Summary: Don't confuse this movie with later Rambo-Rocky's
Review: This is simply the best boxing film ever made. It has the raw power and emotion rarely experienced in a movie. Rocky is a classic, the sequels are not. Rocky has a human element absent in anything Stallone has done since 76. There is character develpment, excellent acting and of course and a heart tugging ending that is arguably the greatest in cinema history.

Summary: Here Balboa comes!
Review: It is terrific film and enjoyed every minute of this film. It surely is inspiration film and Stallone gives brilliant performance. Wish that he would win an Oscar for Best Actor in 1976, but he got an oscar nomination as Best Actor. Highly recommend you to check it out. Not like another Rocky films.

Review: I've seen this movie about 100 times. I could see it another 100 times

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A great human drama.
Review: Unlike its followers, ROCKY is a touching, down to earth drama about a small time boxyer whos never had the chance to prove himself until the heavy weight champion of the world offers him a chance at the title in a scheme to make money. What makes the story so appealing is the characters, not the action, as would follow in later Rocky films. The love relationship between Rocky and his best friends sister Adrien is a great and touching move by Stallone, who wrote the film. But that is merely one of the many great sub-plots that carry this touching human drama to greatness.

I will admit, I wish I could have given in 3 1/2 stars, but I think Four is fair. It's a great movie classic.

Summary: ROCKY, ROCKY, ROCKY!
Review: One of those once-in-a-lifetime films which you could watch each week of your life and NEVER get tired of it. The story is from an old 1950s B-movie, but the emotional impact and the awesome atmosphere and characters remind of an old 1950s masterpiece (i.e. On the Waterfront). Probably Stallone's only role which dosen't involve weapons, and one of the landmark films of the 70s. The ending is undisputably one of the 10 most famous of alltime, and it couldn't have been made any better.
