Summary: This is not really a 'Rambo' or Stallone film...
Review: This is still one of my all-time favorites because of the plausible storyline. It is not Stallone blowing away 200 guys with ease and looking cool while doing it. While he wounds several men only one is killed. My only problem with this film was the cheesy flashback scene which, fortunately, only lasted for a minute and sets the movie into high gear. Brian Dennehy is incredible as Sherrif Teasle. I always get into this film from start to finish and still find the end pretty sad. If you think today's action films all have the same plot (none) then you might find this to your liking.

Summary: Fast paced action thriller set in the Pacific Northwest
Review: First Blood is the story of a Special Forces Vietnam veteran John Rambo who returns home to America to find that he doesn't fit in. Hiking throught the Pacific Northwest Rambo finds out that his best freind from Nam has died from agent orange induced cancer. He wanders off and in a nearby town encounters a small town sheriff who first harasses him and then arrests him. Rambo busts out of jail using the skills that were taught to him in Nam. It turns out that Rambo was a member of an elite special forces group and that he is in essence a killing machine. Most of the movie revolves around Rambo taking to the woods with the local police and then the State Police and National Guard giving chase. Of course they are no match for Rambo who is able to demonstrate his fighting skills admirably. The action sequences in this film are excellent. Stallone is at his best as the crazed predator hunting down the inept police force. The film holds your attention and is interesting to the end. The only downside is the final speech given by Stallone which is so rambling and hard to understand that it could put the audience to sleep. Stalllone is best when he is not talking but attacking and this is what made this film 4 stars.

Summary: Stallone is in top form in this tough as nails picture
Review: First Blood is one of the ultimates in action. John Rambo is pitted against a small Army, with Brian Dennehy leading the attack. Some the best acting by all involved takes place in a film where one is forced to fight against incredible odds.If your a Stallone fan, and haven't yet seen it, First Blood is highly recommended.

Review: I THOUGHT THIS MOVIE WAS THE FUNNYST MOVIE I EVER SAW IN MY LIFE LIKE THE SHAVEING PART STALLONES SCREAMING IN THAT SCENE AND IN THE MOVIE IS FUNNY

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Better than given credit for.
Review: This is more than beat up the bad guys. This movie has a decent plot to it. War Veteran that drives million dollar equipment, goes home and gets treated horribly(like real life Nam Vets). He wants something to eat, but the sheriff(Dehenny does an excellent job) doesn't want "people like him" in town. It turns into war. Much better than 2 and 3.

Summary: One of the best action films ever
Review: This movie features great performances by Stallone, Brian Dennehy and Richard Crenna. Great story but most of all great action. You will remember this film after seeing. One of the top five action movies ever, up there with Road Warrior, Aliens and Terminator.

Summary: Excellent,Outstanding,Superb, Stallone As His Best!!
Review: "First Blood" What a excellent film and storyline which was made back in the good old nineteen eightes The Plot: John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) has just arrived back from the war as a P.O.W. (Prisoner Of War)and wants to locate one of his war buddys but finds out he has died due to cancer. He enters the States but finds out that everyone dislikes him and from there he starts his own private little war which turns into a nightmare which was caused by the herroin in the film Brian Dennehy who woudn't let Rambo get something to eat. The two follow ups Rambo:First Blood Part II and Rambo III are not as good as the original "First Blood". Sylvestor Stallone does a great job and has worked hard in this particular movie, I reccomend this movie to anyone. "Adios Amigos"

Summary: "They drew first blood, not me."
Review: Required viewing for action gurus. John Rambo gets arrested by prejudicial cops and, after having Vietnam flashbacks, he snaps and goes on a rampage. Great action film and I'm sure at the time it could have happened, if it didn't.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Rambo kicks @$$!
Review: A good action movie, mostly helped by an excellent performance from Stalone, who makes even the most ridiculous action sequences seem credible. Rambo is a vietnam veteran with emotional scars who wages a one man war against the police after having been unjustly arrested. This movie is more about his post-war alienation than the action itself.

Summary: THIS IS WHAT DVD WAS MADE FOR
Review: Now this is the reason why I bought a DVD player. Superb picture quality (just look at this compared to a VHS copy at your local video store), unbelievable sound transfer for the date of the movie, and above all else, a great film! With all the extra features, there's no reason not to get this film!
